Wawa's is a local gas station convenience store chain that really has it all. I come from a land where 7-eleven reigns supreme, but in this neck of the woods- Wawa is where it's at. One thing that really sets it apart is their curb side pick up where you can order online, pull up and have your snacks, drinks, etc delivered to your car. The 24/7 hot food cafe seems to be a hit. Even on Christmas at midnight they were serving up Mac and cheeses, sandwiches and everything else! Another very automated experience with you ordering on a kiosk and waiting for your number to be called when your food is ready. For me, I was keeping an eye out for all the snacks I haven't seen before. Herrs ketchup and old bay chips were on that list ( ketchup chips yay, old bay nah). We come here when in town with our kiddo for nice cold custom smoothies. I can stand the computer ordering and kiddo places ny order unfortunately it's the only way you can order. So much for customer service! They yell out your number and leave it on the pick up counter. I do have to admit I do like their smoothies, and the optional add ins they have. I wish they had and informative nutritional information foe those of us that have to mandatory keep track of sodium, protein and sugar for our health. We all loved!! Stopped here to order a pizza and take it back to the house. When you walk in you place the order on the computer and it gives you a ticket, so you can pay for it and pick it up The register is pretty far for a elderly person to walk, my Mom came in with me but luckily I was with her she couldn't walk over to pay. After paying you wait back over where the pizza comes out . It didn't take too long. We did however have a drink too, my Mom had an icee and I had a mocha iced coffee. It was really good for being in a machine!! Once the pizza was done we left. I have to say my parents and I thought it was pretty good for being made at a gas station!! The toppings were plenty! They did good making it. the crust was perfect!! We all agreed we would have it again sometime. Definitely worth getting. And under $20! Improve? Customer Service and general decency of employee. Yes I am singling out the "older lady" ( no shade as so am I) short, with menopause belly to match, and red/blonde hair and glasses working NewHaven store today before 8 am. Ice was out on fountain drink machine. I took what little ice I could manage to show her and tell her that it was out. She rudely said she would have to charge me for it. If I didn't like it, I could talk to the manager. I did and the manager apologized. I still walked away with a terrible scar in my memory. I never used to shop at Wawa for anything now I get gas and sometimes food. I love that they have fresh pico to put on my breakfast sandwich. On positive side, I also their clean bathroom promise. I have been traveling lately. I have been told that the charge is for the ice not the cup. I have not been charged at times. Not once was I told I'd have to be charged for something that I didn't get! ( and would melt away in no time) this lady did not know that seven hours prior I had just filled up my gas tank. I make the choice to shop there and get gas there which I can just as easily do at RaceTrac. Their bathrooms are pretty clean too . ...and their pizza is pretty good. One bad apple! read more

Most of us call them subs, but since Wawa originated in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area, they use that area's term for subs, which is "hoagies." By the way, the term "hoagie" was said to have oriented because the hardworking people at the Hoagland shipyard. The name "hoagie: stuck. The subs (or if you prefer, "hoagies") here are good, especially when you consider that they are coming from a gas station. My go-to item at Wawa is probably their Italian sub (or "hoagie"). Went there a few times around midnight to order milkshakes and they weren't available to order on the computer. Then I go there tonight and it is on the screen to order milkshakes so I put my order in and the girl came up to us and said oh, we can't do the milkshakes now we already tore down the machine. When I told her I already put my order in on the machine she told us that it was a mistake it shouldn't have been on there. Like how is it the customer's fault that you didn't update the machine? She was very rude about it. I understand not being able to do something after a certain time, but we got there before the time they stopped doing milkshakes. The least they could do is update their computer system so that way customers don't order something and get told that they cancel the order. Especially after we've waited 15 to 20 minutes on our order to be told we're not getting it. Then my husband was accused of stealing a sandwich, because he grabbed one from the hot case and put it down to go grab a drink from the cooler and when he came back the sandwich was gone. A manager came out and asked him where he put it, if it was in his pocket. My husband said no I placed it down right here, pointing to the counter, and now it's gone. She went back into the office and looked at the cameras and saw an apparent homeless man come in and take the sandwich and walk out. No apology for accusing him of stealing, all she said was well I guess I accused the wrong person. And walked away. This Wawa location has poor customer service, poor management, and not very accommodating to customers. read more

I asked for a manager her name is Alexandria. She is the nastiest person with the Ugliest soul I've ever met. I asked ANDREA for the young lady's name in the front. She got really loud and nasty and was trying to kick me out of the store all because I was trying to tell her how I felt about how I was treated with an employee. I was purchasing Tobacco products for a friend, and that WAWA NEVER IDS I am in my 30s. This is the first time that I am asked.. It is not only part of your job to ask ID I get it but don't roll your eyes at me and get nasty with me and racial profile me over not having any ID. The worst customer service ever. Made a quick pit stop here for some coffee and to fill up our tank as well as to use the facilities early on a Saturday morning. The scent of freshly made coffee greeted us we entered the store. Rest rooms were clean and tidy. Check out was fast and efficient with a very steady flow of customers. We were back on the road in no time. Good job, Wawa! read more

My brother and I stop at Wawa for almost every fishing trip we do. It's a quick pit stop for fuel - human and motorized vehicle. Service is typically very good and the bathrooms are relatively clean (among the top) for a service station. Now if there was a Sheetz around here, we'd see some competition. Anyways, the Wawa I am reviewing is located on New Haven right in front of Lowe's. I really shouldn't have to explain what the interior or exterior looks like because they use the same floor plan for every one of their stores as far as I can see. What makes them stand out is the fact their food, especially for a gas station, is way beyond anything you've ever had at a gas station. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner fare. Soups, hoagies, sandwiches, paninis, coffees, frozen drinks, chicken tenders, macaroni, and other delicious foods. For a quick bite, go to the front where they have stuffed pretzels, small sandwiches, jalepeno bites, and cheese sticks ready to go. The price is also decent for what they offer. In the end, there really isn't much to say about Wawa but what they do offer goes above and beyond the call for gas station fare. If I am ever around one and I am hungry, I find them to be one of my top places to go simply to get something to eat. Oh... the gas is fine too. :P read more

First ever wawa trip! They are new to our town. They have food! Hot food and cold food. WaWa Is suppose to have some of the best sandwiches, for gas station food that is. Their food was a big step up from Racetrack ' s sandwichs! The people working seemed nice. The people making the food really didn't have to much of anything to say. You had to order the food on a touch screen machine. They do have 2 of the coke freestyle machines for lots of different types of flavors to choose from. read more

Had been sitting here for about 45 mi s doing some work on my laptop because spectrum has free outdoor WiFi at this intersection (not Wawa's Internet) and I didn't want to jam up a parking space so I parked in the far corner of the lot against a non-painted curb and did my work. Mind you this is always where I go to get gas and had filled up there earlier about 2 hours ago. So it's not like I don't do business here. I was getting ready to leave and decided I would walk in to buy a drink, snack and use the restroom. I kept my car parked where it was and walked the distance up to the store. As I was walking in, all the employees are standing in front of the store smoking and as I walk up a guy name "LT" says, hey that's not a parking space. I brushed it off and thought he was kidding and then he said it again, and I was like you are joking right? And he said No, you've been sitting there for nearly an hour and that's not a parking space. It is 330am and literally the store is dead with no one else around. This was obvious because every employee was standing outside smoking. I went off and was like dude I was coming in to make a purchase as I am not a loiterer and do quite a bit of business here all the time, I just don't like using up your parking spaces for people that are just running in and out. Most places like having clean law biding citizens sitting at there business these hours of the night because it deters theft and crime the more normal people there are around. I plan to contact Wawa corporate about the incident and even took pictures of where I was parked to put the whole thing into perspective. While managing the need for all the various necessities in expectance of a major on-coming hurricane, I was so pleased to find ice bags well stocked. The bathroom was very clean, and the cashier lines moved quicker than expected, and especially for the volume of customers, (mind, that all the local Cumberland Farms store were all closed and sealed up). Luckily, I was able to quickly get some tasty hoagies for my husband and I, as we were a bit worn out form all the storm preparations. Excellent job! WAWA does a great job at what they do. I don't go there for gas even though it's a gas station. I go for the sandwiches. You will not find a better gas station sandwich anywhere. This location is new, so I think the sub-tank will improve. But, still, very good. The best part is it's really fast and not crummy. Example: I like Publix subs, some Jersey Mikes locations and two places in Fort Lauderdale that can't be matched (not La Spada, unless I want a bad cramp). The cashier kept flirting with her coworkers over her mic intercom which made checking out very slow and caused a long line but I wouldn't have minded if the icee machine wasn't breaking down...Literally the Coke was melting very quickly because it was coming out like sloshy and wasn't as icy as it should of been...By the time I left half the drink was melted already. read more

Any other year and I would've sworn I'd always give wawa a 5 star review. I still have some love left, and I'm a fan, so we'll just go with the 4. I've always been a fan of their hoagies, for years now. I used to live in driving distance from one and would share half my paycheck with this chain. Since they'll be local in broward soon, i used to joke that I'll move within stumbling distance next to a location drivable to work I liked them that much. Got a panini today (already ate it), and got 2 hoagies for the road for a couple additional meals I like them that much. I think Yelp is spoiling me. I've tried so many unique and flavorful items recently that the panini was pretty good but the bread, although didnt look burn, it was tough to bite into and seemed a little too crispy. No big deal, I ate that on site and left happy. Excited to eat some more, as soon as I got home from this trip, I took a couple of bites from both other hoagies (a turkey, and a cheese steak) also to do a soggy-check since they were left in a cooler for a couple of hours. They looked very normal, everything was as-ordered, same quality and quantity as I've always received. It's a very good and consistent chain, but the flavor just wasnt there. It was a very bland and boring turkey sub, and a very bland and boring cheese steak. I'm not sure what I'm expecting from a gas station. They've just impressed me for so many years, and it's not going downhill, again I'm just getting spoiled with yelp and can't say this is "as good as it gets". Came in atound 8-8:30am this morning to get a drink and decided to grab a breakfast sandwich near the line i was waiting in to purchas my drink. I ate the sandwich on my way home and ended up stuck in my bathroom until 3:45pm and had to call out of work sick due to food poisoning. Please be careful what you service people. Especially durring the Covid-19 times. Now i may not be able to go back to work for 2 weeks because everyone is afraid of having me around because i was sick. read more
