The sushi was great! We ordered several rolls and shared the platter. The fire roll we had was really fun too. The waitress was great too and helped us navigate the menu.

Best sushi I have ever had, the service is the best I've ever had. The ambiance is something like Japan, and the servers are amazing.

I stopped by Wayo for the first time yesterday evening to grab some sushi takeout after having the restaurant recommended to me by a friend. I was greeted by a host who provided me with a menu after I asked to order takeout. He was very helpful with answering my questions about the menu, providing recommendations, and giving me a time estimate for when my food will be ready. He told me that it would be about 15 minutes-- and 10 minutes later my shrimp udon and my spicy salmon roll were ready to go! Not only was the service great and quick, but the food itself was very good. It was pretty reasonably priced (I got a fairly large serving of udon with 5 large shrimp and an 8 piece roll for $19 after tax) and had great flavor. The spicy salmon roll has a more generous portion of fish in it than most restaurants seem to give on a "cheaper" roll. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and will definitely be returning to Wayo for takeout or a sit down meal.

We were in the mood for sushi and wanted to try a new place. We came on a Friday evening around 8pm and the place was quiet. We were one of two tables. After tasting our food I was shocked that this place wasn't packed out. We started with Miso soup and Crab Rangoon, both were delicious. The Miso soup is one of, if not the, best I've ever had. The Crab Rangoons were stuffed with cream cheese and real shredded crab meat, fried to perfection and not overly crunchy. For our entrees we had the Chicken Yakisoba and the Rich & Famous roll. The Yakisoba had great flavor. The veggies were cooked perfectly and enhanced the flavor of the dish. Most noodle dishes are more noodle than veggies and meat. Not the case here! The Rich & Famous roll is definitely rich with flavor. It was plated beautifully and not overly doused with sauces. Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. If you enjoy Sushi, this is the best I've found in Springfield!

The 3 rolls we had (Rich & Famous, Lobster, 911 Rolls) were just a magnificent blend of tastes and textures and even temperatures! Cooked perfectly also. Before those we shared the Jalapeño Bombs. The jalapeños were so fresh and yummy. Best sushi I've had in a while.

Delicious sushi! I've eaten there only twice, but both were incredible! I'm a sweet tooth, so I got the summer dream roll, and an eel roll. And miso soup to start the meal.

Great service, great sushi and great peaceful private environment. Love, love, love this little place!

Shrimp yakisoba, I like the noodle, the taste is okay and the price is a bit high for the portion.

I been here many time, the reason we go back is they have happy hours before 6 pm. Also my boyfriend love fried rolls there. I found the food here sometime inconsistent sometime fresh sometime makes my stomach feel uneasy. I would say the price is pretty okay, the restaurant's atmosphere is nice, and good service.

I ordered the Tonkatsu fried pork cutlet thinking it was like traditional ramen with a meat in broth with noodles. This was not that . When it came, it was a tray with steamed rice, miso soup and a beautifully presented Japanese version of a German schnitzel!! I was surprised and after the first bite of the tender, crispy pork, I was sold. It was delicious. It's a nice little restaurant with outstanding service and pleasant atmosphere. This continues to be a repeater for me.

The lighting is dim and intimate and there was music playing at just the right volume. The restaurant was full however I received kind, prompt, and attentive service. I was dining alone, so I decided to sit at the bar which had plenty of available stools. The bartender was friendly and was able to answer my questions about the menu selections. Now for the food.... It was outstanding! I had the Chashu Bun as an appetizer and the Cheeky Ramen as my main. They were both off the chart tasty. Since I was sitting at the bar which is adjacent to the sushi chef station and right outside the kitchen, I saw many delicious looking plates go out. If I lived in Springfield, MO, I would be a regular. Visit this restaurant. You won't regret it!

This was my first time visiting Springfield, and I didn't expect to find a place like this…read more The restaurant has a really fun Japanese anime vibe, with Totoro decor and even lucky cat (maneki-neko) touches throughout, which I absolutely loved. It honestly felt like the owner might be Japanese or Chinese, because the whole atmosphere was thoughtfully done and very authentic. The service staff were all friendly and welcoming, and overall the dining experience was great. We did have a delay with one of our dishes (waited over 30 minutes), but the manager noticed the issue right away, took responsibility, and handled it really well. They even offered us complimentary spring rolls, which I really appreciated. That kind of attentiveness and care makes a big difference. The food was solid and enjoyable--of course, you can't compare it to bigger cities, but for Springfield, this is definitely a great find. They also have a robot that helps deliver food, which was such a fun and unique touch. I'm here for work, traveling from out of state, and we actually ended up coming back four days in a row--which probably says everything. You can really tell the owner put a lot of heart into this place--from the decor to the overall experience. I appreciate being able to enjoy a different culture like this, especially in a smaller city. Springfield has given me a really great impression and some wonderful memories. Would definitely recommend
