Be prepared to deal with "Karens"... Horrible customer service, the staff there is beyond unprofessional. I had the displeasure of interacting with Desiree, the clerk, and Rose, her supervisor. I suffer from PTSD stemming from a traumatic time in my life, which includes said marriage. My particular case is a unique one in regards to child custody matters. When trying to explain this to Desiree and Rose, I was met with rudeness. I was told my situation isn't unique and that there is surely a document on file that they need in order to move forward with my request. When I assured them both no such document exists, I would know as I was present in court and they were not, I was told they would not move forward and we're going to keep the $500+ I'd already paid, and do nothing. When I showed up in person, obviously upset being told by Desiree that essentially, We the People were going to just keep my money without performing the service I paid them to do, I was met with rudeness by both Desiree and Rose. Rose even defended her subordinate's poor attitude when dealing with a disgruntled customer. Clearly customer service is NOT a priority at this location. I would say if you have a unique situation, your best bet is to seek out the services of an actually attorney because these people will just waste your time and then blame you for their lack of knowledge. I ended up providing them with the only custody document Family Court has on file and because the clerks at We the People don't know what to do with it because it's not what they're used to seeing, they have been sitting on my file doing nothing. Oh, and because they claim to be "afraid" of me, I'm a 5'2" black female ‍, they will only communicate with me through my mother which is asinine. I had some issues with Cal. state department and I needed some help and advice, so I called and a very nice lady answered and called herself Janie. I explained my case and she can help me. She wanted an hour to find out what documents etc, etc, She called me back gave me very important information what to do and did not want a penny. She could have asked me to go to her office and eventually charge me but she did not. I never met her or have been in her office. All I know is she helped me out when others did nothing. This is the worse place for anyone to trust with any important document. Turned in my documents to be processed and after over one year they told me they couldn't handle my case due to their software not being up to date and that no other office or attorney had the up to date version yet. Over five times they told me to give them a few weeks before finally admitting they couldn't do the case. It all turned out to be lies. It seemed they were the only office without the updated software. I took my docs to another office a few miles away and they prepared it within one week, ONE WEEK!!! I called one of their other offices and was told that there are many similar complaints from the Burbank office, and there is nothing they can do because the that particular office is owned independently by J. An interesting business model. Hire barely competent clerks, make sure they NEVER study anything about the legal basis of the topics, and teach them to say over and over, "We cannot give legal advice. We cannot give legal advice. Call the attorney listed here." You will get a worksheet to fill out (like 10 pages) and 10 pages of instructions. Fill out the worksheet and hand it in. They type your entries into a computer program that adds the legal boilerplate language, and they send you a legal document. You MUST call the attorney listed with All questions. WTP has no reference material or any websites to send you too for any further legal insight. That would cost a few cents more and erode their profits. This is dumbed down to the maximum degree. The only good thing: you avoid dealing with some dislikable full service attorney that charges you a high priced fee for the same crap. read more

I paid Jayne Bromberg to process a title change on a home in June of 2015. Service was responsive and helpful until monies were paid. Over ten calls have been placed to follow up on the status of my request. All calls have been refused and none have been returned. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated. At the very least, call me back to say you haven't done anything. I received a call today from Leanna asking me the address of the home for which the title was to be changed. Are you freakin' kidding me??? Four months in and you are asking for the address (Which I already provided back in June). I will be sending a letter of demand for a refund or going to small claims by the end of the month. I do not recommend this company at all!!! read more

We started the procedure with Moryah in July 2014 and recorded by court as July 2014. Moryah was very helpful & walked us through the process. It took 6 months for the office to type up the final documents which we signed, submitted & recorded by court in Jan. 2015. Then Anna called in June 2015 because of missing documents that needed to be completed & sign, we did. In July 2015, we got an email from Anna for another 2 forms needed signatures that were not on file. It seemed like Moryah and Jennifer have forgotten about our file. Not a good experience so far but it is cheaper than hiring attorney to do the job. Regardless, thank you Anna for your time in following up on this case. read more

I started the procedure with Moryah and it was very basic, easy...she helped me through the filing process. I paid We The People to prepare a small claims wage garnishment form. I paid $149.00 for the service & it took them 6 months to get "filed" copies of these papers back to me. During these 6 months, every time I called the office to get a status, I'd get the run around. Trying to get information about the status or the procedures of the process was like pulling teeth. I'd have to check the court's website to see any updates. While expecting them to call me with updates, I'd call them with the latest information and asked what the next step would be. They had absolutely no clue. It is not my job to keep calling them to give those updates and ask what the next step would be. I hired this office to do a service. It is their obligation to the client to keep the client as informed as possible, not wait for the client to call with updates. Finally, when I got the "writ of execution" signed by the court, I went directly to their office to pick up all the paperwork. I specifically asked what my next step would be, what I was supposed to have done, they straight out told me they had no idea. They told me to ask Jayne (the attorney) as to what I need to do next. I called her and she said I had to have the employer served. No one in that office told me anything about filling out any paperwork. I was under the impression all the paperwork was completed. Once, they handed over the paperwork to me, I paid an outside private processor to serve the employer, which in turn returned the same paperwork, indicating they were all incomplete & inaccurate. While flipping thru the pages, I noticed there were no court stamps, no court address and no case number information filled out. It's not my job to tell them how to fill out the paperwork. I paid them to do the services and they failed. I have been waiting to collect on this judgment for a long time, and dealing with incompetent people, just caused this to drag on even longer. Along with having incomplete paperwork, the writ was done incorrectly also. I had asked them how the interested was supposed to be calculated. Morya, the "assistant" said the court & the sheriff's office will figure all that out and fill out the information in the writ. Well, the court didn't, neither did the sheriff's office. So I also got burned on the interest that was rightfully mine. As for the incomplete papers, all the copies I got back from them were blank, with the exception of the Writ which had no daily interest calculation listed. So, bottom line, if We The People doesn't know what they're doing, then don't take the job!!! I am not happy with the outcome of what I received from this so called office. I have not gotten paid as far as the judgment is concerned, and who knows if I ever will since the papers were not done properly by the staff, which supposedly is "trained" in legal matter to assist clients with their legal issues. It is not my job to tell them how to do theirs. GET IT TOGHETHER, you playing with people's lives. I had to pay another attorney service to complete the paperwork correctly and re-serve the employer. I had to pay an additional $50 fee to get them corrected, and also pay $35 to the sheriff a second time to have it served. I requested a refund for all the non-sense and the running around I've been doing, basically doing their work for them, just trying to get this one thing done and they refused, as expected. I highly recommend if you ever think about using We The People for any legal matters...run the other way. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! They don't know what the hell they are doing! read more
