I have to agree that Jake is a scammer. When we spoke he made everything sound like it would be completed and sounded fabulous! Well, not so- I sent a downpayment for the site and never heard anything so I sent him a note. He was on vacation with his kids, ok so then I still never heard anything and sent him a note. He said send me the pictures and info for the page, I did and still no word back. I emailed again and he said, "lets get this going". Great, but he never did well after that I was in a serious rear-end accident. There was no way I could use the website for my job because I was in a lot of pain, and could not work. I sent Jake a note telling him and since he did not complete any work on the site I ask for a refund. I was willing to compensate him for the inconvenience again no respond to my notes. Finally, he tells me he has very little money coming in and could only do a small amount each month. OK, I understand so I suggested $50 a month well once again no response to my notes. (ever-no respond to text, emails or call) I don't know what his issue is he has a website advertising his work. He takes the deposit but does not do the work. Maybe a scammer, and even though it is a small amount I am going to fill out the forms for small claims court to get my deposit back. This guy is a complete scam artist, he will talk to you about how good he is but he will never come through. He was supposed to have the site completed in 6 weeks, never happened. He has no web development skills, he never made one deadline, he didn't complete the project, and every time we were supposed to get together for a consultation he had a headache or his daughter was awake. He is horrible, please don't waste your money with this guy. I wish I had read these reviews prior to sending him any money ($1000.00). If I could give this 0.1 stars I would. He talks a good talk and makes it sound like a dream come true, but don't waste your time. Promised to build our website in a few days, that turned into 4 weeks and then we never heard from him. We called him few times just asking to talk and he did not answer our calls or texts. I paid $300 for a website that he put up on his server with no products no functionality no nothing. I paid for the responsive theme from his theme forest account. He made us think he only gives the password to people he trusts but its all a scam to make you feel like there is real work ethic. Always gave excuses why he was taking so long. I had to find another company that could do all the back end coding. We also bought plugins that cost $350 and gave him the code for woo commerce dynamic pricing and he still couldn't get it done.
