Broke an axle on a 24 foot enclosed trailer with a race inside. 9pm on a Saturday night on a 2 lanes road in the middle of nowhere. 30 minutes dor fist truck to show up. It was detemined that truck was not sufficient to safely carry the trailer. Called another, larger, truck. Both drivers went way above and beyond to safely load the trailer on one truck, and the race car on the second truck. Whole ordeal lasted until 2am. Very knowledgeable drivers. The tow was expensive, but less than I estimated. Difficult and complicated tow that exceeded my expectations. read more

What a lifesaver this towing service was!! I had a blowout and was stranded in the middle of nowhere, and after calling several towing / roadside assistance companies, Webb's was the only to respond. They sent Josh to help me and he was there within 30 minutes. The service here is terrible. After towing my car, they broke one of my aftermarket speakers and claimed that it was like that when they got the car and refused to accept responsibility for their actions. The lady told me she would take my number down and have someone call me the next day about the damages since they were about to close and I never received a call. The workers were nice people, they weren't rude or disrespectful or anything which is why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1, but their work ethic and service is just terrible. Rip off. Almost a year after our accident and no word from them, found out there's a balance due and lein on vehicles, I even went to the yard and no one told me. Never received any sort of notification, and when I called they said they don't care if i was notified or not, or how, how it's filed with the state..and they want cash only. Wtf. This could've been paid immediately had someone told me something was due! I was in an accident on 11/17/14, a rainy day that was busy with accidents. The Lakeland Police called for towing and Webb Towing showed up to tow my car. On the 18th I went and picked up my plate and signed the paper to release my car to the insurance company to pick up my car and take it to their facility for an estimate. On the 19th the car was picked up from Webbs and dropped off at Coparts where pictures were taken upon arrival. All of my belongings were missing from my car. My brand new seat covers, stealing wheel cover, floor mats, glove box belongings, $200 pair of sunglasses. Jacks missing from the trunk. The car had even been vacuumed! Never use Webbs Towing. They are thieves. Even after calling them with the proof pictures they denied it all. They tried blaming it on Coparts who had pictures of the car TIME STAMPED coming in and pictures of the inside. I contacted Webb's towing yesterday to tow a RV from Lake Wales to Alturas, the experience I had with the driver and office staff was amazing. After the driver dropped off the RV, he left and ran through my ditch and snapped my culvert pipe. My property floods so all of these drainage systems are important with any kind of rain! We had updated the pipe because my husband works on heavy machinery and we have had the same driveway fro 4 years now, no issues. Anyways the driver realizing what happened came back and apologized profusely and asked if we would like a manager to call us. My husband of course responded with yes. The manager calls, Jessie Webb and is instantly rude and terrible. He informed us he would not be paying to help fix the culvert even though he admits it was his driver's fault. He told us the driveway was "po dunk" and he wasn't paying for s***. He told us to call the county and figure it out ourselves. my husband at one point stopped him and asked if this was a real conversation, we just paid this company $1310.00 to move a RV 20 minutes away and this is how we were treated. I have contacted an attorney and am filing a civil suit. I hope no one else has the experience I had with this company! The manager should NEVER EVER speak to anyone much less a customer the way he did us last night. read more

This company should know that their employee that was accepting phone calls on the night of Friday, October 25 2019 is extremely unprofessional and frankly rude. We called the Lakeland location on Main Street and got the total for the vehicle which was just over $300.00. He stated this was for gate and storage fees and the vehicle had only been there for that day and not even over night. He then said we would have to get the vehicle from them that night or it would be the following Monday before we could, and at that point they would charge an additional lofty amount of $90.00. When we expressed concern due to not being sure we were able to get my not very well elderly Mother (the title holder) there at this hour of after 9:00 pm, the employee in Webb's office proceeded to say that was not his problem in a very unprofessional tone. We told him we are on the phone working on getting the title and he hung up on my boyfriend who was on the phone. I then finished speaking with my Mother who was getting into bed, and she had to get up and get the title so she could then go out in the rain to get the title up to Webb's towing with my boyfriend and I. We arrived at the their towing establishment on Main St in Lakeland. We had to use GPS to get us to the address which we had to find on their website due to the fact that the employee at Webbs Towing would not accommodate us with the information needed to get there. My boyfriend was now in one vehicle at this point and my Mother and I in another. I explained to the employee that we got my Mother and the title and I just need to know where the actual office is located because we just arrived and we see a big building that looks like a warehouse but no office or vehicles. The employee at Webbs then cut me off from speaking and said let me get your total. I said you already gave us the total, we just went to the ATM and retrieved that cash therefor I am just asking your actual location in that office. He put me on hold and came back again with a total. I said we already had the total we need to know where your office is located because we are outside where the GPS took us at your address and we do not see anyone. He cut me off and said we needed to drop our attitudes or do not bother coming in there and furthermore it will be at least an hour to get the vehicle after we pay for it . I said again, I simply asked you where you are and that is it. He then replied saying I did not put you people in the situation you are in and do not bother coming here at all unless you change your attitudes. I responded with "did I say you did put is in any situation? no I just asked your location". He still did not answer me and hung up the phone on me. I called back and I said I am not sure where the confusion is here on your part, I asked where you are as we out here and I just need to get the car so my Mother who is not well can take her medication get to bed. He said we need to get a better attitude and then hung up the phone on me again. My Mother then called him back and she said to him that she is the title holder with the title in hand and we need to know where he is. It is pouring down rain in a storm and we just need to get the vehicle so she can take her medication and go to bed. He reluctantly gave her the location which was next door. My Mother went in and paid and we waited about 20 minutes and the driver pulled up and let us retrieve the vehicle. The lack of decent customer service is apparent here. His responsibility at this point as an employee of Webbs was to tell us where he was located so we could pay what is owed and retrieve the vehicle. This was also to eliminate the extra fee which would have been incurred if (as he previously stated) we had to leave the vehicle there two more days. This entire process could have been simplified had this representative of Webbs Towing just explained where exactly they were located from the beginning rather than deflecting by stating we had an attitude issue, when clearly it was the other way around. A situation of this nature calls for someone to act in a professional manner with no nonsense . Complete fail on the part of Webbs Towing from a customer service standpoint. They overcharge and then treat customers poorly. Myself as well as many of the professional friends and associates of my self, my boyfriend and Mother (which includes those that own a local automobile dealership) will never utilize or recommend this company. read more

Company had Webb's come tow my big truck to a shop in Lakeland. Driver finally arrived and told him I needed to be pulled forward about 100 yards to a level area to drop my loaded 42,000 lb. trailer. He stopped about 50 yards, reinterrated I needed to go up further. My buddy told him that the trailer was going to slide right when he pulled me out from under my trailer. He assured me it was safe and solid ground to drop trailer there so my buddy could hook up to it. Needless to say, he pulled me out from under my trailer and sure enough, my trailer slid and landed on my passenger side drive tires. If I hadn't hit my brakes my new 53' trailer would have rolled over into the ditch. Then my buddy and I had to help secure the trailer to prevent it from rolling over. He was told to take the truck only to the shop as my buddy and I were going to drop my load at the receivers and bobtail back to get his empty trailer 3 times. Needless to say, he hooked up to our empty trailer and towed it and my truck into Lakeland. I confronted him about that and he got on his radio and told his dispatcher he needed to call the Sheriff to our location as there was trouble. His supervisor came out and we told him the situation. Said they would knock off additional service charges and would investigate this further. Company said they will never use them again as they charged us an outrageous tow bill as well as not listening to my instructions. BEWARE USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! read more

My experience with Webb's Towing started when my RV broke down on I-4 in Lakeland. First when I called, the dispatcher had to call me back to find out when the RV tow driver could get to us. They called back and said four hours. So, we jumped in our mini-van and drove home. Then we were told that we would have to drive back to the RV because they don't do unaccompanied tows. So, when they called my husband drove the 30 minutes back to where the RV was broke down. My husband had to assist their driver in loading the RV...it is a good thing that we didn't need a lift...the tow truck had two bucket seats and the drivers son was with...so, no room for my husband anyhow. Then, after the RV was loaded, my husband headed to home...we got a call from the driver dispatcher...the driver was all mad that my husband took off and he wanted to follow him back to the house. THEN, they called my husband and made my husband wait on the side of the road for tow driver to catch up. The real fun started when the tow driver got to our house. Again, my husband had to help unload...and then out 375 tow was changed to being 495 dollars!!!!! I told the driver I disagreed with the price and I was calling his dispatch. Because I called his dispatcher, HE DECIDED IT NOW HAD TO BE CASH!!!! While I was talking to his dispatch, he rehooked my rv. When I refused to let him finish reloading it, he called the cops. My husband had to run to the gas station, pull money out of two separate accounts, and come back...because the tow driver had a hook on our RV the police called that 'possession". Use this company at your own risk. They don't track their time, charge out at 150 an hour, claim it will take them twice as long to get back to their shop, and force you to cash pay AND call the police if you don't have the absurd amount on you. read more
