Anyone who says they can rip out your short hairs by the roots and it won't hurt is lying or has Conrad Murrray waiting in the wings. This was the least painful to date. I got this from Groupon and Jen will honor the price an additional time; but this would be a deal at full price. The salon was clean and smelled divine. Jen was very friendly, funny but most importantly fast. My appointment was at 1:00 and i was back in my car at 1:20, with time for chatting before and after. The results are great. Slapped on bleach, added color after. No cut, left my hair copper. Paid 140.00 plus a tip... Had to go back to fix it because my boyfriend told me I looked like a copper top battery. Wrote to them on their website that I was unhappy With the situation. And gave them an opportunity to compensate me in some way (which I would never have even asked for but everyone told me that's ridiculously expensive) Now this review Is my only way of letting them know how unhappy I was with paying top dollar for a bleach/color job. Upon a friend's recommendation, I went to Jen at Le Beau for a Brazilian wax, my first in years, and I was very satisfied. The salon is very welcoming and Jen made me feel completely comfortable (or as comfortable as can be for a Brazilian wax). She is very friendly and talkative and incredibly fast, as well as thorough. The products she used and her recommendation for after-care made such a difference. I have very sensitive skin and the redness and irritation that often accompany a wax were minimal. I have been going to Le Beau since they opened. The owner, Rebekah, is also my stylist. I cannot praise her enough. She has an uncanny ability to figure out the perfect color for your hair. I just told her what I was looking for and she nailed it! She also cuts my hair perfectly. I don't have to promote her to anyone because I am constantly stopped by people asking where I get my hair done. Her work speaks for itself. She is incredibly talented, and the salon is lovely. It is tucked away behind Main Street, near Lassens, so she does not have any street visibility, but if you are looking for a fantastic sylist, you should look for her! The biggest complaint that people have told me about going to Rebekah is that she is so booked up that they have to wait! What can I say, all good things are worth waiting for. read more

I had a very unfortunate experience at Le Beau Salon recently. I called ahead of my appointment asking for balayage pricing and info, and was advised to email some photos of my hair (which I did) so they could be passed on to the stylist. When I went in, I was seated and met my stylist Jessica. I showed her my "inspiration photo" of a beachy blonde balayage look I was hoping to achieve. Jessica brought out some color swatches, and I immediately told her that I do not like brassy, warm tones and that my hair does tend to go that way, and to please create a more ashy look/color. She assured me that it wouldn't be brassy and that she understood the color and look I was asking for. I sat with a burning scalp (which she told me was just the color working) for 40 minutes. As she was washing my hair mentioned that it had gone warm/brassy, but that she could fix it. She ended up using a darker color all over the roots again to try and cover the Orange, so I sat with a burning scalp again with more dye for another 30-40 minutes. When I left the salon I had been there so long I just wanted to leave, but I had brassy orange hair, with blue/grey highlights from the second color processing (which didn't wash out as she said they would). I went home and cried and called the salon in the morning asking to please take a look at my hair and see what we could do to fix it. I didn't get a call back, but several texts messages from Jessica stating that she couldn't give me the look I wanted, did not want me to come in and simply preferred me to take a refund. I said I didn't want that, and just wanted her to fix the color. She said no, I had no choice but to accept a refund, but all I wanted was for her to fix my hair. She said that she couldn't. I am surprised that after calling the salon saying how upset I was, that the owner or anyone else from the salon didn't feel an obligation to call me back. Very unhappy with the experience, and unwillingness to fix the problem or even take a look at my hair again, never again! read more

I appreciated her honesty and ideas and made an appointment for a week later. She had to fix a mess that I had made trying to do my own hair, and she did a fantastic job. Finding Katie was a blessing. I used to live in LA, where eyebrow studios are on practically every corner. When I first moved to Ventura, I had my eyebrows butchered at a well-known Ventura salon (which will go unnamed). They were so horribly done that parts would not even grow back.
