I had an issue come up and then called them for service. They were on it quickly and they're tech came from Ankeny to where I live in Indianola and provided great service and fixed the problem. Had new garage door opener installed. Broke within an hour. Took two weeks for a repair to be completed. Broke again within an hour of 'fix', called in again and told fix would be free but was charged over $300.00. highly DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

WD Door is the worst business I've dealt with. They basically stole my hard-earned money with the worst service I have ever experienced. The installation was the worst I have ever seen. I filed a claim and was immediately rejected by Kyle Johnson from Haas Doors. He was a total jerk and very unprofessional. He proceeded to tell me that I needed to fix the door myself and the door was only installed for about 3 weeks. I finally reached out to the GM (his name was Steve B) he promised a follow up call back a few days later and stated he was ready to get this issue resolved. We purchased a custom garage door several years ago and have even had it serviced by them. This latest service call was completed but the repair man said that the office would send a bill. Two days later the emailed invoice arrived marked "PAST DUE". When I asked them why that was, I was told that anything over five days old is automatically considered past due. Very uninformed office staff and their lack of knowledge will have me go elsewhere for service in the future. read more

Shop around you can do better then WD Doors.. We had a small crack in our garage door so I called to have somebody come look at it and to see if it was under warranty. They had sent out a repairman, I told him I don't want a bandaid put on it because the door still works fine I just wanted to know if it was still under warranty. I had fresh concrete I was working on so I had to get back to my project. When I have finished I discovered he had put a 10 pound angle iron on my garage door,,, and charge my wife and I$129.00 I was not happy-! I called to complain about the charge, the person I talked to said the receptionist had sent off the wrong person and that I needed a salesman. So the next week a salesman showed up to look at my door he said he would not refund my money but I could apply it towards a new door. I did some research and found out My door was covered for warranty because of the rust, when I pointed this out to the sales man he said that the fact that I had installed styrofoam insulation on my garage door that voided my warranty. I asked him why that was, he said that I cannot add any weight to my garage door. ....humm... I quickly pointed out to him that his repair man just placed a 10-pound angle iron on my garage door and I asked him did that not void my warranty also? Finally he said he would take pictures of the rust and send it in for warranty he said he would be back that night to take pictures, we never ever saw or heard from him again. To me the mark of a good company is how it takes care of a disgruntled customer and this company did not do that-! They may be all happy to take your money at the beginning of the sale but watch out when it comes to warranty work as they will not honor it. We never got our money back we never heard from them again-!.... we still have that angle iron on our garage door and I'm still not happy, so do your homework go elsewhere as this company has terrible customer service. read more

We have used them two different times both times to fix springs that went out in our two garage doors. The first time we called around and priced it out and WD was comparable with the other companies we called. The whole reason I'm leaving this review was because of our most recent time using them. We had a guy named Bob come out to do the work and he was amazing. Not only did he fix the spring but he found a crack and weak spot in the door and placed a bracket on it to stabilize it. When he was done working he took the time to show me a couple cool tricks to the remote which was great. If you need garage door work I definitely recommend WD and if you use them ask for Bob. The only reason they aren't getting a one-star review is because the rep that was scheduled to come out and assess my door actually did show up at the agreed up time. However, he was there about 5 minutes, didn't discuss the work to be done, didn't say what materials would be needed or even give a ball-park estimate. He then left with telling me he'd get back to me later in the day and provide my quote. That was 2 weeks ago. So, I gave my business to Delden. I highly recommend them over WD. read more

I had this company do a garage door operator install in my house. They have a professional staff who does great work. They arrived on time and installed the system quick. They did not appear to cut any corners, they made sure the install was done right. The price was also very reasonable. I had a garage door repair done about a year and a half ago. The door was a small (one stall) under 6-month old, new door so only paid for broken springs to be repaired. They wanted to replace the door too but I said "no." They charged over $400 and used my lumber for part of the work they did. They installed plastic springs which broke or slipped or whatever after about a year and a couple of months. No warranty or offer to take a look to see what can be done. No-their attitude is, any warranty that would have been in place would have been gone after a year. Do NOT EVER use them. They are VERY overpriced for the work they do and I believe they used substandard materials knowing darn well the "life-expectancy" of those parts in conjunction with that door! I'd give 1/2 star if I could. read more

we purchased a home from a builder - 1 year warranty. We had 2 techs out within the 1 year warranty for issues. Now, 6 months after our warranty is up, our garage door is bowing & cracks in the bottom 3 panels. They assumed we hit it, which we did not. The tech that came out said that it was probably hit before install & they installed it anyway - that the other 2 techs should have investigated the problems we were having. He was taking the info back to the office. A salesman left a message & quoted us to install 3 new panels or a new door. My husband returned his call to discuss the issues & no call back. They do not stand behind their doors or their install & service. No, we can not prove it was hit before install & we know we did not hit it, but they didn't even try to work with us. read more

Recently had WD change out some panels and add an electric opener. Panel installation was great and the opener was "hung" but installers said they couldn't "hook it up", in spite of the fact that there was already electrical service to the opener. So I had to arrange to have the electrical service connected, wire up the sensor eyes as well as the wall switch to raise and lower the door. This was difficult as this was a tall door in a pole barn. Maybe I am naive, but when you have someone install a garage door opener, I feel that just "hanging it" is a little underwhelming and if full installation to the point of making it "operational" isn't part of installation, a disclosure to that extent should be provided. Shame on them for not hooking up the unit to make it operational or disclosing that their price didn't include this critical part of the job!!! read more

Rick was super helpful in guiding me in picking out the opener I needed to replace a faulty one that had been installed by another company when our house was built. When they came to install it, the two gentlemen were very courteous, there was no foul language amid their friendly banter and they knew their stuff!
