Amazing experience due to my cereologist. But I had an issue with the front desk attendant. This was my very first visit. I ran into traffic and called to inform that I was 10 minutes behind. Upon my arrival, Carlie at the front desk, who answered my previous call, was absolutely rude and her energy was not conducive to a relaxing experience. If I call prior to, what I don't want to experience is a "scolding" and rude energy about my appointment. I had Portia as my cereologist. She was absolutely amazing! She gave great conversation to take my focus off the waxing and she was funny! She also gave a really great wax. I'll be back to see Portia. But I hope Carlie is not the one who greets me. read more

Antonia did my brows and Brazilian. She's very knowledgeable and shows you what she is going to do with your brows and asks for your input on what you would like. She is very thorough with both the brows and Brazilian. I'll definitely be back. Location wise, it is pretty convenient location if you're near the mall/ movie theater. The location is clean and they are very hygienic. It is on the side where Wild Wing is, so parking is easier than if it were near the theater. The only thing I didn't like was them trying to sell their product, but I assume that just comes with the territory of being more corporate (which is why I docked my rating by 1 star). read more

Interesting day at the spa...Columbia SC. We decided to checkout the local Waxing in the City services for a couple of treatments. The staff are wonderfully respectful and helpful. I've been here multiple times for the side burn wax. They always do a great job! It's quick and I usually don't have any irritation. Just make sure to tell the employee to not wax too far up the hair line. They tend to wax so far up that they wax off my actual hair. I've been waiting about half a year for the hair to grow back long enough to tuck behind my ear. I specifically asked the employee to not wax too high up but she did it anyway. I decided to choose Lisa as my cerantologist as I had read many great reviews about her. My experience with her was amazing!! Although, it wasn't my first time getting a brazilian Lisa still took the time to explain everything she was going to be doing during my service. She was very thorough and literally took her time to make sure every inch of hair was gone. She made me feel very comfortable and had a great conversation the whole service. Happened to see this establishment while eating one night and read the great reviews and decided to give it a shot. You have the option to walk in, call in, or create an appointment online. They advertised the new clients get 1/2 service and on yelp there was a promotion for free eyebrow wax with any other service. They performed head to toe areas of waxing for men and women and even had some teenager services. The location is really nice near copper river grill and British bulldog eatery. The interior was tastefully decorated and incorporated the logo color orange. Nice display of products, sitting area, and front desk. The front desk clerk was extremely friendly. I was booked and seen on time. The room was clean and nicely decorated with the essentials. I got my eyebrows waxed by Madison. She was really nice. She examined my eyes, asked me what I wanted done and got to work. There wax was new to me. It hardens and is peeled off vs using strips to be pulled off, I loved this method. She was very thorough. After waxing, she would comb and cut or pluck any unwanted hairs. After she was done, she applied a balm. The results were really nice, no redness that I usually had, nor burning or irritation. Great job. She had good conversation too, we hit it off! Lol. The wax was a little bit warmer than I was use too but I didn't get burned so no real complaint from me. I would definitely return if I still lived in the area. Prices were higher than normal places but for the attention received and the method used, I would say it was worth it. I'm from out of town and I was visiting my sister when she told me about this place. She had her face waxed and told me I needed to do it too! So I called for an appointment and the receptionist answered all the questions I had. I came in for a full face wax and I left very happy! I mean, waxing your face is suuuper painful, but Gillian was very nice, friendly and super attentive. The place was nice and clean. I highly recommend this spot! 1.) Customer service was a bit crappy. Went in to get my legs done. Technician had me undress and THEN told me I had to wait a week before my hair was long enough. I was wearing a skirt....couldn't she have told me BEFORE I got undressed? 2.) She was 10 minutes late for my appointment. 3.) The rooms remind me of a surgical area or gyno office. No ambiance what-so-ever. Half off first visit sounds nice, but I'd rather go somewhere I can be a regular customer, paying less with better scenery and better customer service. read more

Went here last week, the staff is friendly. My issues was with all the wax and residue left on me after service and hair left. I was told it will all wash off easily but that was not true. There was wax left attached to hair and scrubbing was needed for the wax left on my legs. Since wax and powder was left on me when I left I wasn't aware that patches of hair was left on my legs; had to shave. The Brazilian was good but incomplete due to the bum not being done. Well long story short I decided I won't be returning for waxing services. read more

Ask for Madison..she is awesome! Love my brows and they use wax that is non sensitive skin. For the 1st time my brows were not gleaming red.
