I was referred to Dr. Wayne Cissell by a couple of friends, and this was actually my first time ever seeing a chiropractor. I'd been dealing with severe back pain and figured it was time to see if a chiro could help. I was able to book a same-day appointment, which was a huge plus. When I met with Dr. Cissell, I gave him the rundown of my back issues: severe arthritis, no disc at L4/L5 or S1, and an ongoing issue my physical therapist couldn't figure out -- my hips were out of alignment, possibly due to one leg being longer than the other. He listened carefully, got me on the table, and immediately saw that my right leg was about three inches shorter than my left. Sure enough, the misalignment in my hips was the cause. As he examined me further, he noticed some issues in my neck and spine, which he said he'd address. After the treatment, he told me to stand up and try to make my back hurt. And wow -- other than a little muscle soreness from everything finally being where it should be, my back and neck felt incredible. I regained full mobility in my neck (I hadn't even realized how limited it had been), my back felt amazing, I wasn't walking lopsided anymore, and even my golf game improved. Plus, I had way more energy to work out now that I wasn't constantly in pain. One more thing that really impressed me: my appointment was at 2:15. I showed up at 2:17, filled out the new patient paperwork, had my treatment, and was back in my car by 2:40. Efficient, effective, and no B.S. This dude is a miracle worker. I called on a Saturday, most places were too busy to take me. Wayne picked up the phone directly and told me he could see me in an hour. I got there with little hope as I thought I tore a ligament or injured my knee. He let me know the pain in my knee is probably due to my pelvic bone being crooked. He straightened out my sanctum (I think that's what it's called) other doctors told me in the past it would take years. He did it in 10 minutes. My kneee was feeling better. It was unbelievable to me that Dr. Wayne answered the phone on a Saturday afternoon, and we can't thank him enough for his help. Even though he is out of town, he still answered my call. My husband could not get out of bed this morning, which is very scary. Dr. Wayne asked him questions over the phone and based on the location and type of pain, he suspected his hip is misaligned. We tried the pigeon stretch and put pressure with my elbow like he suggested and it did provide some relief. I believe I went to Dr. Wayne the last week of 2/2014, I had been in pain for at least a month, on and off, some dull pain, some intense couldn't get into bed comfortably or out and that sucks. I was referred to Dr. Wayne by the gal that owns a business next to my Salon, I was trying to get her to massage my back, haha, she was having none of that. She said oh you have to go to my guy he is fabulous and I'm sure everyone thinks their Doc is the best. I was thinking well it's not going to hurt to give him a try, especially since his office was about 5 minutes from me and you can just walk in and get treated. I used to go to different Chiropractors thru out my adult life for Migraine headaches and that would be the only way they would go away. I got there signed in barely set down when the gal took me down to a treatment room, Dr. Wayne came in asked me a few pertinent questions and got right to work. He seemed to know exactly what he was doing. He told me I had a rib out of place in my back. I have had front ribs cracked before and they can't do anything for that, I will tell you that you can barely pull yourself up out of bed not fun. He continued up my back and actually it was my neck that was totally out of whack. He said that is where the problem probably started. He also asked me if I was lifting anything heavy, I told him I always do. I felt instant relief when I left I was so happy I should have went sooner. Two days after my Adjustment I was at my Salon lifting a five gallon bottle if water I felt my rib pop out again, I was bummed. I thought I would let everything calm down and if I didn't hurt I wouldn't go back. Well, of course I suffered through the weekend and got it fixed again. He is a miracle worker and doesn't waste time BS'n about the weather or whatever. I have been referring Dr. Wayne to all of my friends and family and they love him as well. I usually don't write any reviews, but I had to give credit where credit is due. I would highly recommend him. I've been adjusted many times by other chiropractors but I needed an appointment short notice after a car accident the following day. I happened to come across Dr. Cissel here on Yelp. He had me bring everyone involved in that very same afternoon, on a Saturday. He was incredibly nice, concerned and descriptive with my 11 yr old daughter when he adjusted her, since she had never been adjusted. He was just as kind and descriptive with me and the older kids we had with us. He was amazingly patient. He even texted me later that afternoon to check in on how everyone was doing. Dr Wayne Cissel has it all. The long hours to fit into our schedule and the experience to ask the right question and listen to the answers. On vacation my wife and I walked in with less than 30 minutes to go before closing. He applied the right treatment and equipment to examine and treat my wife's "worst migraine headache ever" then adjusted my worst lumbar, thoracic and cervical stiffness, pain and loss of sleep vertebrae in years. We were pain free and much more mobile than when we came in. And this was done quicker than we could fill in the simple paperwork on how to contact us and the history of the pains. Dr. Wayne is an exceptional chiropractor. He is very knowledgable about health and had a lot of suggestions to help improve my day to day living. I suffer from vertigo and have seen 8 different medical doctors and have had various tests done to try and figure out why I randomly suffer from vertigo. After doing my own research, I discovered that chiropractic is known to help alleviate it and possibly cure it. After getting X-rays of my spine done, Dr. Wayne came up with a plan for me and I have since been free of vertigo for awhile. I would highly recommend him and his practice.
