My first conversation was the office manager (who was polite and professional) asking an extraordinary amount of questions prior to a visit including measurements which I felt that was the job of the person coming out to provide an estimate. I was given a quote of 40-60K for a small Lakewood bathroom (note this was before anyone actually saw my bathroom.. why is this done?). Then I was scheduled out several weeks in advance. The day of my appointment, I took off of work. About a half hour prior to the appointment time, it was cancelled. I get it, stuff happens. I was a bit put off by the last minute cancel and the wasted day off. I went to reschedule and they had nothing for several weeks. I asked if they can make an exception since they were the ones to cancel and they could not. They asked if I wanted a zoom appointment (not sure how that would work???). I live 10 minutes away from their office. In the mean time I had 3 other local contractors (who had all been recommended) come out. All three were half of the price of the "estimate" I was given over the phone. Obviously this company does not need work. The installed the wrong mantel, which was damaged from the manufacturer (told me who cares), they damaged our $4500 bookcases/cabinets, installed a piece of arched molding that was damaged by the manufacturer, failed to finish to crown molding and kept the key to our house and refused to return it. There is a whole lot more that I could go in to. In total, I had to pay $2,000 for repairs for the damages they caused and they would not work out a settlement with us so they put a lien on our house. We paid the amount owed because we could not take another loan out on our home unless we paid the lien off. They have yet to remove the lien and we paid them in full over 2 months ago. This company is unethical, does subpar work and charges top dollar for subpar work. The job took them 3 months to complete. I highly encourage you to not hire this company that does not care about their work or their customers. I paid $13,000 for a fireplace redo and my bookcases have issues because to make them look halfway decent, they had to be repainted. So in total, this job cost me almost $18,000. We have a home Choice Cabinets in the kitchen and laundry room. I am not sure if they are the…read morehighest quality, I know that within the Choice selection they do not seem to be the "Top of the Line", but they are holding up quite well and are very attractive. We recently had three under counter cabinet drawers that were not closing and were making a little ping noise. When I removed the drawers I could see that a little gray plastic part was broken. I was not sure how that affected the closing of the drawer, but it clearly was not right. I found Choice Cabinets online and called the home office totally expecting this to be a hassle. Not so, the operator transferred me to a person who looked up my address and took down my information, and in a matter of ten of fifteen minutes said she would sen out replacement hardware that should arrive in about a week. Three days later the three now rails arrived. They were easy to replace, maybe ten to fifteen minutes each and the draws work perfectly again. BTW, they are the same hardware but the closing mechanism is a little different, so I suspect they have been improved over the other design. It was great experience to have the manufacturer stand behind their product.
