Got my first ever waxing and it was a Brazilian. It was a great experience and definitely not as bad as I had expected. Rachael was awesome and easy to talk to. I'm definitely going back. The crotch area was naturally a little sensitive and some parts hurt more than others but not bad and the butt area was not painful at all but a little weird. read more

Rachael above anyone deserves your business! She's VERY affordable!! I went to get a full leg wax + bikini ($50) a few days ago and it was the most wonderful experience. She uses homemade products on your skin for before and after waxing(grapeseed oil, grapeseed oil+witch hazel+tea tree). Her technique was very painless and my legs are the smoothest after a wax they have EVER been. Plus she didn't miss any spots and made sure to check if there was any sticky wax anywhere so it didn't get it stuck to my sheets or car seats! PLUS she was extremely lovely company. We had excellent conversation that made the hour fly by! The salon is SO CUTE. It's like rustic and shabby chic. It's a very inviting space. I had no problem finding free parking right in front. I got one for a waxing place located near UTC, where I met Rachael & she was right on the money! Her technique was exactly what I was looking for & she went out of her way to make me feel comfortable. On top of that, she was friendly & sweet! Unfortunately, the next appointment I had scheduled with her, they reached out to me saying I'd be placed with a different esthetician. If you're a dude that gets waxed, it's hard to get recommendations by "word of mouth". Why? Because it's weird to ask other dudes about waxing. So you're probably on Yelp trying to do your research independently when you came across this page. I can tell you as a fellow dude who has gone to many waxers in San Diego that there is no one better than Rachael. Trust me, I learned the hard way. Skip the bad waxers out there (and there are a lot of them) and the damage they will do to your skin. Avoid random Groupons. Just go straight to Rachael. She is excellent.
