If a certified Ford auto shop cannot figure out how to fix their own cars, that is a huge problem. Needless to say, if and when I do get my car back from them, I will not be returning, and I will certainly not recommend Route 23 Automall Quicklane to anybody. If I could rate them a zero, I would. Back in 2018 I went looking to purchase a Mustang GT, they are local to me and I wanted to build a relationship since this was the first Ford I was buying. The sales staff was disappointing to say the least and I eventually purchased the car from a dealer a lot further away...oh well. The car has been super fun when driven but spends most of it's time as a garage queen (currently has 9k miles on it). This year when taken out to drive on the first nice day I noticed a "clicking" sound when turning the steering wheel. I did my online research and thought maybe the strut top bearings? I made an appointment with Route 23 Auto Mall on a Monday for the following Monday explaining the situation. I took off work and made arrangements to drop the car off. On Saturday at 2:20pm I got a text saying my appointment for Monday was cancelled (no reason given). I saw the text it at 3:05 (dealership closed at 3) and was not able to call and find out why. Since I had taken off work, I thought to bring it there at 7:30am (original appointment time) and see if they could just listen to the "clicking" and possibly make another appointment to address it if a known issue. After a lengthy explanation of my appointment, cancellation and reason for being there (they had no record of me and wouldn't give me any consideration until I showed them the texts I got). I was directed to Vinny. Vinny told me to leave the car and I would be charged a diagnostic fee for looking at it and then the cost of repairs. I shared that the car had 9k miles on it and I would think Ford would make good on any part that failed prematurely. Vinny had no time nor consideration for me at all and bluntly asked if I was leaving it or not. I immediately left with the worst experience behind me. I was turned off by the sales team and now by the service team. I will NEVER recommend this dealership for anything and in fact put in effort to make sure none of my friends or associates visits this dealership in the future. To be honest i rate a business on how well they do after a mishap (especially as a business owner). I had one bad incident and the service department went above and beyond to fix the issue. Owning a fleet of fords I've purchased from a few dealers. The best purchase was from rt 23 automall looking back. The price time saved and the honesty is impeccable. Biggest praise to Patti in the service department she always has your best interest at heart, she goes above and beyond is super helpful and her attitude and work ethic is contagious. She cares and has a calming and upbeat personality if that makes sense. I'd hire her in a second. And she def is the one that keeps the customers coming back. At least this one. She's proven that she can take care of her customers but most importantly she's honest if she can't squeeze you in because of the schedule she doesn't which is the most important trait in my book. All I want is honesty makes my life and others lives that much easier. Dropped off one of my salt trucks to have a harness for the back up camera replaced she made sure to get it back before the snow came. They have really risen to the occasion and prove they are the leader when it comes to Ford sales and service. Thank you again for all your help Patti. I went in to buy out my lease. I sat with Lenny the lease return manager. I knew my buyout price. I knew I had to pay sales tax , to register the car and cover a document fee. What was also included was a 36 month -36,000 mile bumper to bumper warrentee . I did not want it or ask for it. I told Lenny I did not want it. His reply ,"the owner (Scott Barna) requires it because he does not want his customers dissapointed'. I again asked why would I want to pay an extra $3400 for something I did not want. I was told the same thing. I decided to think about it and discuss it with my husband. I called other Ford dealerships to ask if this was common practice. I got "no" from 2 dealers. And just to add after leaving your establishment without so much as a word or status of the progress or lack there of with my possible purchase, I was approved with another dealership and a financial institution that wanted to do business with me with all of the Non-existent Faults of my non-existent "buying habits" purchasing past. Avoid this service center at all costs and stay away from Patty for service. She's assisted me and my family in the past, but this time, she was extremely unprofessional, untrustworthy, and rude. I brought my 2016 Explorer in (that I purchased from Rt 23 Ford Auto Mall) for service. I have an extended warranty and Patty told me she tried contacting them, but after I spoke with the coveragers directly, she never did. Patty held my vehicle for 2 weeks, all for nothing. My vehicle had been hesitating with a flashing engine light, and Patty quoted me $2,700 for just a rear axle leak as the cause. I refused and I instead took my vehicle to my local auto body shop and all it needed was a tune up (new spark plugs/ignition coils, which my warranty covered). Brought couple of 2019 F550 cutaways for warranty work and each time I got them back, I had to fix myself what they did incorrectly. Patty in service department is useless. She does not know anything about the commercial vehicle and she was my service rep. It seems they're answer each time was to replace the very expensive exhaust system and try to tell me my turbo issue fix was to replace the DPF filter and that I should be impressed Ford was spending so much money on replacing the 5 thousand dollar filter. Rt 23 commercial is a joke. If you have a large commercial, then you don't have much choice in the tri-state area for warranty as Rt 23 can fit them in their shop. Its a shame that they're wasting the shop time employing sub-par, obviously untrained or unsupervised techs. I do not know how they're in the commercial business and I suggest to any and all commercial operators to avoid Rt 23 EVEN for warranty repairs. read more

How could I forget this place? A while back, stopped by after work to see an older Mustang GT they had advertised on their web site. Salesman could not find the car, which was not a good start to things. Eventually, he and I found it in the back lot, covered with grime, scratches, and scuffs. Upon seeing this beat-up vehicle, I explained that I was still interested in the car, but based on the condition, it was FAR over-priced. I explained that, being a Mustang enthusiast, I am very familiar with their various values. He said we could work on the price. That worked for me, as I intended to purchase the car to modify and use at the track. I asked for a test drive. He refused it. I asked why and he stated that the car needed to be inspected. I asked how a car can be advertised for sale if I cannot test drive it. He didn't answer. He then proceeded to try to make a deal with me to purchase the car. I told him I would not make any deals until I knew how the car ran. He did allow me to hear it run, and it clearly had a valve-tap issue. I pointed this out. He said he would call me the next day after "rushing" an inspection. Next day comes, and no call. I call the salesman. He tells me that the car cannot be sold due to its various "issues." This review is for the Collision Repair or Body shop that is associated with this dealer. I thought that going with a Ford dealer to repair a Ford made sense but I was way wrong. The repair work as far as items replaced, painted etc. was acceptable. But apparently the work they did required them to repaint the hood to blend it in with the new bumper and fender. I get my vehicle back and notice a number of areas on the front lip of the hood where the paint is all clumped up, kind of in like clusters of bubbles. Keep in mind, this was a 100% garage kept vehicle with less than 40K miles and not a scratch or blemish on it prior to the accident. When I asked about this I was told "oh you had rust starting, it's a common problem with Explorers, and new paint won't take to rust". When I asked why anyone would paint over rust and not repair it first, I was told the insurance wouldn't cover that. No one thought to call me and ask if I'd like to cover the added expense. Which of course I would have. I'd probably even pay to replace the hood if it meant my vehicle would look new again. This was complete incompetence. I would never take my vehicle to this shop again. read more

STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. ESPECIALLY THE GENERAL MANAGER, SOLOMON FAIZI. Stopped in today to purchase a vehicle from this dealer. Spoke to them the day before and they assured me the vehicle would be ready for a test drive upon arrival. Got there, the vehicle was sitting out front. -More damage on the exterior of the vehicle than we were told but nothing horrible. Went in and Solomon is the person who helped me. From the beginning he fouled things up. Very rigid and already giving off the vibe that he wasn't interested in helping but our interest outweighed his bad attitude.. Went to start the car and it was dead. Finally went out for a test drive and test things out with the electronics. I noticed the service engine light was on. I also see the mileage is over 20k miles. On the website it listed at 18k. Not a big deal but more annoyance. I begin to test the terrain management system and it comes back as an error. So in addition to the snarky attitude, dead battery, wrong mileage and service light, now the 4WD system doesn't work. I mentioned the service engine light ( he comes back with an excuse) I'm a straight shooter so this annoyed me but I still tried to pull together a deal for my wife. I mentioned the wrong mileage and he says, no it's say 19k on the website. I responded with no, it said 18k and it also says it on the one sheet taped to the window. He didn't response to that, instead just kept looking at his computer as if the answer would appear. While waiting for an appraisal on our trade, I was bombarded with details of how he usually sells $100k trucks and they're used to dealing with high dollar sales. I was unimpressed by the pompous, pretentious image. It was clear he had no business tact. He was unwilling to negotiate any price concession or offer a bit more on the trade-in price. Don't Ever Ever Ever buy an extended warranty for Rt23 Ford. I had the extended warranty and Chris from service fixed my cracked windshield and my extended warranty didn't cover it. A $6,700.00 for an extended warranty and it did not cover a small crack in the windshield. Chris charged me about $150 to fix the crack and it is still there. At the same time I dropped my truck to have the windshield fixed I had Rt 23 ford service (At my expense) upgrade my maps in my navigation. To make it simple Rt 23 destroyed my navigation system and then told me it was an issue with my Nav system, My nav system had no issues at all when I dropped the truck to have the maps updated. The radio, Nav, maps do not work now. I told Chris from Service I would Yelp and take RT23 to small claims court, Chris said the MANAGER DIDNT CARE. I am yelping now and will drag them into court soon. IN THE SERVICE AREA THE SIGN SAYS (SERVICE DRIVES SALES). I just spent almost $100,000 on a 2022 Ford F350 platinum dually IT WAS NOT FROM RT 23 FORD. The only dealership I have ever been treated worse by is Rockland CJD. If you ever get a letter from RT 23 ford saying it will pay you up to 20% more for your used car, just for fun look up the value of your vehicle on Kelly Bluebook and go in and see what RT 23 offers you for your car or truck. When I went in they offered me half of what the bluebook was and told me you can't believe Kelly Bluebook. LOL, Who do you believe? If anyone wants proof of what I say just until I take RT23 to small claims court I'm going to post the minutes and transcripts if there are any. Stay away!! I was looking to purchase a used car in July and they had an advertised price that was attractive. I went to the dealer and asked them if the price was Negotiable and told no. Then I asked what other charges were going to be added and I was told the dealer prep fee of $900. I told them I was not going to pay that and wanted to know what was included In that fee and he said they charge this fee to all used cars. He printed out a sheet showing me the what they put in to prep the car and it was $1700. Okay for me it was a good deal but what about a car that only needed $100 to prep. He said they would pay the $900. I asked why and he said it is average for everyone regardless how much it really cost to prep. So someone is potentially just giving the dealer pure profit if the amount to prep is less than $900. The dealer acted like it was no big deal for someone to pay a lot of money for something they did not get. I walked out not happy but told them I may back and they said sure and they had no hard feelings. I went home and discussed it with My wife and decided to buy the car anyway because in the end it was still cheaper even with the dealer prep fee than what other dealers were charging for this same car. So I decided to bite the bullet on the prep fee and called back 30 minutes later and was treated like absolute shit on the phone by the used car salesperson and told the car was Sold. Really? Car was on the lot for 2 months and It sold in the 30 minutes since I left? Ok oh well. But guess what? I checked their website after the call and the price was $2000 more. At the end of that day it was no longer on their website BUT a few weeks later that same car was listed again. So they lied to me that the car was sold. SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS A TOTAL SCAM!!! I have purchased all of my cars from this dealership and have continued to return to have each of them serviced here. That will never happen again. I took one of my cars in for its routine oil change on February 18th, and while waiting the Quick Land service manager came over to notify me that my battery and cabin air filter were in need of replacement. She showed me "my cabin air filter" that was quite dirty. I declined to have both the battery and filter replaced because I knew how to replace both on my own. When I removed my cabin air filter, the next day, I expected to find the same dirty filter that I was shown at the dealer. To my surprise I found a pristine filter that was in new condition. I immediately contacted Ford Motor Company and informed them of this deception and will never return to Route 23 Automall. read more

After a couple days, I noticed there was an oil leak on my garage floor. The red flags went off! I hired a private inspection comapny and had the car fully inspected. They confirmed there was an oil leak, as well as a leaking exhaust, and dirty transmission fluid. When I purchased the car, I was told everything was checked and the car had no problems and would in fact pass state inspection. Evidently, they lied to me. Not only that, but the car had sustained damage to the rear, and had been entirely repainted, which is not on the carfax, nor was this disclosed. A leaking exhaust is NOT going to pass state emissions inspection. A leaking exhaust can leak carbon monoxide into the cabin. Carbon monoxide can kill. I contacted the salesman, Andreas, as well as emailed the sales manager. Andreas was quick to ask me if I can bring in the car immediately the following morning, to which I accepted, but when I asked if it was to address all three of the issues, he said he would find out and call me in the morning. It's now the evening and not only did Andreas never call me all day, but despite sending a second email to create a paper trail of what has transpired so far, and included the sales manager again, I haven't heard back from anyone. That is unacceptable and basically translates to me as F U. I'm not going to sit back and take any of this lightly. To sell a vehicle without disclosing the existing problems is FRAUD! I will be seeking legal counsel as the state of NJ has some very strict laws in place to protect consumers against dealerships. You made a HUGE mistake ignoring me. read more

Terrible. Don't bother, if you are in the market for a used car watch out! A lot of hidden fees and extra charges. Went in for a Ford Certified vehicle, told it was certified, had the paper "certified" plate on it but they tried to charge $950 extra for the paperwork to show that it was certified. Also, and additional $900 for "preparation fee". Turned to Carvana and had similar car delivered for about $3000 less. Zero hassles, zero hidden fees. Hope they go out of business. read more

Possibly America's worst dealership. We took my husband's car in for service today and were turned away. We were told that they didn't have enough technicians to work on the car and they couldn't possibly "squeeze" us in. We called yesterday to confirm our appointment due to the impending snow storm and were told yes, to bring the car in as scheduled so long as they weren't closed for inclement weather. Called AGAIN this morning and then headed in only to be told "too bad." Such awful business practice and zero respect for customers' time. We will never go back. read more

Can't award zero stars, but they don't deserve the one I was forced to give. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for a car, even if you have to pay more. We bought a used vehicle with a warranty nearly 2 months ago from this dealership, and the engine blew 2 days later. Okay, things happen. When I called to discuss what we could do I was told the vehicle had no warranty (despite having proof that it was advertised as having one) I got so fed up with the denials and the runaround that I just yanked the heads and fixed it myself. Thank god I can do things like that, otherwise I'd be out another 3 grand. My wife was treated very disrespectfully by their staff when she attempted to get this mess straightened out, and as an added bonus, we are still waiting for license plates and a title. Did I mention this was two months ago? They don't return calls, they routinely "lose" your call when they transfer you, and then won't pick up when you call back. We had an appointment for service today at Ford. We used the night drop off box last night. I left a list of what needed to be done along with the recall. I got a call from Chris our Service Advisor this afternoon that it was ready and all my things were also covered under warranty. I must say that my local Ford dealer is horrible for service so this is why I drove all the way up here. I will recommend them to all for Ford service and will return. read more

A few weeks before we actually bought our 2015 Ford Escape from Rt. 23 Automall, I was having something upgraded on my 2014 Ford Explorer in the Service Department. I had some time to wait so I walked over to the showroom. I had researched the Ford Escape for about a year and we knew that this was the car that we wanted for my wife. Romeo Gray-Real was the first person I saw in the showroom and I briefly told him what I had in mind. Unlike the majority of salespeople whom I had encountered in the past, Romeo was helpful but in no way pushy or aggressive. He showed me what he had and let me look at those vehicles on my own. A few weeks later, my wife and I returned to the showroom and because of Romeo's more "gentle" approach a few weeks earlier, we wanted him to be the person with whom we would negotiate. I don't buy cars very often and I am always very careful to research what I want in advance so that when I am actually at the point where I am ready to make a deal, the experience will go smoothly and quickly. Romeo honored the price that I had found on the Internet. I believe that he did everything possible to make us feel that he really wanted our business and that our satisfaction with the vehicle as well our satisfaction with the price were at the top of his priority list. This was my second time using service from them . The first time was warranty work and was flawless. This time was not a good experience. I called service to make an appointment for an oil change on my 2011 Mustang GT. They said no appointments come down and we'll take you right in. So I take the half hour drive only to be told there is a two hour wait for an oil change. Why could service not tell me that on the phone? I walked out.
