This brewery had been on my list and finally got the chance to visit. Located about a block off the main strip awaits a small but welcoming tap room. The bartender immediately greeted us and walked us thru their menu which was sour/gose heavy, to our excitement! My friend and I shared a flight to try a variety of the offerings. Had great conversation with the employees about the brewery, the beers, and some of the cool events they have hosted. The beers are off excellent quality and the bartender was very nice. We tried five beers and each one was very good. They specialize in sours, and I'm not usually a fan but the sour we tried was bright and clean tasting rather than sweet and fake. They don't have a huge selection of beers as compared to some breweries, but the quality is top notch. read more

This is another brewery that is located within walking distance of the Saint Pete brewery as well as cycle brewing. This was our last stop four breweries in the downtown St. Pete area. It's hard to put it into word but this location just has a very warm and welcoming vibe. We were immediately greeted when we entered And truly just one of the most genuine greetings. There are lots of pieces of artwork that is available for customers to purchase but lots of areas to spread out as well as the bar area. There was not as much outdoor seating and part of that is probably due to the location. We really wanted to try the cat drool beer but unfortunately the keg blew right as we were trying to get a sample of it. And unfortunately I cannot remember the two beers that we ended up getting but they were delicious! I also failed to take a picture of the menu here! LOVE this place! I co-worker introduced me to Overflow about a year ago and I have been in love ever since. My friends and I mapped out a walking brewery day and hit up many other breweries in this area. All of us agreed that Overflow stood out as one of the best breweries of our entire trip (we visited 16 over the course of three days). We got a flight of every beer they had on tap and were able to try everything. They really had some unique flavor combinations including one with greens in the name that I can't remember but it was a favorite of many of us. I really enjoyed my trip to Overflow Brewing Company. I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon while in St. Pete. This was the second craft brewery I visited that afternoon, and I'm glad I stopped in! The brewery has a great vibe with lots of choices. I sat down, ordered a flight, and I have to say - they were all excellent! You can't really say that about everywhere. The beer is GOOD. Quite literally stumbled upon this place when me and a friend were walking our dogs. We stopped in, has a good crowd, and ordered a flight. They're dog friendly (wooo!) and wow their beer is TASTY! What they lack in ambiance they make up with their beer. They could use cooler seats/ more natural sunlight (when the front doors are closed, it's a bit dark) and the outside space is limited. A nice patio out back and some cool decor could take this brewery and put it on the map. It's in a less busy part of downtown which makes it a laid back vibe and a hidden gem. Have been back once already, and plan to be back many more times! read more

This brewery, while located in downtown St Pete, is a few blocks further down from the center, so parking is relatively easy not to mention free. There are various areas with different seating arrangement: the counter at the bar, long table and chairs, small round tables, sofa in front of TV... so you can pick a place you enjoy to chill in. They have a good variety of their own brews, from kolsch to porter, as well as wine. Quite a few with fruit treatment, including adventurous ones such as a berliner weisse with beet, lemon and ginger. Like most Florida breweries, there's no food on site and you can order from food trucks or nearby restaurants (which there are plenty). The staff is really friendly, and try to work with me and offer samples to find something I like. read more

My fourth brewery stop brought me to Overflow Brewing Company, which had a really jibing taproom, with sweet artwork... but the beers left a lot to be desired unfortunately. Overflow is about a block west of Engine No. 9 on First Avenue North, and just behind the Morean Arts Center. Conveniently located in the downtown district of St. Petersburg where you're surrounded by bars, restaurants, and breweries is quite nice, since you can walk to all of them without having to get into a car. Upon entering through the double doors, you see the bar with their taplist. The left side of the blue-painted taproom was more sports lounge whereas the right side more of a regular sit-down area. Through the back doorway led to restrooms the production area and a hallway that had a lot of cool artwork. Overflow has a lot of cool paintings whether it be of the Beatles or Falcor from The Neverending Story. The brewtenders were friendly and laid-back, as they took our orders and had our beers served right away. While Overflow certainly has its own vibe and energy that sets them apart from neighboring breweries Cycle, St. Pete, and Green Bench, their beers were incredibly and sadly underwhelming. Having ordered a flight that included the Shifty Grifter IPA, Substitute Fluffer Hefeweizen, Sidewalk Luge IPA, and the Obvious Combo Sour Berliner Weisse, I was hoping these beers would definitely set apart from the competition. Unfortunately, this turned out not to be the case. Both the Shift Grifter and the Sidewalk Luge were dry, bland and bitter, lacking the juicy and citrus nodes you would normally get from most IPAs. The Obvious Combo, despite having pronounced watermelon nodes, was quite watery with not enough sourness to be satisfying. The Substitute Fluffer Hefeweizen was the best one out of the flight, with banana nodes and a hint of marshmallow, but felt it should have been fuller bodied. Being that Overflow recently opened, you could attribute the beers to trial and error in the brewing process, and maybe they weren't my liking whereas they have probably been the liking to others who have patronized. But being in an area heavily populated with venerable breweries up and down First Avenues North and South and Central Avenue, they'll hopefully get to the next level sooner rather than later. read more

Overflow is one of the many craft breweries popping up in St Pete and I recently gave it a try this past Sunday. The place is sort of divey, which is not bad but unusual for a craft brewery. The inside is very dark, but the tables on the sidewalk outside were much more comfortable to sample their beers. They seem to strongly favor sours, as about 1/3 of the menu is made up of them. I actually really enjoyed the sour I tried, but was kind of turned off by the fact that another 1/3 of the menu was out of product. With only a handful of beers to choose from, decided to move on after just the one beer. I would give them another try if they can get a better handle on keeping their inventory in stock read more

Stumbled upon this newer brewery on accident but was excited that we did. For starters the prices are great! $4-$6 for full sized beers. And a good variety. I forget the name of mine but it was a delicious coffee stout. They are animal friendly! Yay! And bartenders are friendly as well lol. They have bike parking out front. We were out riding bikes downtown when we saw this place. They have couches with TVs. And they have tables with a some board games. Very chill and laid back environment. This is a new brewery in Downtown St. Pete off Central. They have a focus on sour beers which is awesome because that's my current favorite type of beer. I wandered in last Sunday and had a great conversation with the bartender and owner as we talked about the growing local beer scene. They currently have a selection of their own beers as they brew them up, but the one I had that was a collaboration with Tampa Bay Brewing Co. featured kumquat and mimosa (orange) and was excellent! The guest taps were all great choices and the owner told me they intentionally try to have beers would be harder to find on their taps. Smart. The brewery itself is spacious and industrial. I definitely see myself coming back in the future for more beers and conversations with the locals. read more

This is the first brewery that has had a Gose I'm in love with. The going green gose is packed full of kale and spinach and other fabulous things and is sour and smooth and delicious and trouble if you drink too much! Definitely a beer for hotter weather. This is my love. The bartender on staff is my life - super friendly. I got there before my friends and had like a 20 minute conversation with him. He also helped me pick out my beer flight. I needed all of the guidance bc I am super indecisive- he did a great job getting me an eclectic mix of their best beers, and introduced me to the going green gose. Great place! read more

Great new brewery in St Pete, hasn't even officially opened yet (July 4th is opening) but they were open with several guest taps and 5 of their own beers on tap. The tasting room had a nice bar and the sitting area is designed to be like a living room in someone's home, nice and cozy. The thing that stuck out to me were the beer taps that were made from Legos, what a creative idea (see photo) I had the Palpable Innuendo porter that was a true porter style beer. Also tried the brown ale that was good as well. Great potential for a new brewery in St. Pete, looking forward to going back after they've been open and running for a little while and try some of their ipas. read more

I liked the server here a lot. Their Scottish beer was nice, though I would have preferred a pint instead of the snifter. They have a lot of sour beers on tap, but I'm not into sour beers so can't judge them. Wish they had some porter or stouts in a pint size. read more

We had a great experience here! Rainy day and beers just go hand in hand. They had a lot of sour beer selections, which I love. I had #3 and then had #7 (Pilsner). My boyfriend had Sierra fist and collapsible spoof. Ryan was very nice to talk to and knowledgeable!!! I will recommend this place to my friends and will totally be back for a flight! They also had many board games to play and amazing artwork. Some artwork is 3D if you use some special glasses they have behind the bar. Super cool. read more

The beer was absolutely amazing. I had the bread pudding beer and it was sooooo flavorful. The best part aside from the beer of course was Karla. She was an amazing bartender with superb service. She had tons of character and entertained the entire bar. Now back to the beer, after visiting other breweries in the area I would definitely give overflow the prize. Talkative, informative, knowledgeable, funny and kind. She let me try their two meads, which aren't my thing but are certainly fun to try. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed. It's typically not very busy in here. There's lots of local art on the walls, as well as a few couches and TVs. The beers: E. WATSON BROWN ALE: Light with notes of nuts, caramel and maple. It's not boring, but it's very drinkable. The perfect change of pace for IPA drinkers, or the perfect second beer for anyone else. Space Pants IPA: a smooth and blonde ale-y citrusy IPA? I'm impressed. SPACE FORCE GOSE: Try it! Tastes like a delicious, sweet tart Kool-aid sour Catawba apple cider. Absolutely wild. And the name? Can't do better. This brewery was perfect for our relaxing/chill day. The chalk board provided all the information typically seen alongside each beer. The staff were informative and very friendly/welcoming. I definitely took advantage of the touch tunes, which provided up to date music. There were a few TVs showing the rays game (we lost). The artwork displayed inside was very colorful and modern. Such a great local brewery in St. Pete! There are so many breweries in the area but Overflow stands out with their unique approach to fruited beers, sours, and goses. They do flights here as well and prices are very reasonable. They also have a great variety; there were several stouts, sours, and even a few IPAs on tap. They are animal friendly and there is plenty of 2 hour street parking in the area. They have awesome artwork for sale along all the walls and they have video games and other board games for patrons.
