Wayfinder exceeded absolutely every expectation I had, and in a place where hotel prices range from mild (as in you wouldn't really want to stay there) to extravagantly wild, this one hits the sweet spot with a convenient location, extremely wonderful staff, rich amenities, and comfortable accommodations! For starters, the staff is amazing. From the moment I checked in to the moment I left for my redeye, the staff was friendly and so accommodating. I got a full rundown of everything offered with my stay and felt right at home from the start, and as I was departing late, they also happily stashed my bag for the day and allowed me access to the pool and lobby. The rooms are good sized. I stayed in a double room with lanai, and felt it would have been great for two people but also ok for up to a family of four. The lanai itself was small, but still nice to be able to get some fresh air. The room was also equipped with a fridge and two bottles of water to keep you hydrated. The welcome drinks were a really nice touch and I like that they're served in "souvenir" color changing cups. The drink choices were solid too and I enjoyed the lilikoi tequila spritz very much. The pool deck offers complimentary sunscreen and water, and a delightful mint tea. The pool itself is medium sized, with a fun palm tree island in the middle that provides nice shady areas throughout the day and great for leaning and lounging. The lounge chairs butt right up to the edge of the pool in some spots, which is great for slinking into the water or grabbing your drink from the side. but I liked that the depth was shallow almost all the way across. Did I mention their bar, Lost & Found, is right next to the pool? Yep. Solid. The open air lobby had some wonderful furnishings for hanging out. It was partially AC so it never got too hot down there. This is also where you'll find the coffee shop and restaurant. Oh yea. Waikiki Beach and everything you could want from the tourist areas are just 2-3 blocks walk. The hotel provides towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, go pros and more, so all you have to do is show up! All in all, I would def recommend considering this hotel! read more

For the price I don't think Wayfinder can be beat. While not bougie, it's also not expensive for Waikīkī. Def a value hotel. I really liked Wayfinder. The 10th floor room was clean, quiet, the AC worked really well and the bed was comfy. It was nicely designed, a fridge, a big tv. The water pressure was low, but hot water was aplenty. The pool was really well done. Chaise lounges a plenty, however full on a hot afternoon. Bonus: they were handing out complimentary, locally made popsicles on a hot afternoon and that makes everything better. The pool bar had fun drinks and a happy hour. The gym was small but had 2 pelotons and quite a bit of equipment. The on-site restaurant is solid and the coffee shop is cute. They offer some complimentary activities from hula to lei making daily, and a free drink token. The front desk has beach chairs and boogie boards. The hotel is located on the canal for some great running routes. The only downside is that it's a bit further from the beach. Still very much walking distance, but it's smack dab in the middle of Waikīkī making it congested once you walk a block from the hotel. Some solid food spots nearby. Staying here for work & was assigned a room with no desk or table that could be used as a desk - only a short nightstand. Immediately called to try to find a room with a desk, and was told that a tiny board attached to the wall could be used as a table. Every single photo of their rooms posted online has a proper desk or table in the room. They were incredibly unhelpful. Would not get a desk to bring to the room, would not move me to a room with a table. No solutions. Was told they were too busy to offer any kind of service recovery. The amenities in the photographs are also not present in the room. There are no surfaces at all for unpacking luggage aside from the bed. The closet is too short to hang pants or a dress without them falling on the floor. Certainly will not book here again. read more

The staff is always really nice and the rooms are always very clean. The views are classic Waikiki and we just love the old school island vibes here. When it cools down at night, there's a great cross breeze! The bellhop got all our hella heavy luggage up here very quick and he was a really nice guy! Housekeeping had the room so clean and the ac on for us! Will book again for next June- next time we're trying the penthouse room, our goals to do a week in each room type that holds 4 lol. read more

Stayed at the Wayfinder for a couple of nights for our minimoon (plus I wanted to use up my credit for CSR). Staff were really cute and decorated our room and left snacks/wine for us! Our room was a bit noisy as it faced the street, but I guess they must have known as they left earplugs for us. The pool was also always very busy and sometimes there weren't even any pool chairs. It's a cute hotel but definitely not luxury by my standards. More like an affordable beachy getaway kind of vibe. Would come back if we're looking for a deal, but not if we're looking for peace and quiet. read more

Recently stayed at Wayfinder Waikiki for a work tip, and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised all around. The experience from check-in to check-out was nothing short of amazing. From HNL airport, it was about a 25-minute ride, which went by fast. I arrived shortly after noon time, and luckily my room was already available which was a pleasant surprise. The room itself was well maintained and had plenty of lighting both from the fixtures and the natural light that came through the sliding doors. Although my sliding door was stuck and wouldn't open, it was all good because it kept the AC running and the room cool. The bathroom is quite small, but at least the shower had good water pressure. The standard room was great for a solo traveler, and would do well for 2ppl tops IMO. While it was a short trip, I didn't get to get in the pool but the poolside bar was great. Upon arrival we were treated to a couple complimentary drink tokens which we could use at the resort. The gym was small but did what it needed to do. Luckily I went in around 5am so there wasn't a ton of people, but it can probably hold 5ppl in there comfortably at a time. The staff I got to interact with was great all around. Very kind, and very attentive whenever something was needed. From a location standpoint, it's off the main-strip of Waikiki, which is great because it wasn't as busy and loud. The main strip is just a 5 minute walk down the block which was easy to get to. There's an ABC store just a block down and a target about a 5 minute walk away so if you need essentials, it's conveniently close by! read more

When I booked Wayfinder through founders card I was a little apprehensive. Little did I know, this hotel is a perfect hidden gem. I would say everything is perfect except for a couple things. Check in is easy. Valet parking is $50 a day with unlimited access. Depending on the time of day, front desk is hit or miss. Our second day I asked if there were small coolers to rent like the Igloo one they have displayed on the shelf. The gal on the morning on 2/27/26 was very unpleasant. She wouldn't look up or away from her monitor to answer questions to give me 2 minutes of her time. I was bothering her. We have the pool room which is very nice and spacious. Theres no elevator but the second floor was easy to access for us. There's a cute screen door that allows the outside breeze to come in as well. We also had a pull out couch, microwave, fridge with plates and utensils. The furnishings are simple but feel clean and neatly appointed. Couple suggestions I would make is a full length mirror somewhere in the room and a couple more outlets for power. Otherwise the room Is perfect. Now what I didn't enjoy is the small children using the jacuzzi the past couple days. Some of these children were left alone with floaties in the jacuzzi. Now I get the pool isn't as warm but 5-6 small children with swim diapers in the jacuzzi left unattended is not acceptable. Not sure if the hotel can control this. I'm still giving 4 stars because the property is very nice and not what I expected at all compared to a major chain hotel. read more

Loved this hotel! Check in was super smooth and easy. We didn't have a car so didn't have to worry about parking (I believe the valet parking is a whopping $55). The hotel is beautifully designed with an open, airy, and breezy feel throughout. There's a coffee shop and restaurant on the main floor as you walk in. The pool is right behind and easily accessible. It's a good sized pool and there's also a hot tub/jacuzzi pool on the side that's nice to chill by in the evenings. Every day there is some activity by the pool - yoga, hula hoop dancing etc, that you can sign up for. The on-site restaurant, Redfish, has some excellent food options and is a lovely place to sit and unwind. The hotel's location is another highlight - it's not in an overly touristy area, yet still close to the beach and major attractions. Our room overlooked the canal and had a small balcony, which I absolutely loved. If you're checking out early and need to have baggage held they offer this at the reception area. I read a bunch of reviews that mentioned long wait times with the elevator - we were there for a couple of days in January and this was never an issue we encountered. It's clear a lot of care went into the decor and overall aesthetic. It doesn't feel like a typical commercial hotel with generic furniture and artwork. I'd absolutely recommend this place if you're looking for a unique, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed stay. read more

Overall had a great stay at Wayfinder Waikiki! Check-in was super smooth, and the staff throughout our stay was great! They offer valet parking only which was $55 / night at the time of our stay. If you want to try to avoid paying for parking, there is street parking on Ala Wai Blvd which is adjacent to the hotel, so the walk is not far at all. This is a very busy street though and parking can be hard to find, so I would only try to do this if you're willing to be patient and think it's worth trying to find free parking. Also be aware of the street sweeping schedule! The hotel has a small cafe that serves coffee, tea and pastries during the day and a restaurant, Redfish, which has breakfast/brunch and dinner services. They're both very convenient. They also have a pool with a jacuzzi, and a pool-side bar. We had a welcome drink at check-in so we were able to try one of their drinks and have a keepsake cup from the trip! The room itself was quite nice - it felt clean and overall well-maintained. I believe these rooms were renovated recently, so that could be why. The only slight downside is the noise from outside does come through the windows pretty easily - if you're a light sleeper that might be a bit bothersome. The other issue that we experienced during our stay was related to the elevators. There was only one working elevator and it was extremely slow. At some point we just started taking the stairs exclusively because waiting for the elevator was rather frustrating. I also appreciated that they offered different amenities for rental! We were able to rent out beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, and a GoPro during our stay! The GoPro was great to use, but of course you will need to transfer your footage and clear out the memory card before you return it, so if you plan on using this, bring a device for transferring footage! Location-wise, the hotel is just down the street from Waikiki Beach, so it's a very close walk! This made it super convenient to get to all the shops and food spots in the area! read more

HIGHLY recommend staying here!! Wayfinder has so much to offer that I wasn't even expecting! Great location, very short walk to the beach and near all the restaurants, shopping and grocery store. We didn't rent a car and did not find it necessary because we were so close to everything. If you want to go on a hike anywhere then you'll have to uber or rent a car. Their food and cocktails are really yummy, definitely worth the prices. Their happy hour food and drinks are a great deal too! They have amazing customer service, from management to bartenders and servers to the poolside service. Their prices are so worth it with all the ammenities you get! You get a welcome drink, breakfast voucher, some snacks in your room, free boogie board and towel rentals, various free classes and activities everyday, they have sunscreen and aloe for everyone to use at the pool, they will randomly walk around and hand out popsicles at the pool too! On Fridays they have a pool party with a DJ. They have a bunch of pool floats in the pool, one of the employees has her jewelry making stand there and she sells very affordable, adorable jewelry, and they also walk around and hand out snacks for free during the pool party! Everything was very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The pool was never overly crowded which was so nice; we never had a hard time finding a chair. We really enjoyed our stay and will 100% be staying here anytime I return to the Waikiki area. read more

Loved our recent stay at the Wayfinder Waikīkī! We were looking for a hotel in Waikiki near the beach - one that wouldn't break the budget, but was also safe & clean. Honestly, we weren't expecting much when we first booked this hotel because there had been some reviews about construction noise, and the photos of the room decor looked like it would either be a cute tropical vibe or possibly tacky. So glad it turned out to be the former! The exterior of the hotel seemed unassuming from the road, but the open lobby area (cozy seating, warm lighting, wood ceiling, stone accents) and entering our room made such a great first impression. While there was some nearby construction, we didn't notice much (if any) noise during the early morning or evening. In fact, it seemed quieter than the hotels on the main roads (Ala Moana Blvd). Our stay included a free welcome drink (alcoholic & non-alcoholic options) from the poolside bar, a small discount for a meal at the hotel's restaurant (which by the way, has fantastic poké!), and complimentary GoPro camera, beach chair, & boogie board rentals. While the saltwater pool is on the smaller side, there was a decent amount of poolside loungers and tables, and it's big enough to get a few laps in. I wish I could have stayed a bit longer to enjoy the pool & room more! Would happily return upon my next visit to Waikiki. read more

I have mixed feelings about the Wayfinder. First the good. Location is good, near a lot of stores, markets, etc. Great valet and servers at the restaurants. Cute pool area that makes you feel like you're in a little oasis. We booked through Chase which gave us lots of perks including free daily breakfast which were great, welcome drinks, and room upgrade. However, the not so great.. The front desk staff is very hit or miss. Overall, they seem aloof and rude. Also, when you call the front desk, you usually get sent to voicemail which is weird for a hotel to do. Usually, at most places, they'd put you on hold until someone is going to take your call. After leaving a voicemail a few times, I've never received calls back which is very frustrating. Secondly, the rooms are very small and cramped. We opted to upgrade a couple nights to a poolside room which were much better. Also, one of the perks were early check in and late checkout till 4 pm through Chase. The two times we've stayed there, they didn't allow early check in and only allowed us to stay till noon which is ridiculous. I think they do this to everyone as they don't have enough staff. Overall, I don't think I'd stay here again due to the low quality of service for the amount you pay, the staff not calling you back after leaving voicemails. It feels more like a motel. Nice hotel, but a bit off the main drag downtown and the rooms are small. We squeezed 3 people in the room and it was tight. On the bright side, they have free GoPro rentals for the day and workout classes. We took a morning stretching class and it was great! I enjoyed my recent staycation here at the Wayfinder! My man had booked us a staycation for NYE/New years and what better way to ring in a new year than a hotel stay?! The hotel was pleasantly nice and had quite the aesthetic. It had scenic views and I liked that the Wayfinder was conveniently located on a busy street. And in a good area of Waikiki considering Waikiki can be difficult to navigate due to the never ending chaos 24/7. We honestly didn't expect much since there were mixed reviews of this place when we had originally looked for hotels in the past. But overall I am happy we took the chance and stayed here. Our stay consisted of bottled water and candy waiting for us as we arrived to the room. Along with complimentary tokens to redeem (alcoholic or non alcoholic beverages), which I thought was very generous and cool of the hotel to offer and we redeemed right after our night swim at their pool! They also gave a 15% off discount for RedFish Poke Bar since it's located in the lobby of the hotel! Many other amenities & services were included in the stay along with gym access & other special perks for us guests. And we had a great view of the city from our room, as well as having a nice cozy cute room. I also thought it was a nice touch for them to include robes in our closet which we ended up using to watch the fireworks at midnight. Their pool was huge (in my opinion), which I appreciated since it was spacious and people like me who don't like to be around many people , I could be in my own space. My man and I were fortunate since the time we swam was in the early evening so thanks to our luck we were really the only ones in the pool. Also , may i add in , I'm glad that the pool is salt water. As a girl who has sensitive skin , salt water is way gentler and calmer on the skin than chlorine. Since many pools tend to have chlorine in it. We didn't get to use the hot tub since there were many people in it , but I'm sure it was lovely. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. When we didn't know where the ice maker machine was , the kind worker at the front desk offered to fill our container up right there for us. And she also directed us to the machine , I think it's nice they put the ice maker in a good spot on the floor where it's accessible to all us guests. Also to add in , my only downsides from the stay were that the bathroom was a bit small and there was a time we needed to reach housekeeping but nobody answered ( but I understand it was a busy holiday season , so I assume it may have been difficult to get ahold of someone due to that fact ) . Overall I enjoyed my stay and as a local , it's always nice to get out of routine to play 'tourist' and enjoy a good staycation with a loved one! 10/10 for me , I'd definitely return in the future! read more

Pro: - cute design - good location - 15% off Red Fish restaurant, 1 free welcome drink at the Pool side bar - spacious enough. I read so many reviews saying the room is small. People need to remember this is a boutique hotel. Go get a room in traditional full-service hotels like Sheraton, Hyatt, Hilton if you want an "American standard" room size. - check-in is quick and staff is friendly Cons: - only 1 elevator works. Average wait-time is 5+ minutes, not including peak hours. - they give you earplugs for free for a reason. The noise level is super high here and soundproof doesn't exist. Hallway noise, footstep noise, nextdoor guest's noise, car honking and traffic noise, car blasting music noise, all kind of noise you can get. - AC maintenance at night??!! They left a note that an AC towel is clean from 10PM to 6AM Thursday night through Friday morning, requesting guests not to turn the AC on since there's no cold air flowing out. They should have sent the notification out when confirming the booking just so guests can plan this in advance. - sticky floor. They need to do better on the cleaning. - super soft bed. My lower back screamed for help after one night because the bed was super soft and sunk down to the frame - no lock on the balcony door - trash smell all over the hallway at 8AM when the trash trucks go around to collect. read more

Such a cute experience for NYE! Great view for the city fireworks. Valeting my car was easy, check in was a breeze and I booked a Corner Premium View Kind Bed with Lanai (kamaaina price) on the 13th floor. I appreciated the 2 freed drink tokens for the pool area, but unfortunately I didn't get to visit the pool because I did a yoga class at the beach and then some shopping on the strip before the fireworks. I used the 15% off coupon for the Redfish restaurant, the food was amazing and I ordered more to go. The hotel room was so cute and cozy. I wish there was a thicker or cozy throw blanket for the evening, just my personal preference. The soap and hand lotion smelled amazing. Would have loved to see more local art on the walls in the hallways and in the room. Lanai was easy to access and very clean, the sliding doors to both lanai doors could maybe use some WD-40 and new sealing around edges to help keep out noise. The streets can be noisy at night but I appreciate the earplugs that were provide. I played white noise and slept just fine. I was a little bummed about the options for sale at the cafe downstairs. I bought a super cute shirt but definitely wanted some stickers and other small things... they seemed to be sold out of a lot. I went back twice to look and everything was picked over and a little unkept. Overall a 10/10 from me. I live here and will come back again soon with friends. read more

Needed to stay here for 6 days and 5 nights because we are doing some renos at our place. We have an elderly dog that can't walk long distances so need to be close to grass for her to pee. This was great and even better than I expected! It was easy to book on their website and with kamaaina rates is very reasonable! It's pet friendly - $35/night and $49/night valet parking. Kamaaina is half off valet. I like that it has the parking in the building underneath so close by and all the valet guys are nice and friendly! There is a simple open lobby area where you pull up to the entrance and you can just chill whenever. Redfish restaurant, B-side cafe are right out front as well and pool and gym is a little in the back of redfish. Seems like all the employees are friendly and cool with each other which is nice, it's not all separate. When you check in, they give you a 15% coupon to redfish and a free drink token to any of the three places including the pool I guess they have fancy drinks too. Wifi, small mini fridge/cooler - don't expect it to be like a regular fridge but tip put 2-3 small ziplock baggies full of ice and that should keep some stuff like drinks cold. They also said housekeeping comes every 3 days but you can call and request to come whenever to change bedding and I think they come daily to change towels and trash. I called couple times needing help with the tv channels or lights and the front desk and maintenance/housekeeping were helpful and quick to attend to us and I wasn't waiting a long time! The shower and room were pretty clean and I like the lighting where you can dim it. In the shower it's a little dark because the curtains but I wish they put some non slip mat as it got a little slippery so be careful. One thing to note - the beds were a little too soft like it sank in the back area. Wish housekeeping mopped or used the wet sweeper first as some parts of the floor were sticky - bring some house slippers or just wear your regular ones inside. They have ice machine on 8th and 6th floors I believe. I really felt comfortable at this hotel and will def be back if need a place to stay and recommend to others esp locals. read more

We were doing a home exchange on the north shore but wanted a couple nights in Waikiki to experience something different and the Wayfinder was the perfect place for us. It was just a few minutes to walk to the beach and they provided boogie boards, chairs and towels. Because it was so close to the beach, we spent the days alternating between the hotel and the beach. The pool and hot tub at the hotel were amazing, very clean, big and just a comfortable place to hang out with a cool poolside bar. We have a teenage boy and he wanted to work out and the gym had everything he needed. The hotel is beautiful and open and airy. The restaurant was terrific too. Very sweet servers and quality food. We loved our first visit so much that we booked another night halfway through our north shore stay. The Wayfinder gives you the excitement of the city but a beautiful respite when you need a break. It was very clean and customer service was terrific. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. We definitely plan to return! read more

The property was very nice. We received an accessibility room on the fourth floor. We don't require an accessible room, however, I quite enjoyed the extra bars in the shower to hold on to in case of slippage. I did notice the shower had a moisturizer instead of a conditioner bottle which seemed strange to have in the shower. Otherwise, I was just missing a kettle and the room would have been perfect. The earplugs came in handy to sleep as the glass was single pane. We received a welcome token each for a free Pina colada or beer at the poolside bar. The pool itself has lots of loungers but they do fill up quick in the sunny afternoons. All the staff were very kind and made our stay the best! The food on site was fantastic. We received a 15% off coupon to try out the restaurant. Stayed here for 3 nights in January. We got a corner room facing the golf course and Ala Wait Blvd. The road was very noisy as the hotel doesn't have double paned windows. Thankful for the end corner room as we didn't hear much from the hallway or adjacent doors banging. Pros: -Convenient location to Waikiki downtown without being in downtown. -Great Central location to be in. -Pool and gym available onsite. Some stretch and HIT classes available in the morning. -Beach towels, chairs, and boogey boards can be borrowed daily. -Fridge available in the room. Microwave can be requested. Cons: -Unfriendly staff. No one except for the valet service greeted us as we entered or left the hotel. -Hours for the poolside bar were incorrect, they close early and opened late. -Complimentary drink options: draft beer or Pina colada. I miss Hawaii. We stayed here, at the Wayfinder, for 4nights. Upon arrival, I thought the hotel looked super cute! I love tropical vibes (just not the tropical weather all the time lol)! The exterior, the waiting area, the cafe, and the restaurant are the first bit you see as you arrive. The pool/bar are just around the corner/behind the restaurant. Elevators are conveniently front and center as well-- right after we checked in (super friendly host(s), we went straight up to the room to relax a bit after a long travel day. We got a corner, balcony room w/ a King sized bed. Perfect spot, onlooking the city/canal, the mountains/hills, and the blue skies-- also, the cars in traffic but it never bothered us, we barely heard it. The room isn't the biggest but still a decent size for just us two... we didn't care. The room is only meant for sleep-- we never plan on being in the room too much (though we did take one too many naps during our trip), but our bed was super comfy, so that's a plus. Bathroom was a decent size, decorated nicely. I love that they had a full body mirror available in the room as well... us girls need to see the full outfit before heading out. There's a TV, a fridge, complimentary waters, and we also received 2 tokens for 2 free drinks at the pool bar from the front desk. There's a cute little table to sit at inside the room, and a cute seating area out on the balcony as well. I mean, what's there to complain about? Well, just one thing... cleanliness. That was my only no-no, which is a pretty big thing actually. I don't like to wear shoes if I don't have to and when I first walked barefoot on the room floor... all I felt was dirt and crumbs of whatever was on the ground. After that-- my sandals were always on deck. I would hope this isn't their standard cleanliness? Other than that, everything about the room was great. We loved the restaurant, Redfish. I've already written a review on that, as well as their pool bar, Lost & Found. We frequented each a good amount of times during our stay. I did not get a chance to try their Cafe though I realllly wanted to. Shameful, I know. This hotel is just a walk away from the beach/ocean... from the mall, markets, a variety of places to eat and shop at, and a short walk away from my favorite little spot of the trip-- the Musubi Cafe! It's about a 40-1hr+ car trip everywhere else though... such as Pearl Harbor, the Kualoa Ranch, etc... depending on time of day. Not too bad though. It's not fancy, but it was perfect for us. I had a really nice stay at Wayfinder Waikiki! As an amex platinum cardholder, I booked my stay through the Amex travel portal. They accommodated an early check in (a life saver after having just landed that morning from Japan!) though there were no upgradable rooms available. They asked me to check back each day, which I did - no luck. Oh well, not a big deal. First, the lobby had a very tropical, airy vibe to it. Think open windows with palm trees swaying in the distance. The B-Side Coffee Bar was a really nice touch, where they crafted some seriously delicious coffee drinks. Don't sleep on their coconut golden milk latte! The pool was a nice little oasis, away from the chaos that is Waikiki Beach. The sunscreen, aloe, and random ice treats were a really nice touch. Note that the outdoor chaise chairs do fill up quickly, so be sure to get there earlier in the day if you want a prime spot. Finally, we liked our room. It was a bit small but had everything we needed. Super comfy bed. Nice touches that felt like it was a proper Hawaiian hotel. The Grown Alchemist products in the shower were a nice touch. Loved eating and drinking on the Lanai (balcony) with a proper mountain view. Some things that could be improved: Stronger fridge (ours barely kept our food cold, so much so that we ended up throwing some food away) and a replacement of the ice machine. Granted we were right outside of it, but the squealing of the plastic nozzle each time ice was dispensed was unbearable, especially in the morning. Also, some of the servers we had were nice but very forgetful. Overall, I think this is a solid value for what it is. I would stay here again. read more

The Wayfinder Hotel was in the heart of Honolulu, without feeling like it was in the center of the chaos. We loved the vintage flair and the convenience of having a coffee shop, restaurant, and a bar right on premises - though there is an endless supply of places to go nearby (including Waikiki Beach which is a few blocks away). We are city people so the noise didn't bother us as much (plus we stayed on floor 11) but it might be more of a nuisance to others. On a final note - the staff here were exceptional, from the front desk, the valets, and the bartenders / kitchen / wait staff. We found the drink menu on the sweeter side for our palettes, and Jason (incredible bartender at Lost and Found) made some amazing curated selections tailored to our tastes. He did a riff on a gimlet that should absolutely be on the menu. read more

It's a nice hotel in Waikiki and although not huge like the big name hotels, I had a great time. The rooms were not enormous but the right size for our needs. The first night was a bit rough as I had a lanai room by the lake and I could hear every car noise passing despite having ear plugs. The staff was kind enough to move us to a similar room by the pool and the noise was less obvious and I had better nights sleep once we got moved. Loved the pool, jacuzzi and the activities offered by the hotel. I stayed in that area as it was conveniently located close to the main activities for the city that I had planned out. read more

I think out of all the hotels, I would choose Wayfinder over & over again. It's a lively hotel, I think if you're looking for something quieter, you could try an adults only hotel, but I personally liked how social the hotel felt. Yes, there's kids running around, but the adults were also running around. When we arrived, they forgot to give us a drink ticket, someone at the Lost & Found Bar told us they got drink tickets, and we were like, "Hey we didn't get one." So if you arrive late 7PM, maybe you can make it to the bar prior to 8:30PM with a drink ticket. If you're staying at the hotel, you also get a discount coupon for the restaurant. The restaurant is beautiful with the birds flying in & out, there's a coffee bar that opens in the mornings (best coffee ever), and the pool has the Lost & Found bar that's open until 8:30PM. There's an ABC Store on the way to Waikiki beach where we continuously stopped at during our stay. The beach is only 7 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Now, this is what stood out to me, there are certain days (event dates) at the pool, where they do things for the people staying here, one day they were offering popsicles. I was walking in & I got a popcicle, I ate it then I jumped in the pool. She came around and asked if I wanted another one. Sometimes they would have free tea available at the pool as well. Those little things really stood out to me. Last but not least, it felt like everyone really wanted to socialize & chat. The only downside I will say is if you're getting a double bed Lanai room, don't expect the space to feel big, it will feel tight. But tbh, we weren't in the room that often anyways, just to sleep. Before arriving we got an email if we wanted to upgrade to a pool side suite, knowing what I know now, I would have definitely upgraded. But other than that, the hotel was great. A piece of advice, don't rent a car. It's easier to use the Hui Car Share app, it has pick up locations for the car that are walking distance, and you return it to its assigned parking space when you're done. read more

I really enjoyed my stay here with my wife while vacationing. Check in was very smooth and fast. Room was very updated and clean. We had a corner room with a lanai overlooking a busy street to enjoy a coffee and people watch in great weather. Noise from other rooms were nonexistent so we got good night sleep every night, and so will our neighbors. Valet here is pretty quick when you request vehicle and they are friendly. When we are on the island again hopefully we stay here again as I will recommend to friends and fellow Yelpers. read more

Stayed here for 3 nights over the holidays. Checked in really late, after 10pm and was happy there were folks at the front desk to greet us. Nick the GM is awesome! He really made my fiancé and I feel like we were back in town visiting old friends. Prob b/c were all from the Northeast, we just vibed! After not being in Oahu for a few years he caught us up on the local grindz (lol) and really just became the friendly familiar face around the hotel. Loved all of the social hours and events they have going on here as well. The hotel restaurant Redfish was fireee! Short walk to the beach, right by all the restaurants, target etc. great walking area. 10/10 would stay here again. Bigger pool than I expected too and a really tasty piña colada welcome drink. read more

We found the Wayfinder Waikiki through Costco Travel while planning a last-minute trip to Honolulu. This hotel was truly a hidden gem and we had a wonderful time. The hotel is situated two blocks off the beach in the southernmost part of Waikiki, not far from Diamondhead. It's an easy walk to the beach, parks, shops, etc. The hotel boasts a wonderful pool and lounge area, a great poolside bar and a very good poke restaurant (Red Fish). Unfortunately, the coffee shop was overpriced, had terrible service and was not close to the calibre of the restaurant and poolside bar (even though it's the same management company. Skip the coffee shop and get your coffee from the ABC Store a hundred yards down the street). The staff were super friendly and helpful. The general manager, Jim was very hospitable and gave us some excellent suggested activities while we were there. While the rooms are small and the bathrooms tiny, they get the job done and are nicely appointed. Our view was to the north and east overlooking the canal and park area. This is actually a better view than the view facing the ocean because tall buildings obscure any view of the beach. The rooms are appointed with a nice patio, big enough for two chairs and a small table. Also, the rooms have plenty of storage and lots of hooks to hang up your wet bathing suits, etc. The rooms are also equipped with a good size flatscreen TV and a little refrigerator. Overall, for the price, this was an EXCELLENT stay at a wonderful boutique hotel. If we were not able to get a decent rate on a beachfront hotel, we would not hesitate to stay at the Wayfinder Waikiki again and again. read more

Really enjoying our time here- leaving tomorrow. The price was very reasonable and it is centrally located. The rooms have a cute retro design and the pool and bar area are nice. Staff were super attentive and responded quickly to texts, including our request for a microwave in room. We enjoyed having a pool and spa. Only downsides were no free coffee in lobby and no self parking available. Plan for that to add another $40-$70 per day depending on how many are in your party. read more

We stayed here for 4 days and 5 nights in January. It was a good price point and looked great in photos! I have a few feelings about it so it'll easier to give pros and cons. Pros: - Close to Waikīkī Beach, convenience stores, International Marketplace, restaurants - Restaurant and coffee bar downstairs - Regular bar by the pool and in the restaurant - Upgraded rooms - Fun activities poolside - Towels for the beach - Decently priced Cons: - Valet parking is pricey which is why we didn't rent a car - Can get noisy (they know this because they gave us ear plugs) - Rooms only have a single lock (we're used to hotels having at least a swing bar lock in addition to a deadbolt) - Paid extra for a lanai just to have a view of apartments next to us (nothing photo worthy) - Small lobby area, can't really sit and hang out I have a few things to say about the staff. A lot of Yelpers have commented on some of them being rude/ignoring them. I've found some staff were really helpful and nice. Our bartender was really nice in Lost+Found and when we checked in the staff was nice. For the most part we were greeted when we left and came especially valet staff since they're always there. There was one staff member who I noticed was always talking to her coworkers. When anyone would come up and ask her a question she made it seem like they were inconveniencing her by interrupting the conversation. So service can be hit/miss, but honestly this is can happen anywhere. read more

We stayed in the penthouse suite for 2 nights. Beautiful room, but the building is super old, and you could hear the elevator constantly making tons of noise every time it was used. It sounded like constant construction noise. It gave me a ton of anxiety and we didn't get much rest for the two nights we were there due to the loud noise. They have a smaller lagoon style pool, and do provide complimentary snacks, cocktails and wine upon arrival. But something seriously needs to be done about that noise! We mentioned it to the hotel property and no one ever came up to check on it. read more

I will never stay here again or anything associated with this hotel. We had bed bugs. Notified staff. The manager had no idea I heard him complain about, "who even check under the sheet at the mattress, it's not like you are sleeping on top of it". They said they would call us. Never did, they only sent the maid to our room when we were gone, when we said we would be waiting at 8:30 the next morning. They over charged us on the valet, it was like pulling teeth to get something done. We had cockroaches in the room. Overall very unpleasant stay. We had capital one venture credits that they used to "credit" themselves when they over charged me for parking. We asked for the complimentary upgrade you get with the capital one venture x, and they wanted me to pay extra between (32-180) more per night for an upgrade. The price wasn't worth it. Do not used this with your venture card if it suggests "premier collection". Don't even get me started on their dinner. I had the hardest burger patty of my life. Might as well ate a hockey puck. Go elsewhere please. read more
