No honey mustard or oil... my sandwich never looked like this from wawa

I ordered an Italian roll with certain ingredients. They made my sandwich how they wanted it

Soggy smelly sandwich. I opened it after I got to my friends house (3 blocks away and I drove)

I was starving and came across this Wawa's. I was so excited.... until I opened this soggy sandwich (which also had a bad smell). The onions I believe were old. Also the customer service could use a little work!

Hands down the best little store around. It's about time we get an affordable quality shop in this location.

A friend invited me to go on a little Duke's tour with her, and this was our first stop. They were decked out in panda decor and had a charming menu. I was mainly there for their drinks, but I decided to try their quinoa salad too. What a hefty, satisfying salad! The butternut squash, goat cheese, and pumpkin seeds were the highlights. Based on this initial experience, I'd be back for sure. Good happy hour too. Now, this location may be a little out of my way, but thankfully there are closer Duke's.

Server came by, not so much as a greeting or introduction, just a short, "do you know what you want?" Fine - no problem. We ordered two avocado toasts and side of fries to share. Now, the menu clearly says the avocado toasts are served with a "runny egg". Ok sure, no problem. What i did not anticipate was a half raw egg with the yolk swimming in a sea of translucent completely uncooked "whites". It was like a golden disc encased in a snot rocket. Ok, maybe that's their "runny". Slide it off the toast and press on - snail trail of mucus be damned. The avocado spread was great - bright, citrusy, and well seasoned. The "hot sauce" was likely from a bottle and could have been left off. The radishes would have benefitted from being tossed in lemon, salt and pepper. The image of the "runny" egg was too much so I ate half the toast serving and meandered to the fries. Not bad, crispy , hot, and...wait...sweet...something is off, I can't put my finger on it but at least it's not a raw egg. I keep eating. My kids looks at me and says, "do these remind you of funnel cake?" THAT'S IT - FUNNEL CAKE. We have both had enough, ask for the check. The server comes by gives me the clunky machine, I tap and put it down, he reaches for it and I say, it's processing, I still have to sign...and then he starts snapping his fingers...WHAT IN THE ACTUAL €¥($ ARE WE DOING RIGHT NOW?!? Never again. Never, again.

There's also a register around the counter, if you want to order in-person. The space was tight, but this is Georgetown and the restaurant is in a rowhouse (Note: you do have to climb a few stairs to get in). They have a self-serve water station and a designated crepe station for their workers in a nook by the front. There's narrow counter seating and some extra seating in the back of the restaurant. I'm always on the hunt for some good falafel, so I ordered the Falafel Sandwich ($10.50). They call it a sandwich but it's more of a wrap. It wasn't busy when we arrived after 10pm on a weeknight. Food was made in less than 10 minutes, but service was a bit taciturn. We ordered two sandwiches: the falafel ($10.50) and beef shawarma ($12.75). I do wish they labeled the items so that we could have easily identified whose was whose. A sticker, a marking, or any kind of indication would've been helpful so that we weren't stuck playing wrap roulette. The falafel was made to order (four pieces). The sandwiches were served nice and hot. I enjoyed the falafel, but the whole sandwich ate dry. You definitely need to get some sauce to top it off with. This was my first time trying Muncheez, so I didn't order any sauces because I didn't know any better. I didn't try the beef shawarma, but just unwrapping it, it was super, off-puttingly greasy. I'll admit that I've been spoiled by Falafel Inc.'s cheap and delicious sandwiches, sauces included. While Muncheez's sandwich is bigger, sturdier, and heartier than Falafel Inc.'s pita sandwich, it is also 2.5x more expensive, and I wouldn't go as far to say 2.5x better. While the menu selection at Muncheez's is more extensive and the late night hours make it convenient to grab a quick bite, Muncheez didn't fully dazzle.

The menu is largely build-your-own. I ordered a chicken shawarma bowl with the fixings. I thought the price was pretty fair. The bowl was filling and yummy with the diverse flavors from the toppings. If I'm craving shawarma in Georgetown, I'd stop by again.

It's kind of tricky to do wings and karaoke simultaneously (the sticky fingers!), but you have to figure out how to juggle your singing and eating time. The karaoke hosts make signing up easy with a QR code. Other bars probably use the same program, but the song list is very current. Karaoke starts right at 8pm. Early in the night is best to do multiple songs. Because it's so close to Georgetown, and essentially GW and AU, you get the younger crowd coming in later, but karaoke is still fun! They picked ABBA and Billy Joel, among current artists. My friend and I got 20 wings, half and half Old Bay and Honey BBQ. Hot inside a takeout box, the wings came out quickly after we ordered. I wish they gave you more napkins to start, like more than two, but at least we got a wet wipe. They gave us more after we asked. My friend and I also got margaritas, a $7 special that night. Not the strongest but still good.

We ordered a burger, wings, and a mix of fries and onion rings. The burger was cooked a bit more than I prefer but it was still enjoyable. The real standouts were the wings. We tried the mango habanero and the Old Bay honey. Both were excellent, with the mango habanero carrying a nice kick and a saucier finish while the Old Bay honey had a great balance of sweet and savory. The onion rings were crispy. The seasoned fries were fine, though they weren't "seasoned" Overall, I would definitely come back for the wings. The burger I would likely pass on next time but the wings alone make this place worth a return visit.
