Way2Go Sports is an amazing program, my Son started out with the Basketball program, and then last fall he was in Flag Football with the Chargers. The owner Randy is a great guy, I love how he says it like it is. My only complaint was the photos from this past fall looked like they were taken by a teenager with an iPhone 12, and the lighting was washed out and they looked like they were printed on an inkjet printer from 2003, but that's okay (also as a semi pro photographer I know you get what you pay for with photos, so that is what it is) But again, awesome high quality program, the Kids love it and they learn a lot about teamwork and sportsmanship which is the most important thing! read more

I've been a volunteer coach for Way2Go Basketball Teams for the last several season and I can honestly say Randy runs a great program. Otherwise I wouldn't even consider volunteering. The league and games are well organized and the Refs go out of their way to instruct if needed. The Basketball Refs are CIF Certified and Staff are great to deal with. Because the gym is small, the crowd noise enhances the game experience which makes it more fun for the kids. Which what we all want. read more

Way2Go! is the premier sports league in the Santa Clarita Valley in my opinion. I've been involved with Way2Go! Sports since 2014 both as a coach and just a parent in the stands with tee-ball, flag football and basketball. I coached 17 seasons of tee-ball with Way2Go (Go Tigers!) and absolutely loved every season, so much so that two of those seasons I didn't even have one of my own kids on the team. One thing I love about Way2Go is that you can keep your team from season to season so I got to keep my players which allowed us to understand each players weaknesses and strengths letting our coaching staff to develop each player at their own pace each season. I've coached in both Hart and Santa Clarita Youth Sports so I know what the other leagues are about. Thanks to Way2Go! our family has made so many amazing memories and new friends. I would never wish my son's experience with Way2go Sports on any child... I registered my son for fall basketball with Way2go Sports and requested our son to be placed with his friend. I was advised that his friend was playing up in an older league and I approved for my son to join him (my son is 8 and the league he was to play in was 9-11yo). I was somewhat concerned for my son to play up since he has little basketball experience but from the description/reviews on the Way2go Sports website he would have fun. Practices started and I was pleasantly surprised the majority of the team was the same age as my son and in the same school grade level (8-9yo/3rd grade) and one older kid maybe 10/11yo. All was going well and I thought the team was balanced well. However, when the games started I quickly realized that all the teams we were to play were all older (9-11yo) with no mix of other younger players also playing up so the games were a tough experience for our team of mostly all 8-9yo boys. But we the parents told the boys to learn what they could and keep their heads up. While I know I agreed for my son to play up, I would have never thought his team would be the ONLY team with kids playing up but we moved forward with the team and practiced more. Never asked for a refund. So here is where things took a turn for the worst. The commissioner Randy Sparage reached out to us for confirmation with payment for our son to play flag football following the current basketball season; we saw this as an opportunity to express that we were unsatisfied with our current experience with basketball and cost per sport around experience vs. value was also a current concern for us as parents. Randy in return sent a few arrogant and condescending emails putting our words in quotes, labeling us disgruntled parents, and then drastically removed our son from his basketball team and issued us a partial refund with no discussion, no phone call, or agreement from us(we never asked for a refund or requested our son to leave). We advised Randy that our son would finish the season and if he was being removed from the team without our request then we wanted a full refund. Randy replied saying Way2go Sports is privately owned so he can do whatever he wants and this was his only offer and that he would notify our coach of our son's forced withdrawal(which our coach apologized for Randy's actions after finding out). Randy took his frustration around our feedback/comments out on our 8yo son and that is just wrong; a boy that Randy never even met in-person that is very polite and kind to others and was very much interested in basketball. Randy should not be a commissioner over any youth sports. A youth commissioner is to find a solution in the best interest of a child, never letting his own ego or a power trip get in the way to damage a child. Yes, it was a tough situation for our younger son to play up that we as parents were supporting him through, but being removed from a team when as a player you did nothing wrong is more devastating than a challenging season. If you care about the well being of your child please look at other options then Way2go Sports under commissioner Randy. I also highly recommend that you read all the Way2go Sports reviews on Yelp, Google, and the Better Business Bureaus (BBB), and not just review the testimonials Randy controls on his own website; you will see a theme in his demeanor per his replies around interactions with the commissioner. I'm posting this with hope that I can save someone else from having the experience that we did. *Post Edit: I am now attaching copies of all our communication with Randy per his garble below for full transparency since he left out all his responses and still has no valid reason for removing our son. If Randy put the effort he does in responding to all his negative reviews into his league families, he wouldn't have to beg others to leave positive comments after each bad review. Randy is the RUDEST person I have ever encountered. He has no clue how to be professional. The people he has as coaches are jokes and we will be disputing the charge we paid for my son to basically attend a meet n greet and ONE practice. We are not newcomers to the world of youth sports as my oldest played tackle football for 3 years. This league is like a backyard league that takes your money. Randy also had some undertones in his responses to me that makes me think he might not be fond of certain people. NEVER NEVER NEVER again will I do business with this so called league and I hope Randy loses his "job" as commissioner because he's not commissioning anything but people's mo FYI notice how Randy gets defensive in his responses to people who have negative reviews...lol if you can't handle customers then get out of the customer service business! Apparently he feels bad for our kids who leave him negative reviews...LOL!!!!!!!! We feel bad for anyone who comes in contact with such a horrible person! Secondly we never requested a refund until you started becoming threatening in your emails, as stated from the start you became defensive instead of trying to work out something. It took about 10 emails before he even offered to "pay" for my son to go to another team which nope we are not doing that. THIRDLY why would we cough up 200 bucks if we didn't want him to play, I told you once and will tell you AGAIN, that's the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I do think something is wrong with you mentally and I want people who are thinking about doin business with you to know that! I suggest if you've had a bad encounter with Randy to please let others know. No business should be run by a person like him! Had he just done things the correct way when my husband initially reached out to him, there'd be no reason to write a negative review. FYI he says to check his company ratings, I truly believe those are from close friends/family. He also told us his enrollment numbers speak for themselves yet we have emails from him where he didn't even know if he would have enough kids to form a full team! Stop the lies Randy because you will get caught! He also has not alerted the coach and his wife (team mom) because we are STILL getting emails about practices and snacks, etc. he can take time to respond with his bs to my review but can't let the coach know we want nothing else to do with this so called league. Funny how that works! Just refer back to Diane's yelp review and you will see what you are up against! I have also noticed that he is trying to get my review removed because I expose who he really is! Keep it coming Randy! I called Randy today to fInd our about league schedules for the spring and his demeanor was so rude. I felt like I was bothering him and he didn't want to give me the time of day. He doesn't even know when the practice schedules are for his group. He is so uninformed and seems more like a middleman than anything. I'd choose a more professional organization. read more

Our son has been with Way2Go Sports for approximately 7 years. He started with flag football and transitioned to basketball. Parents coach the teams. There are experienced referees. And the commissioner, Randy really cares about sports and the kiddos experience. This is not a league for nasty competition with outrageous bullying parents; the goal is to teach kids the game and have them develop. I personally have seen Randy intervene several times to ensure the values of his league are maintained. The league is genuinely welcoming to all genders, ethnicities, skills and economic levels. Everyone gets to play! As an example, we had a little boy on our flag football team (for several seasons) with cerebral palsy. It was heartwarming to watch him and the other children play and support each other. Our son learned more than just football, he learned about inclusion, unselfishness and what it is like to be a member of a team. Way2Go Sports is real gem in this valley. read more

I originally wasn't going to write a review. I was going to chalk it up to miscommunication via email. However, it was the harassment I received after we had already ended our business relationship that encouraged me to write a review. I enrolled my son in January for April Tball. Our communication started to breakdown in February via email over his mass email system, bouncing back my email address. After a few attempts in fixing it and several emails from Randy with angry undertones (All caps and bolded words) I requested a refund. That transaction went well. Several days later I received this email from him "Hello Diane, I just got word that you 'fired me.' I think the proper explanation would be that WAY2GO! SPORTS dropped you." Appalled that he would contact me regardless of whatever he heard after I fired him he has no reason to contact me. I sent him a reply back "Yes you where FIRED!!! If you fired me i wouldn't of had to ask for my money back!! You have a bad attitude and bad customer service. Im glad to hear you're not the one coaching kids. Don't email me again and it should be easy for you to lose my email address! i will be writing a yelp review as well." Of course he had to email again "The correct spelling is "were"...not where... and feel free to do whatever you need to do...My hundreds of testimonials speak volumes over your single complaint.. I just feel for your son...who now has nowhere to play.... But the parents of the boy that was on our waiting list and thus, benefited by your dismissal, are ecstatic that their son will now be able to play Tee Ball this Spring with Way2Go! Sports....I may have them send you a thank you note. This will be my final email to your aol address..as I will now delete it out of our system. So like I said before FIRED!! This has been one of the best leagues by far. My twins and nephew have been playing basketball for 3 seasons now. Randy has always been able to accommodate all three boys on the same team. I am only reviewing the Basketball section of the program. My daughter had a great time the 5 seasons she played in Randy's program. We really as a family enjoyed all seasons here. My oldest son has played basketball for 5 seasons with Way2Go and is currently playing flag football. My youngest son has played for two seasons (basketball and flag football). There are many companies in Santa Clarita that offer these two sports, but I would never consider another league. Way2go always has great coaches and the games are fun and very professional. Randy has always been helpful and accommodating. I always have a ton of questions and he's always been happy to answer them. I put my son in Way2Go Sports for the basketball program three years ago. He has been improving in his game and he's having a lot of fun along the way. Unlike the city of Santa Clarita's league, the rules of basketball are actually enforced and the referees are competent. That makes a huge difference in the quality of the games. The best part is, the kids get to play with their friends because there is no draft like there is with the city. Coaches can make up their own teams. When it comes to kids sports this league does it right ! It's a little bit more expensive but you definitely are getting what you pay for and it's well worth the money! I love the atmosphere in this league the commissioner goes above and beyond to make sure his basketball league is the best. My kids and I love the authentic jerseys with license NBA logos and the music during warm ups was a really great idea. The crowd and other parents are always respectful and into the game, which makes the games as exciting as high school games to watch. A great touch to the league is that during the playoffs all the kids from each playoff team get introduced like a real NBA. The refs in the league are some of the very best I believe. They all ref high school and they really make an emphasis to coach up the younger kids as well as officiating. Hands down the very best thing that I love about my kids being in this league is having the free week to week pictures and videos of my two boys and their team!!! This is so awesome ! I am able to enjoy the game and not have to worry about trying to take pictures! I can leave that up to the photographer. They really high quality photos too. I love being able to share them directly on Facebook form the Way2Go Facebook page and to brag a little bit about my kids. Overall, I'm really happy about my kids being in this league and look forward to many more seasons. read more
