The stuffs were rude, especially the owner-looking midget lady. The food was okay but felt like it could have been better.

Food was so horrible. The steak was too hard to even chew and was all gristle. Food tasted spoiled.

Definitely one of my favorite places to have hibachi. Really nice staff, huge portions and great food.

We usually sit at the sushi bar, and the sushi chef often recommends a few pieces based on the fresh fish they have that day. Everything is consistently fresh and delicious. It's also fun watching the sushi being prepared right in front of you. If you visit, I definitely recommend sitting at the sushi bar. We always have a great experience here.

Unfortunately, the experience went downhill after we placed our order. I'm from New York City, where I'm used to busy restaurants, but waiting over 30 minutes for our food was excessive. Even the beers we ordered took more than 20 minutes to arrive. The biggest disappointment was the sushi quality. The salmon nigiri was noticeably discolored and didn't look or taste fresh. We also ordered the "bluefin tuna nigiri," but it was clearly not bluefin. I've had bluefin many times, and what was served appeared to be saku tuna (yellowfin), which was misleading. The specialty rolls were creative and visually appealing, but nothing really stood out. They mostly seemed to be standard rolls topped with tempura flakes rather than offering anything unique. Overall, the atmosphere and service at the beginning were enjoyable, but the long wait times and disappointing sushi quality left us underwhelmed. Will I be coming back ? Maybe .. but probably not .

I ordered the Tonkatsu fried pork cutlet thinking it was like traditional ramen with a meat in broth with noodles. This was not that . When it came, it was a tray with steamed rice, miso soup and a beautifully presented Japanese version of a German schnitzel!! I was surprised and after the first bite of the tender, crispy pork, I was sold. It was delicious. It's a nice little restaurant with outstanding service and pleasant atmosphere. This continues to be a repeater for me.

The lighting is dim and intimate and there was music playing at just the right volume. The restaurant was full however I received kind, prompt, and attentive service. I was dining alone, so I decided to sit at the bar which had plenty of available stools. The bartender was friendly and was able to answer my questions about the menu selections. Now for the food.... It was outstanding! I had the Chashu Bun as an appetizer and the Cheeky Ramen as my main. They were both off the chart tasty. Since I was sitting at the bar which is adjacent to the sushi chef station and right outside the kitchen, I saw many delicious looking plates go out. If I lived in Springfield, MO, I would be a regular. Visit this restaurant. You won't regret it!

It honestly felt like the owner might be Japanese or Chinese, because the whole atmosphere was thoughtfully done and very authentic. The service staff were all friendly and welcoming, and overall the dining experience was great. We did have a delay with one of our dishes (waited over 30 minutes), but the manager noticed the issue right away, took responsibility, and handled it really well. They even offered us complimentary spring rolls, which I really appreciated. That kind of attentiveness and care makes a big difference. The food was solid and enjoyable--of course, you can't compare it to bigger cities, but for Springfield, this is definitely a great find. They also have a robot that helps deliver food, which was such a fun and unique touch. I'm here for work, traveling from out of state, and we actually ended up coming back four days in a row--which probably says everything. You can really tell the owner put a lot of heart into this place--from the decor to the overall experience. I appreciate being able to enjoy a different culture like this, especially in a smaller city. Springfield has given me a really great impression and some wonderful memories. Would definitely recommend

My favorite thing to get is their omo box, it is such a great deal with a little bit of everything. If you've never had sake, I recommend their sake flight. After trying their flight, I am now a fan of sake. The only downside, is it gets really busy on the weekends and the wait can get pretty long. However, if you prepare for a wait when you go or go during a slower time, it's a great place!
