Buyer Beware. Diwali DISAPPOINTMENT! The owner is absolutely INCONSIDERATE and UNETHICAL and UNPROFESSIONAL in his business practices. You may even be SCOLDED like me over any minor issue. He will keep changing prices for exact same service provided previously/ routinely. Even if you confirm price each time you walk in to be sure, he'll still try to raise price AFTER service is complete (so customer feels wrongfully compelled). This evening I confirmed price for hair and henna as soon as I reached, because of past experiences. We verbally agreed. After we did my face waxing, he asked if I wasn't in a hurry, if I could wait while they do threading and waxing for a customer who suddenly came SEVERAL minutes AFTER me. I nicely agreed but emphasized it was my Birthday and Diwali on the same day (11/4) this year so please be sure to take care of me too, as my hair and henna were still pending (each usually takes about 7 minutes). Apparently the other customer was a greater profit so ETHICS went out the window when my turn came. After I waited ~30m, the owner suddenly increased the price for my hair from verbally agreed upon $12 to $20 - without any good / valid reason. I was disappointed but still wanted the service given my Birthday and Diwali so nicely offered $15 just because other salon appts wouldn't be available in time for my Diwali party the very next night. He very rudely and loudly said NO, the price was now $20 EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, even though I waited and even though he agreed $12 just ~30m earlier. So I again nicely said let's just do my henna and he refused. He said it was too late, they suddenly wanted to close. I had pointed out that I was speaking at a normal volume and he had been speaking at a needlessly high volume / aka yelling. He says because "I am pissed off." Sorry but there is NO reason to raise your voice to a regular customer, who was being perfectly calm, especially over a mere $5. And he refused to do my henna though I started to tear up because I had told him henna is a way of celebrating given my Birthday blessedly falls on Diwali. The beautician Deepali even looked sadly at me because the owner was scolding me over $5 and refusing me the very quick services after I had waited for the other (apparently more profitable) customer. So there you have it - despite all, there is not even an IOTA of customer service, professionalism, or even making a young lady's Diwali and Birthday a happy one. The very least they could do was complete the henna service since the design and price were not at all in question. I had not at all raised my voice so am not ever accepting being yelled at by a BUSINESS OWNER. You need to be more PROFESSIONAL than that, have BASIC BUSINESS ETHICS & minimal DECENCY. You should not treat your customers SO VERY POORLY because one day you will run out of customers to cheat and abuse. Especially with so many other salons in the area with competitive service such as Bindiya and Payal also in Parsippany. Forget customer is always right, customers even get scolded here. read more

The woman that threaded my eyebrows didn't wash her hands nor did she use hand sanitizer before threading which is a red flag. The shop is dirty and unsanitary. Some of the workers are standoffish and not so friendly. I would NOT recommend this business. AVOID THIS PLACE! read more

Went to this salon for the first time for an eyebrow threading. My skin was a bit more irritated then it normally is. This could be because i haven't gotten a threading in quite some time or it's the type of thread this salon uses. I would like to give it another try and see how my skin reacts. If we could give this place a zero, we would. 1. The right internal side was rounded, while the left internal side is straight. 2. Center was not fully cleaned/all hair take out 3. Ends not cleaned with straight lines. 4. Bottom, was not cleaned in a sharp straight line. Sooo many other places that can do the same job and have you leave feeling amazing. I booked Malti to do my mom's hair and makeup for a weekend because we had a wedding to go to. When I picked her up on Saturday, Malti said she would not do her hair and makeup on Sunday. I asked her the reason why and her response was this. "Your mom is too picky. She wasted my time." How rude is that to say to a customer! First of all we paid you for your services, it was not free or discounted. If I am paying you do to something, especially hair and makeup I would want it to look nice and how I like it. Malti said, she wanted to be done in 1.5 hrs but it took her 2 hours to do everything. My mom told me she would stop and make phone calls and help other customers that would come in. What she said was highly rude and unprofessional. Will not be going back for anything. read more

The lady by window should quit her jobs and find another profession. I felt like I was in a boxing ring and she was winning. I asked for a clean up only. NO shaping (My eyebrows are micro-bladed) and she threaded majority of my brows hair. Who does that?!! My mother went after me and now she has pencil thin eyebrows and they were medium shaped. This is literally the best place for getting your eyebrows threaded. I have been going to Malti since she was threading out of her basement! I am so proud to see how far she's come and my brows always look perfect every time I leave. You are able to walk in and get taken care of and leave within 10 minutes. They are very welcoming and the prices are soooooo reasonable. I recently moved to NYC and will wait until I am back home to get my eyebrows done because I don't trust anyone else! read more
