The understaffing issue at the checkout lines is one or two of some ten checkout counters open during the day with usually no bagger, while forcing most customers to use the self check out allowing Kroger to save a few dimes by hiring less people. The self check out line is often manned by someone who is disabled. This brilliant self check out concept has led to rampant theft, which I have witnessed a couple of times. So, Kroger has taken to hiring a burly armed guard near the exit who checks customers' receipts. So, because of this company's extraordinary greed, we have a grocery store that treats all its customers with suspicion. Can this place get any worse? Maybe.

There are sections that have premade Asian meals, fresh seafood, extensive fruits and vegetables, frozen foods, pantry staples, bakery items, almost anything you might want. It's a large market and you could spend hours going up and down the aisles exploring. I was surprised to find they even had a favorite pop that I only thought I could get in Michigan. Now I know that I can go here and get it, without having to have it ordered online. It can get busy on the weekends when everyone is doing their weekly shopping, but I went later in the day and was able to find parking and not bump into people or long lines.

It was a bit far from where we live, but the market was cute and the experience was enjoyable, a little adventure on a nice weekend. We arrived when the indoor cafeteria was close to closing, so we ate first before walking around the market. We had a burger with tater tots and a chicken sandwich, both were good quality. The market is small but offers a good variety of products. I went straight for my goal, the Jeni's Cookies & Cream pint, and also picked up a nice haul of mini pints. It's a great market. We'll definitely visit again if we're in the area or need to restock on ice cream.
