I was a fan of Paws Pet Resort until an incident happened today. My dog got too friendly with…read moreanother dog. So I understood why they took him out of the play area . What I didn't know is that when your dog is taken out...he or she is out for the rest of the day in a small room. He was in this room with no water for 3 hours that I know of by watching their cam and not seeing him. I asked to see where he had been taken and I was amazed...all these little rooms were filled with dogs. Many of which were just barking. I couldn't believe this was going on when one is paying for doggie care and in my case to have my dog socializing with others. Another thing that disturbed me is that when I asked to see where Rusty was, he didn't know which room he was in. So it seemed to me that these dogs are put away and not bothered with until they are picked up. It's interesting that on a sign in the office says something like "these furry babies are like your child". Tell me what parent would put their child into a small room for hours. If you choose to go there make sure you give them your standards and what you won't tolerate. Go and see the whole place during a time when dogs are there. If I had seen and known what I saw today earlier I wouldn't have brought my dog. I'm not going back.

I talk to the lady that works there and they only offer morning tours due to their intense cleaning procedures that take place in the afternoon!Unfortunately some people don't respect their rules and just walk in whenever and demand a tour and when they are told no or that it will be short then they get mad and make false accusations! I was checking the place out and it makes sense to ask to see the place in the morning since the dogs are more clam and the employees have more time. The "hole" was actually their drain system that gets opened up for cleaning time after all the dogs go into their rooms. And I myself witnessed the big dogs enjoy playing rough with the kids play slide that they have in their daycare so obviously it will be torn off a bit. But there was not plastic pieces laying around so it safe to say that the toy is strong enough for the dogs. The smell was honestly not that bad. I mean they take care of all animals , so a little common sense would tell you that it will smell like animals. And I can re assure that all the occupied rooms had bedding and water. The lady answer all my questions and made me feel comfortable with leaving my dogs. The place is small and there isn't much to it but it feels homie. They send pictures every day. Also the owner and staff reply really fast and there's good communication. For pet owners that just need simple and chill care this place is for them. It is wide open space for our dog to run, and I love that because it is SO much better than her being boarded in a room with 50 other dogs. All of the Dog Ranch staff are amazing and truly care for all of the dogs. The property is a dog dream come true. The multiple acres are filled with play yards that include a swimming pool, play structures, etc. Every time I bring a dog to be boarded at the Dog Ranch something has been added or changed to improve the property. I love the new fence heights that were installed most recently (I have one jumper ). I give the OC Dog Ranch the biggest tail wags you've ever seen.

We are relatively new to OC Pup Scouts starting in Dec 2025, and have gone through the temperament assessment and puppy training, but now that we've "graduated" to the pack walks, they've changed their prices and increased them 10%. Seemingly nominal, but this should have been disclosed or at least acknowledged upfront when asking about the program and pricing. The walkers and admin have been great, and my pup seems to really enjoy the walks. It's just feels a little icky that they probably knew about the price increase and conveniently left it out when vetting the business. Maybe I just had unlucky timing with it, because they did say this price increase was the "first in years". I get it, cost of living goes up. I just wish they had been honest and upfront about it (or at least honor their quoted pricing for another quarter or two), hence the removal of a star. I was looking for a service where my pup could safely interact and socialize with other dogs, not necessarily for the walk itself, so I found what I thought would be a good pick in OC Pup Scouts. The pack walk services are great. The handlers all seem friendly and genuinely nice people. They will pick up your pup from your chosen location and drive them in a van to a park where they embark on an hour long walk at a time. I especially love that they provide you an update/pictures of their walks. The pups all seem to enjoy their time together. There have been a few last minute schedule changes that range from a few minutes to an hour delay, but they've been pretty consistent about communicating these. This is also to be expected when your clients are... well dogs, but I only mention it to warn others to be flexible. Overall, I'm satisfied with the services rendered. I am happy I found OC Pup Scouts, and would be happy to recommend them for their pack walks. Hoping that the prices remain stable for the foreseeable future, and they don't pull a Spotify and jack them up every year.
