Please request a new physician if you get Pradip Chaudhary. My son has Down syndrome and currently hospitalized for pneumonia. I have had to request almost every order knowing my child's health for the past 21 years. After 3 days of getting worse, me requesting a transfer to unc or Duke, he told me flat out they would decline my son because he would tell them he was stable and proceeded to say, so unfortunately I'll be his doctor. Later that afternoon my son ended up in Wayne ICU . I have all intentions of contacting patient advocate, medical director, state medical board and American medical association. This attending completely crossed the guidelines of ethic. Denying proper care for my child and his conditions. Action will be taken and lawyer will be consulted. Our stay and current stay has been extremely stressful and traumatic under the care of Chaudhary. read more

I have been in a room for an emergency for over 4 hours and the nurse has been in once and no doctor has been in to see me either. Too bad this is the only hospital in Wayne county or I would never use this hospital. Terrible Service. read more

This hospital needs to change the process of care. I had to bring my children here because every urgent care and pediatric office was closed because of snow we did not get in wayne county. My children were sick, my 6 yr old whom has a heart condition, 1 kidney, and respiratory issues was vomiting, screaming about his stomach and ear hurting and my 4 yr old was crying about his ear and throat hurting. I told the triage nurses and the PA I had been diagnosed the day before with strep and I had both children tested on tuesday for covid and it was negative. And that my covid test was negative yesterday. And that I wanted them tested for Strep!!! Instead of them testing them first for strep and covid at the same time. They test them for covid, wait and hour come back in and ask me if I want them tested for strep. I asked what was the first test for because the PA said it would test for 19 viruses and infections. He said oh no that was just for covid. I am pissed. I asked how much longer. Oh the covid test takes an hour and a half and the strep test takes an hour the nurse says. As soon as I brought my children in and said i was positive for strep and asked for them to be tested, htey should have been tested. I have private insurance, my 6 yr old has my insurance and SSI medicaid, it is no reason for them not to be test for whatever I ask. Instead, I have been here for 5 hours for something that could have been tested for in triage and we could have been home. There is not information posted in the room for patient advocacy or to make any type of feedback, no comment cards or suggestion. read more

How could you even consider this horrible place a hospital. The entire staff that my family and I dealt with was horrible. The doctors were very inconsiderate and they were more interesting in playing GOD. Please avoid any dealing with the two assholes by the name of Dr. Mayo who is actually a Dentist but he is in charge of the ICU and the heartless Dr. TJ, that is just interested in letting the patient die. Some of the ICU nurses really need more training before working in that setting. The nurse Brittany that thought she was a know it all had only been a nurse for a year so she was really just getting started good. She tried to answer questions that she did not have any knowledge on which was a big mistake. UNC really need to reconsider putting their name with Wayne. I hope the doors are locked before anyone go through what I experienced with this hell hole. read more

Alright, where to begin. Hospital staff are somewhat friendly. The doctors are definitely NOT qualified to make any kind of judgement and don't really seem to care if you are in pain or not. They just slap you with a bill, prescriptions, and tell you to come back if the pain gets worse or you develop other symptoms. read more

Ended up here after an Rzr/ATV accident at busco beach! The RN there Jenny/Jennifer was great, she came in as soon as I was brought in. Took all my vitals and information! I came in around 11:30 pm. Wasn't seen by doctor until about 5 am, but It didn't bother me I slept through most of it with pain on my knee because of a very deep cut that needed stitches. I also had some X-rays taken of my right forearm and right knee. But she was the one I had the most interaction with since she was the one checking up on me until doctor came in . She offered my boyfriend and I anything we needed. The about around 4-430 am doc came in gave me the numbing shot on my knee then came in when the shot was wearing off (45 mins later) to sew me up! But he was also very nice & helpful! Hopefully you don't end up in the ER, but if you do.. I hope she's your nurse! After such bad experience she made me comfortable and made me appreciate the fact it wasn't as worse as it could have been. read more
