I have a special place in my heart for anyone or any organization that cares for helpless…read moreanimals....especially pets that need a home! The people who run this organization are incredibly charitable and put so much effort into these dogs and cats. I recently visited and they had three dogs available. They were happily running around inside their enclosures outside under the shade of the tree. There were lots of other dog runs/kennels that looks much smaller, but also like they were no longer in use. There were not a lot of animals to choose from-but maybe that's because they all found homes or were in foster homes when we visited. Hopefully that's the case-and they are getting closer to their goal of No More Homeless Pets!

They truly are concerned about pets. I have so much positive to say about Rhonda and Second Chance…read morefor Homeless Pets. I've adopted three kittens from them. The kittens were always very well taken care of and you could tell that they came from quality foster homes. Very reasonable, adoption fees, spayed, and neutered and current on vaccinations. I've also had the pleasure of fostering kittens with Second Chance. The owner does what she says and supplies you with everything you need to take care of the animals. The commitments are not long and she is able to take the animals back as promised and on time. I recently was in there, and there was a woman trying to adopt a dog. It was obvious the woman did not have a home. The owner was not going to allow the woman to adopt the dog because she did not have a safe place for the dog to live. Although the woman was very upset, the owner was very professional and kind as she explained that she could not in good conscience adopt a pet out that didn't have a safe environment. percent she is concerned about the welfare of the animals. I will always refer people to them whether they're in the market to adopt an animal or if they're interested in fostering or volunteering there it's a great place with low overhead and a lot lot of love.!

Paws for Life gave me Medication for my cat without the license to do so! I had to go through the state to find out! Almost killed him! Then called me a bad owner, and wanted the cat back to cover up their mess. They recommended 10x the dosage for his weight! Happy I went to a real vet! crazy how I haven't seen anymore cats from you guys after I reported you!!! Even at petco!!!! I'm so psyched! But also turns out I'm not the only one who reported you. They also lied and failed to tell me my cat had feline herpes, along with all of their cats in the shelter!!!!!! Can't make that stuff up!! Fast forward, after I stopped giving him your "recommended dose, even if he's looking not good" he did a total flip!!! You should have your business shut down!! You people are disgusting. I've only heard horror stories from everyone around town after this.

They give you all the info you need for adopting for the first time. All vaccination shots for the pup were administered except for the rabies shot, as that has to be done over 4 months old. In addition, our pup was also neutered. A great place to find your forever pup/dog!

The lady would only take the kitty after my friend offered to give her money. It was a 2.5 hour journey to Trenton from our town. Soon arriving we met Mellissa at her front door. I was looking for a beautiful building that has been shown on the web site. Before handing over the kitty we wanted to see the facility. She had us go down a short dirt road behind her house. We wanted to look at the other kitty's . Mellissa said be careful going in because they like to escape. Mellissa went in first and then my friend and then I slid in last and closed the door. The smell knocked the breath out of you. It was dark. I turned my light on on my phone because there was no light. As I scanned the 10x12 brick room I was in shock. 60 to 80 cats living in there. Blankets on the floor. The first kitten I noticed was a little black and orange laying there. I picked her up and she was covered in diarrhea and her eyes were closed up. I ask mellissa if she was going to the vet soon. She said yes. I knew that was a lie. As I scanned all the cats had eye infections, respiratory infections, injuries. I was in such shock that our ride home was solemn, and the only visiting was about how awful people can be. People need to stop giving this sanctuary money and the cats need taken and she needs to go to jail. Period!!! We are working on this. Please don't give her cats. The money is going to her own fun. They say this is a slow process because animal cruelty is not a high priority.
