This was our second & last attempt. After our last review on FB Derek the owner reached out & asked that we give them a second chance, so we did. We got there a little after 7 tonight & it wasn't overly packed but it was busier than the last time we were there. We waited over 35 minutes for our appetizer, the cheesy shrimp rolls. At this point my friend Charity Cruz called our server over to ask how much longer it would take. There was absolutely NO communication from our server prior to this. She said she would check, she came back & said there were two tickets ahead of us & it would be a 5-10 minute wait. So in other words she forgot to put the order in, because 10 minutes later our appetizer came out. Before you say how do you know she didn't put in the order?? I watched the door because I was facing out. No other servers came out with an appetizer or an order within that time. When she sat the cheesy shrimp tacos in front of us she asked if we would like any sauces. I asked what did it come with, to which she informed us she didn't know because she didn't order it. She went to find out & came back with a little container of sour cream, salsa & ranch. Now this was by far a very good appetizer! It was seasoned well & had a lot of shrimp in it. The sour cream complimented it. We had to ask for napkins & silverware. She brought them to us after we finished the appetizer. This shouldn't have to be something that's asked for, but it happens. Still nothing from her, she just lays them on the table & walks away. I ordered the French Dip Grilled sliced sirloin and melted cheese jammed in a roll with house made au jus 9.99 with french fries. I asked if it came with onions & asked what type of cheese they put in the sandwich. She told me she didn't know but would find out, she came back to say it has white cheese. My friend ordered the "Butcher Day" Pork Chop A 12 oz. thick cut, Dutch chop topped with fresh pineapple, includes one side, and bread 14.99 she got broccoli with cheese as her side. ** This was suggested to her in her last review (which was also a horrible experience) We received our meals at a quarter after eight, so over an hour after coming in & still no communication from our server on the delay. There were less people in the dining room then when we first got there (I mention this to show they weren't swamped.) The pork chop was so heavily salted it was like licking a salt block. The broccoli & cheese was a straight up joke! (See picture as to why). She had asked the server for the pineapples that were supposed to be on the pork chop & she was told they were out of pineapples. You would think that would have been something that was told to us when the order was placed. Her toast was cold as well. My sandwich wasn't overly bad. It definitely tasted like one of those steak hoagies you get in a bag to cook at home in a bind. The fries are definitely frozen fries & were cold. The au jus was absolutely horrible, it had no seasoning & no taste. We had to get another server to get a manager because ours was nowhere in sight. I had to ask again for a manager & finally after almost 15 minutes a woman showed up at our table. She didn't identify herself & said her name was Beth when I asked. We explained how we'd been in the other night & because Derek reached out to us we tried to gave it a second attempt. We showed her the broccoli with the piece of cheese just laying on top & she said "lovely." She told us the reason we had no silverware was because they kept running out tonight & how our server was new, multiple excuses. We were told they have been out of pineapples for a month now & she keeps telling the cooks this. I told her the customers need to be told this! She never apologized but told us the pork chop usually was the best thing on the menu. Then asked if we wanted to speak with Peyton. I asked who this was?! She informed me Derek's daughter & I said sure. She clearly couldn't make the decision on the experience & needed higher up. (I found out later she was a shift lead so I'm not sure if that's a manager or not.) She came back out after another 15 minutes & said Peyton must be in the basement. She then proceeded to tell us that she was going to make the exact meal for us to go. Lol so not even the fact that 1) we weren't asked if that's what we wanted to do or 2) to rectify the situation if we wanted it remade to where we were dining in, but to be told that it would be packaged up for us to go.. I told her no thank you, the meal wasn't enjoyable while we were here, we're definitely not going to take it home and try it again! She disappeared into the kitchen, saying that she had to tell the cooks this. The next thing we know our server comes out, muttering, something to where neither one of us could understand and lays our ticket on the table & walks off. read more

Excellent food, delicious home style cooking. I normally don't eat gravy and I count have enough of their brown gravy. The blacken shrimp in point. This place is amazing, we are from Florida and are on a road trip heading north and stoped here for dinner. OMG everything we ordered was delicious. We stumbled across this gem of a place while in a road trip. I got a plain cheeseburger, with homemade chips and queso dip. My husband got chicken tenders which he pronounced to be the best tenders he's had in forever and he's a chicken tender connoisseur, believe me. the lady that served us was in nice terms a b word with a lot of attitude and we got there asked to move outside and we did. after 20 minutes of waiting then she asked use our drinks and appetizer well she brought the appetizer after about 15 minutes then asked us our drinks again. after 30 minutes of waiting a different girl brings out a appetizer we didn't order and finally after a hour of waiting and complaining and them not moving any faster we got our food but still not our drinks we was half way finished with my food till i got mine and my buddy didn't get his condiments till his food was ice cold so never go here in my opinion read more

We were referred to this place when we were in town looking for a second home for next year near the lake, our server was excellent, I think her name is Brook, ironically she's from where we live, she's got an incredible personality and the food was great! While the food is good the wait time to get food was an hour and 15 mins! While it was very busy when we got here most had all received their food. We ordered a hamburger and ham n cheese sandwich! Wont be back. Was like this the time we stopped before. Wait for food was 1 1/2 hrs! No excuse! Big crowd before we got there but they mostly all had their food so that was no excuse. Plus this happens when we stopped here before. We lost an hour and a half plus time to eat it out of our day! They are just way too slow here. If u are pinched for time skip this place! Terrible service!! We were excited to try this place but the service made us never want to return. We waited over an hour for our food AFTER we ordered and it wasn't even busy. Turns out a couple beside us who had been there 30 min longer than us never even got their food because they forgot to ring it in. Back in September my boyfriend and I were on our way to eat at Sunset Marina, however their online hours were incorrect. On the way there we had passed Wayne's and joked about how it looked like it was run down but there were lots of cars outside so it has to be good! Once finding out the marina closed we knew we wanted to check this place out. We sat down and were served instantly by the nicest server! My boyfriend got the Ruben and I had a burger. I waited for the place to be open for quite awhile... I should have just waited. I ordered the "fresh" grilled salmon and a salad w/ BLU cheese dressing, coffee. They were busy but just because the waitresses were so DISORGANIZED. Did I say DISORGANIZED??? They Owner/ Manager was walking around seemingly with no clue as to what was, or rather was not going on... Finally had to ASK for a menu, then waited another 20 minutes, (yes I DID TIME IT!) and asked the waitress if it was possible to take my order. I think that upset the system(?)... I asked for coffee, it took a while to get coffee and LONGER to get a refill. I had to ask for a refill as the waitress was passing, she seemed put out that I asked for more coffee, I STILL did not have my order. BAD, bad, BAD! Will I go back? I have been for lunch several times and I always get the Philly Cheese Steak. It is very good! Homemade chips on the side go quite well with it. Everyone I have eaten here with always says their dishes is very good. I have yet to be disappointed. Wayne's is the best place to grab lunch in town at the moment in my opinion. Jude likes the shrimp, I like just about everything else, especially the home made chips. Wayne takes pride in everything about his restaurant - especially making it a 'family restaurant'. A nice place to take the kids, grandkids and anyone else's kids. There is a bar area where adults can separate themselves from families, if they wish. Wayne's is NOT a place to observe patrons who have had too much to drink. Wayne insures that patrons do not show up to drink and get rowdy. Overall, Wayne's is an asset to the community! I am an EXTREMELY patient person with food service. I worked as a waitress for 5 years. Today I waited 30 minutes for a salad. 45 minutes for my appetizer. After receiving my food, I placed a to-go order for my family at home. I waited another HOUR for the to-go order. The excuse was my to-go order was placed AFTER a party of 8's order. What kind of sense does that make? The server was nice. The lady obviously running the place was not. I asked her if she could check on my salad and appetizer. She just said well we had a lot of orders so we have to wait for them to get to yours. To my salad? The cook doesn't make the salads. Me and my girlfriend visited Wayne's for the first time tonight and everything was great. It may seem somewhat biased, being a bartender and working in the hospitality industry myself, but the service was good as was the food. The prices on alcohol were BEYOND reasonable. 2.50 for a draft of Yuengling in an ice cold mug and only 6.00 for a bit of Maker's 46 on the rocks. Food was seasoned and cooked perfectly.
