Great place to eat in Trout Creek. Been here a few times always consistent with their food and service. I chose the grilled cheese with garlic cheese curds!! I know cheese overload. But the grilled cheese was a gooey cheesy goodness toasted perfectly and tasty. Garlic cheese curds were very garlicky but delicious. My BF had their special of BBQd brisket coleslaw and beans. The brisket was done well and so were his sides. The portion was huge. She did tell us there'd be a wait for the brisket and it did take about 30 minutes we could see all the Togo orders going out. Locals must know brisket night!! Our second visit was a Friday and I had the clam chowder. It was not very hot but not bad enough to get it microwaved. It had a string flavor of tarragon and the potatoes were a bit firm. I don't think I would order it again. The place was clean and had a sports feel to the decor. Give them a try. read more

I'm staying in Trout Creek and as you can imagine there aren't many dining options in the area. I stopped by on a Friday night for dinner and it was pretty popping and there were a lot of people just hanging out and socializing. There are also pool tables and TVs to watch sports games. I ordered the wayside burger ($11) and upgraded to cheddar tots for an extra $1.50. The burger had lots of mayo and was a good solid burger. The cheddar tots were good as well but I was struggling to eat the last couple because it was so much food and I was stuffed. The wells are $3 like many other places in the area. Wayside just not the same. We waited over an hour for one burger and fries to split. After an hour we asked how much longer, 10 more minutes they said. We walked out. I try to support local when ever I can, but not a good experience. I hope it improves. read more

I got the Bourbon Street Burger and it was delicious! So big I had to cut it half just to attempt to pick it up. Totally recommend it. They have pool tables, some arcade machines, slot machines and a great selection on drinks. read more

We dropped by here on our detour to Butte. The place seems to be like others in the boonies. But with great food, the fries are really excellent and the burger was well cooked. Service was very friendly. So we'll worth a stop for some local ambience; you can't go wrong here! read more

This was a great find! I had never had prime rib with such wonderful flavor before (and I've eaten a lot of prime rib!). No horseradish necessary! The wait staff and bartenders were very friendly. We also happened to hit a night during their concert series which was a lot of fun! read more

Waitress passed us multiple times without stopping to acknowledge us . Finally, we were acknowledged, it only took 30 minutes. Table was filthy dirty, waitress never offered to clean our table, and placed our silverware on the dirty table without a napkin. Worst service I have ever experienced at the Wayside. Food was subpar. My husband ordered a side salad, he never received it, but they charged us for it. Waitress said she'd bring another round of drinks, " I promise", that never happened. The service was a little slow, albeit friendly, but the burgers were so good I had to give it five stars. I might even venture to say the best burger I've ever had. There were three in our party, we ordered different burgers and they were all awesome. The two that came with avocado came with 1/2 of an avocado. The only problem was trying to get your mouth open wide enough to take a bite. The Wayside Bar & Grill - We (my husband and son) have been going there for the past year. When we first started going there the food and service was great! Their server(s) Rhonda was always friendly and very thorough with our orders and our food would always come out good, not burnt or undercooked but GREAT! Over this winter and until now 07/29/2021 we unfortunately have seen a considerable change in the service and food. I'm not one to complain or write reviews but, I feel they should be aware of the situation to help better their business. Everyone, is always friendly there. Cleanliness in the place is good. They definitely NEED a new cook or maybe some helpful tips on how long to cook the food for. We decided to go there today thinking that after a few months of not coming in because of bad service and food that maybe something had changed. Unfortunately,the food is just getting worse! Visiting family in Noxon. He recommended Wayside, but with reservations as they have new owners and he wasn't sure if the change was good or not. We were all very pleasantly surprised as all of our meals were delicious and with ample servings. Salmon Cobb salad very good- I had the beef with broccoli, rice and egg roll - very tasty. Every time we've gone here the food as be absolutely disgusting . we popped in today for a quick lunch at 2:30. An hour and a half goes by and our waitress come over and says they didn't make it but they put it on. so we wait some more. onion rings come out but that was it! They were soggy!! Then our food comes. My south of the border was raw all the way through and my fries were soggy! we sent the burger back because it was inedible. It came back and was still raw! This place has EPIC burgers!! Food is delicious and fairly large portions. Waitress was very friendly. If you don't mind the bar scene, it's a good place to stop and unhinge your jaw around a burger.
