I would have given a zero star but I don't think it would accept that. I've heard the "webuyanycar" jingle on the radio often but had never used them til recently. I did an online form about my vehicle & got a price quote I thought reasonable. So I made appointment to take vehicle in, took the day off & Wife did too so she could bring me home after getting a check for vehicle. First, they didn't seem to even know what vehicle I had, though I'd spent 20 minutes filling out form online & making appt???? Well it didn't take long for the sales guy to tell me online quote is worthless & then offered me 80% less then what was offered online. Yes 80% LESS. Needless to say I drove home burning a day off from work. They're typical scam artists. I will never use them again & hope this review keeps everyone from using them also. read more

I would not waste your time here if you have a car that has value. If you want to get a few bucks for a junker then maybe. I had to upgrade to a larger vehicle due to my father disability. Orginally I kept my Scion XB as a back up car. But after a year of it just sitting in my driveway we decided it didn't make any sense paying for the insurance or the personal property tax. I went online and put in my vehicle information and recieved an appraisal quote of $2600 which we thought was fair for a 2008 Scion XB with 94000 miles. The car has a few scratches here and there otherwise it's in great working condition. The appraisal said it was pending an inspection. I made an appointment and took the car. First red flag, it was an office complex. They had no garage or mechanics on site. We had to call the office when we arrived and two sales men came out. They were nice and professional. They walked around the car doing their inspection. We had to put a new battery in because the car sat for so long not being used. They picked up on that during their inspection which we told them yes it's a new battery and explained. They then took us on a test drive of the vehicle. Once that was completed we went up to the office and were told they can give us 1300 for it. Way lower then the intital online appraisal which was really low balling the value of the car. The sales guy went on to say because the battery was so new there were error codes and we would have to drive the car 200 miles to make sure the check engine light didn't come. He continued to say he's lost money on xb before and since they don't make them anymore there really isn't a market for them. We told him no thank you. He asked how much we would want for it and said that he can "check" with his manager. I forgot to mention that when we first went into the office the trainee tried to turn the computer screen so that we can see it and the lead guy said no turn it this way so I can see what your doing. My husband said that we wouldn't go below 2200. We had a private sale interest and an appointment with another dealership that were were quoting us higher. So the lead guy says that's reasonable and sits down and barley types. He then says well the will only go to 1800 and they aren't budging. My husband asked well if we put the mileage on the car and the codes reset what would they give us. The sales person begins to mumble well you could do that but the market for cars in the winter is not great so I don't know if they would be interested in it in another two weeks. Basically trying to pressure us to fold for their low ball offer. We walked away and the next day took it to CarMax who gave us more then 2600 appraisal from webuyanycars they were impressed with the condition of the vehicle and the low mileage. We spent over a hour at we buyanycars just to be low balled. The other company had us email pictures gave us a valid offer and then have us come in for an inspection in a real garage. We had our check in hand in less then a hour. If you want the cheap sleazy used car dealership vibe then by all means try webuyanycars. read more
