Probably the worst experience I've ever had working with a car dealership. Top to bottom horrible service. Where to even begin... First we waited hours for the business mgr to finalize the transaction (2023 Nissan Altima 50,000 miles), only to drive home in the dark and discover the car hadn't been cleaned out - let alone detailed - after being told it would be. Also absent was the extended warranty document, which we were also assured we'd be given. I had to call multiple times to finally have that sent. Multiple issues with the car were then discovered over the next couple days - this after being assured by the salesman that it had passed a rigorous certification process/inspection and that the dealership "wouldn't sell a car that wasn't safe, road ready, or in need of a bunch of work." It was like I was an idiot for even asking. Well, low and behold, the following issues were all identified by two separate mechanics days after bringing it home: 1) Dead battery (which I unfortunately discovered while out running errands:() , 2) Completely Shot brakes on front and back, 3) bent front left axle causing bumping sound, 4) back passenger sensor/electronics failure. 5) On top of all of this, they sold the car with 4 mismatched tires, which was something my mechanic said should never be done on modern cars other than as a very short term fix. I didn't realize it at the time. When I called the dealer with these concerns, the salesman mainly wanted to argue with me, saying most of these were "wear and tear" issues the dealer wasn't responsible for. On the brakes, he quoted some supposed internal initial inspection report, saying there was still 6-8 mm or something left on the brake pads - this despite the fact that I sent him video from another dealer/mechanic showing there was no pad left. Fortunately, the car came with the Ford Blue Choice 3 month warranty, so I felt I had at least some kind of recourse/protection. Anyway, the salesman eventually told me to bring the car back so they could look at it. The repair supervisor then called me back that afternoon with a quote of around $2000+ to replace the front and back brakes and battery. The "good news " was the bent front axle would be covered under the extended warranty. Yeah! I, of course, would still have to pay the $100 warranty deductible. When I demanded that the brakes and battery be replaced without additional cost to me, the matter was escalated to the manager (whom I had unsuccessfully attempted to contact previously by the way.) I was then told by the service coordinator that the mgr had agreed to replace the battery and back brakes only, insisting that the front brakes were still ok...(Really? So then why were you going to have me pay to replace them?!) .As far as the mismatched tires were concerned, the salesperson scoffed and said a 2023 car was perfectly safe with 4 mismatched tires, and the different tread patterns etc., would have zero impact on the cars internal components or drivability. Both of them acted like they had done me some kind of favor and I should be grateful. I asked to talk directly to the manager. There was of course no one to be found, but I was assured he would call me back asap. I was so pissed off at the whole crappy experience that I paid the $100 warranty deductible and left. I, then, over the next month tried to get in contact with the manager. He finally called one afternoon while I was in a meeting and left a message, stating that he was on his way out the door but would get back to me asap. Yeah right. Nothing. I called multiple times after, always being assured by whomever I spoke with that the mgr would call me back pronto. Never happened. During all of this, I was still able to text with the sales person, who would answer eventually and also told me repeatedly the the mgr would call me. When I asked the salesperson about still needing the back passenger sensor replaced, he stated, "there is no way you would know that it went out." I said, "it shows right on the front dash!" He then gave me the 800 number for the blue choice warranty program and told me to take it to a Nissan dealer for the repair... Anyway, I've given up on this place. Terrible. Embarrassing. Sad. I'd never go back there. Ever. read more

The service department is ridiculous and I hope anyone considering having repairs made on their vehicle will read reviews first. I have a 2014 F-150 (it's old with lots of miles but still a good running truck!) The ignition would spin but wouldn't catch to start. Had the truck towed to Weber. We were told that there would be $199.00 diagnosis charge and we agreed. The problem was the Fuse 27 on the fuel pump and required a fuse 27 relocation kit. For the repairs and diagnosis, I paid $488.00. I picked up the truck yesterday and now it won't stay running and has to be driven 2-footed to keep it running. Took it back to the dealer and was told that the truck was brought in with the diagnosis that it wouldn't start and it now starts so they fixed the problem. Really? And we were told that it was an "old" truck so they had no idea what else may be wrong with it...BUT, if we leave the truck and they determine that it's not something that they did, there would be another $199.00 diagnosis fee. Also, we were told that the truck was not test driven because there was no need.....it started so that was good enough for them. I can imagine that they were pissed off that they tried to "upsell" us on brakes and a tie rod and we declined at the prices that were quoted as they were ridiculous! Now, we are out $488.00 and have a truck that won't stay running but we will find someone "reputable" to do a proper repair! Just wonder if George Weber stands behind this kind of service? read more

Wanted to post an update to let people know the head of Customer Service called me, and we spoke. I was not thrilled with his outlook on service for older Ford branded cars ... nor his attitude but we did work it out toward the end of the call. I did take my car there and they did a great job on it. They still are NOT giving any consideration to letting their customer know how long they will need the car... you are just supposed to guess... They know what needs to be done and their workload... but giving you a time frame and hinting at how long you might need to use Enterprise is just an afterthought to them or they just do not care... oh we will call you at the end of the day... well that is too late to get a rental.... from my first experience of being without a car for 3 days... with NO WARNING... I reserve a rental with Enterprise automatically.... I have never had car service like that before Weber. Their question is always "Do you need this back by the end of the day?" Uh, well, OF COURSE, then you call, and it is not ready until tomorrow or the next day.... Just look people in the EYE and tell them when to expect the vehicle SO THEY CAN PLAN! The mechanics deserve knowledgeable and empathetic assistants because the mechanics are great. I base future buys on current service. read more

Deceptive charge card charge. If you don't carry about 2-5 thousand dollars, don't go to Weber! They fixed my Ford and I had the invoice saying it was going to be $1398.21. That alone is enough to pay but when you check out they put an extra price for using Credit Cards! I do business with a lot of people and no one told me that I had to pay a fee for using my credit card. Not in writing anywhere! So I have to pay $41.01 more with out being told that there is a charge. If you don't disclose the information and I agree with it by signing it, why do I need to pay this? Good OLD O'KIE DOKE! I won't be returning to them, they said it was on the door but they prop the door open. They said it was at the check out but with hundreds of ads and other stuff I didn't have time to read every little piece of paper under plastic! I was rushed out and not even the gal that checked me out didn't disclose anything about using a credit card and being charged 3% for using it. Deceptive practice. I'm not sure everything was done since they didn't give me my old parts! Take my advice and like everyone has told me not to go to the dealership for service. Find a good honest mechanic and stay with someone who can be trusted!!!!By the way, the review before mine said that they have a policy not to work on 2012 vehicles, that is the year of my vehicle, another deception??? read more

Worst service department I've ever encountered (and I manage a fleet of work trucks). Do not trust the service technicians to work on my lawnmower let alone my truck. Rear differential had a visible leak, they clean it off and said they couldn't validate the leak. Told me they'd charge a $99 diagnostic fee that turned into $450 charge for not fixing the issue. $450 is what it should have cost to fix the leak. Now I'm taking it to Auffenberg in Ofallon to fix the same leak for $50 deposit under my extended warranty. Just go to Auffenberg and do not deal w these crooks. read more

Bought a car from them for it to be in the shop two weeks after, gave me the car back with it being hit while in their care, wheel bearing busted whenever that was never a problem, wouldn't provide me a rental for the time my car was in the shop and still till this day dealing with car problems but never call me back except the one time they did they called me a Karen whenever they are the ones who sold me a bad car that needs a new engine but fail to contact me back or help me solve this issue to where I'm going to different dealerships to fix this issue. DO NOT buy a car from the ford side of the dealership cause all they do is screw you over and let you deal with it on your own!! And yes I bought their in house warranty and that still did not do any help, do not waste your time or money with this place read more

I paid $413 for a rear diff service. I went in for rear diff issues(howling) I got my truck and invoice back and seen they removed the fluid inspected then re filled it. I drive around the block and notice the sound is worse. They did not correct. The invoice said it was "caused by" rear diff with water in it. "Everything appears to be in good shape" though. The tech came out and spoke with me and said it was actually caused by tires. That wasn't mentioned in the invoice. It says "tires checked and ok". Then he says it may actually be because of my breaks, those were also checked and okayed. All of these possibilities, but the invoice said it was "caused by" rear diff. They have no other explanation than I "submerged" my vehicle in water. When I haven't. I have premium coverage and Ford ESP and the original ford dealership I bought my truck from both said to leave negative reviews on this place until they refund me my money or correct this issue for free now. I called back Friday to speak with a manager and was told I'd get a call back shortly. I called back after "shortly" and found out the manager left for the day. I'm supposed to receive a call today, but it's noon and I doubt they remember me lol . I don't write reviews, but I'm stuck with a howling rear diff and an empty bank account i could have saved at valvoline. Valvoline will do your diff for 80 bucks btw. As a customer they really put it to me lol do not recommend coming here or buying premium coverage from ford bc they will find a way out of paying for anything on your vehicle. UPDATE They called me back to correct the issue. There is something wrong with it, but we don't know what is. I rescheduled it for Monday, but realized I can't pay for two repairs in a month lol squeezed the last dime out of me. Thank you for reaching out and trying to correct, but it's too late I spent $413 on my truck last week. read more

I would like to advise you that Weber Ford located in Granite City, IL will not honor published Ford Service Deals like "The Works" which is an oil change and tire rotation, plus. I found out the hard way by scheduling a service call using The Works promotion via my laptop. When I went to pay the tab I was charged for 2 additional quarters of oil. My Ford Ranger takes 6.2 quarts for an oil change. The promotion includes up to 6 quarts of oil. It doesn't sound like much but they charged me for 7 quarts. It isn't necessarily the money as it is the principle. I tried to talk to the Service Manager but he just laughed at the situation as he said the promotion was only good for up to 6 quarts therefore it couldn't be honored. All I can say is "Buyer Beware" but if you need to use their services get a full estimate before you proceed. It is small situations like this that give all car dealerships a bad reputation. Personally, I will never darken their doorway. read more

Though everyone was very friendly throughout the whole process, my car was sold to me with an steering wheel/alignment issue. After taking it back to the dealer two times, they politely did a wheel alignment and there was still the same issue of an off center steering wheel. Then I was told it was due to the road and other component versus them really digging in. After taking it to another shop I learned there was a mistake or something missed during there alignment and the wheel was never set properly. If you buy a car from them be sure you drive it well to assure there are no issues. I am still dealing with this and now will have to spend money to get it fixed. Everyone is nice, but that can only go so far. Listen to your customers and fix their concerns. read more

Buyer beware! Weber Ford must not have much faith in the used cars they sell. We purchased 2 used cars from Weber Ford (previously we purchased 2 used cars from Koetting Ford and had very good experiences with them). First car we purchased had trouble with the sale where we were over charged for the extra warranty (?) and we ended up losing money and we said we would never go back but we did and the second car purchase (2016 Explorer) one 1 key fob provided with no key inside it (you would think that they would check such things!!) and the complete undercarriage cover missing which protects the motor and the catalytic converter from water and debris. Hopefully we don't find anything else wrong!! I know that most used cars are sold as is but you would think that buying a used car from a large car dealer such as Weber Ford would be safer than buying a used car from a questionable used car lot. Very, very disappointed and would not recommend Weber Ford. read more
