No wonder this place has a three and and a half star rating. The last time I was here they tried selling me an unnecessary waranty for my car. I think I wrote about that in the past so I won't get into it. This time around I came to get an oil change. I called several days before to get a quote for that specific service to be prepared for it expense wise, and quoted me $129 over the phone. (I should have gotten the name of the rep...sigh) Fast forward to the date of the appointment, when it came my turn, all of a sudden, it's $230 for the oil change. A hundred dollars more than quoted, along with other "suggestions" in addition to the oil change. The point is, either this place is shady and they over charge people for services purposely or their service department does not know their own prices. I don't know which is worse. I already have a shop that I go to for basic maintenance. I just came here today because I wanted to check and get a quote on getting one of my doors actuators fixed/replaced. Thinking it would be good to get mechanical and electrical problems replaced at a dealer so that I have paperwork when the time comes to sell my car. Not anymore, at least not at this location. I had a great relationship with BMW Burlingame back when I used to live near there. As for this location, I don't trust it, they look like their just looking to make money whichever way they can. This will be the last time I go here for anything. There would definitely won't be a third. Lesson learned. read more

I been going to this place for a little over a year now. Since I moved to the bay. I went for some services last month and I was very disappointed. They gave me a rental car as they took my car . That part was fine. The part that made me mad is literally I had the car for 6 hours and I came back to return it to get my car and they claimed I made scratches on the wheels. And charged me $225 for minor scratches. I literally drove the car home and back to them. Then they said they were being nice and would only charge me half of that price. Are you kidding me ? I'm a loyal customer since we purchased a BMW. And they just wanna mooch off more money for a scratch on the tire that I did not even do. I couldn't argue back and forth and I ended up paying for it. Making a decision on my first car purchase in 20 years involved a ton of my own research, leveraging the research of others, and evaluating more than a handful of options in my budget for a Certified Pre-Owned crossover / subcompact SUV. The service delivered by James was excellent: he did not waste my time, he answered all of my questions, he offered to show me other cars but did not obnoxiously try to up-sell me after I declined. He really listened to what I wanted, my concerns, and spoke to my personal needs for data and a balance of information, as well as treated me with appropriate respect in meeting my negotiation style with understanding and grace. Weatherford BMW has done a fabulous job of reengineering their sales processes so that buying a car is significantly more pleasant that it was pre-Covid. Other than the test-drive everything happens outside of the dealership, which is fabulous. After I test drove, I went home, communicated a bit more with my advisor Raoul by email (although texting would work too for those who prefer it), and then completed the application and signed everything at home. My time at the dealership was a total of a half hour, including the test drive, which is how auto shopping always should have been (covid or no covid). I'll never buy a car the old way again. My experience here was unacceptable. I scheduled an appointment to have my parking cameras checked and my brake fluid flushed. The day of the appointment I arrived shortly before my scheduled time of 8 AM. I explained the system warning related to the cameras and dropped off my car, agreeing to pay the $235 diagnostics fee, for the camera issue. Later that day I received a text message stating that they were unable to get to my car and that they would look at it the following day. I respond stating no worries, just give me an update tomorrow. Next day passes and I receive another text message, around 4 PM, stating that they still haven't been able to get to my car and that "hopefully we'll be able to take a look tomorrow." At this point, I responded, via text, that there is no need. I'll pick it up tomorrow and take it to German Auto Sport here in Berkeley. Within 20 mins there was a follow up text stating that (a) the car was up on the rack being inspected and (b) they could take it down if I'd like. I chose to let them continue now that progress was being made. Faster forward to the next day (day #3 of having my car). Around 8:30 AM I received a phone call that the technician needed more time to diagnose the camera issue and that it would be $330. This was on top of the $235 I already agreed to pay for diagnostics. I asked the service representative what the original $235 was for, to which they responded "diagnostics". Diagnostics that resulted in zero insight? So at this point: (1) They've had my car for 2 days w/o any meaningful update, even though I scheduled an appointment in advance. (2) From my perspective, they only started prioritizing my car once I mentioned taking it elsewhere. (3) They want to charge me an additional $330 on top of the original $235 that netted out zero info. In the end, I asked that they pull my car down and have it ready for pickup within the hour. To their credit, they had the car ready and agreed to not charge me anything for the visit. I ended up taking my car to German Auto Sport in Berkeley. It was a positive experience and the maintenance was handled within a single day. read more

I've had a few BMWs and been to several Bay Area dealerships in my life, and I have to say this is the worst dealership ever! Their Service Dept does not even begin to understand customer service. I made an appointment by phone to bring my car in for an oil change and arranged to have a loaner car. But when I came to drop off my car, my advisor Lawrence said they don't give loaner cars out for just an oil change and you'd have to have a service that took at least 4 hours. OK. Then why didn't the person tell me that on the phone when I made the appointment? He quickly blamed it on the call center person I spoke to. But I even got a written confirmation email (see screenshot) that says "oil change" and "alternate transportation"! He didn't care and said it was the mistake of the other dept. But instead of blaming another colleague, I said that shouldn't matter because in my mind you are ALL Weatherford BMW. 1 company. 1 brand. This is what I call a customer experience defining moment. At this point, he could have owned up to his company's mistake by apologizing on its behalf, say "look while we don't normally give loaners for an oil change, we'll make an exception this one time as a professional courtesy", and offer to find me a loaner or perhaps comp me for my Lyft ride to get me on my way to work. That would have been the right thing to do. Nope, that didn't happen! Instead, he becomes very short with me and just repeats their same policy for loaner cars with no real resolution. How was this my fault? So I asked for my keys and left. They have lost a customer for life. It's clear if you read the reviews from others like Stacy L, Terrilynn C, Alessandra E, Carmella C, Ryan W, Lisa C, Heather L, Mario J, Anthony G, Lexie I, Garrett L, Sandy Y, Nithin K, Roger D, Raul M...the list of 1 star reviews goes on and on below. I arrived promptly at 7:40 only to be informed that a simple oil change would take multiple days. Without a simple apology, the representative told me they were backed up and had been for several days now. What's the point of making an appointment? Appointments are supposed to work both ways- to let the business know you're coming AND to let the customer know when to expect service. It seems like a one way street here. On a previous visit to this location for routine service, I was informed that my car was ready for pickup, only to wait in the lobby for hours- hours!- for the car to actually be given to me, again without an apology. It was only after I repeatedly flagged someone for help that they brought the car around for me to take. Worst car shopping experience. Ever. Even worse than Concord BMW, and that's saying a lot. I took the BART from San Francisco into Berkeley and they had a shuttle that picked me up from the station. I test drove two BMW 335i convertibles and was seriously interested in purchasing one of them. I made a low, but not unreasonable, offer. The manager came back with a fairly high counter, and I counter-offered a reasonable middle point. He said he needed to check, got up, and walked away for about ten minutes. I just sat there, twiddling my thumbs. He came back and said something like "I don't think you are serious about buying this car. Thank you for coming by." He sent me off. No discussion. Oh, and by that point, it was just past closing time, so the shuttle stopped running. I asked if someone could drop me off at the station, and they refused. I had to take a taxi back to the station at my expense. My good friend had the exact same experience - he made an offer on a similar 2007 335i Convertible and was laughed out of the store by the same jerk. In the end, both my friend and I bought almost identical black 335i hard-top convertibles from a different dealer at a LOWER price than we had discussed with Weatherford - proof that our offers were not unreasonable and that we were indeed serious about buying. Maybe because we were young they didn't take us seriously, but between the two of us they lost about $120k in sales. Don't waste your time with these jerks. She is straightforward, honest and upfront. From her pricing down to the little money details that we all worry about every month when the car payment arrives in the mail (or your inbox). I badly wanted to trade my sedan for a nicer, newer coupe. She said that the car color combo that I wanted had to be ordered and with the 0.9% APR that she promised to lock in for me, who could resist? After a whole month of emailing, I came in to the dealership and we worked out the numbers. I was in and out in less than an hour, and no, I didn't end up trading my car because if there's anything that this recession has taught me, it's: Don't spend more than you earn. I bought a bmw m235i from this dealership in 2015. I financed and bought the 3yr(?) extended service package and gap insurance. At this time I was told I could cancel the extended service (and gap insurance) at any time for a prorated refund. Unfortunately I had to sell the car six months after purchase. In preparation, I contacted and had several convos w/ this dealerships Finance team, who told me the order of operations didn't matter (canceling extended warranty and getting refund for gap before vs. after selling vehicle.. didn't matter and I'd get refunded either way way). This was a total of ~$3,000. Basically their finance team intentionally gave me bad guidance. I sold the car, and they then balked on the refund saying that the services transferred to new owner. Now this may seem obvious to you. But it wasn't to me and their intentionally bad advice caused me to eat $3000 (not to mention the immediate depreciation of vehicle). They then became unresponsive to me over ~5 attempted outreaches. Will buy another bmw, but NEVER from this dealership, and I encourage others the same. Very unethical practice. read more

The Dopest Service you could expect from BMW! If your car ends up at Weatherford for any reason, ask for KARSTON!!! My car was dropped off here for further service, after being serviced at experience Auto Body in Oakland (they were out of loaner BMWs, so they comped an Enterprise rental truck for me...which was cool). After fixing the issue my car was brought there for, it turned out I also had an emergency brake issue...which was not diagnosed at I came at the previous repair shop. At this point, I was just ready to take my car home; but, not only did they offer me a loaner again, they fixed my car within the promised turnaround time...which was ambitious to begin with...and Karston kept me posted play by play the whole time, via text and phone calls! When I got my car back, he had it detailed, inside and out (including the tire shine, that most shops don't find important!). He also coordinated my pickup with the repair and quality check team! As you know, when your car's in the shop, it's like waiting to hear bad news from a physical evaluation from your doctor...just uncomfortable! I go here for any factory recalls and they will do a decent job. Service is friendly but otherwise... why spend TWICE as much for repairs? My independent BMW mechanic is not cheap but he is half the price of Weatherford, so by my math Weatherford is roughly $250 an hour for labor. OUCH! Why did you let me make a service appointment with you today if you can't work on it until tomorrow?Just let me know when you can work on my car and I will drop it off then. I'm sure Service Advisors would do that for their friends and family, but I'm not either, so I'll find out after I show up. Every time I make an appointment I show up on time but yet the Service Advisor is no where to be found. I can see 20 to 30 people working but they are not my advisor, he's always late to the appointment. They also make it a formal process but yet he's late and they can't work on my car until tomorrow; so I think Weatherford can do better. So the service could easily be improved but they don't care. Take the time to fill out one of their "how was our service" inquires and you'll get a response back that basically says "we don't care". I am very thankful for the new BMW online system! With the shelter in place order still in effect and my current lease ending; online was my only option to get a new lease. I picked out my X5 online and the entire process was handled via email, docusign and a quick call from the finance department on the day of my appointment to verify everything. When I arrived at the dealership I only had to sign a couple of DMV documents and was able drive away with my new X5 in under 20 minutes!
