Where to start..... :) I can't thank the girls at Weddings 826 enough for everything they did. I went to many places, which I wouldn't recommend doing and this was by far the best place I went!!!! I tried a few places in Chicago, Ultimate Bride to name one... which I loved being rushed threw my appointment due to the sales women having a place to be after she was done with me...ha! I also went to a few places in Philly and still didn't find anything I loved. Weddings 826 met my every need! :) They have this amazing designer there "Angelina Bridal" who pretty much allowed me to customized a gown for me. They had an amazing selection here with so many types of gowns to choose from. But I fell in love with the simplicity of Angelina's gowns and the fabrics they made them out of. It was perfect! Plus you get to go threw the selection. I think it's great that they sell their gowns of the rack. It's perfect for the girls who don't have the 6-8 months to order, which happened to be a few of my friends and family members. :) They have the cutest staff ever, that treat you like a million bucks if you allow them! I did everything here. I got my gown, shoes, accessories, and bridesmaid dress-even though they only have one BM collection. I also did my alterations here. Maggie did an amazing job on my gown. I had flowers sewed onto my gown at the bodice area and had beading added. I also had her take it in a little and do a hem and a bustle for me. It fit like a glove and turned out amazing! I got nothing but complements on my amazing "one of a kind" gown and couldn't be happier on how everything turned out. I would highly recommend stopping here for an appointment. Jaelyn at Weddings 826 in Chicago is truly the best of the best. From the moment we started working with her, it was clear that she was completely focused on the bride and genuinely cared about making the experience perfect. She listened so thoughtfully, paid attention to every detail, and somehow knew exactly what the bride was looking for, sometimes even before the bride did! Jaelyn has the sweetest, most positive personality, and she made the entire appointment feel joyful, calm, and special. There was never any pressure. Everything was about what the bride wanted, what made her feel beautiful, and what felt right. Her kindness, professionalism, and incredible intuition made all the difference. As Yelp would say this store is as good as it gets! I am very very pleased with my purchase. The overall experience is great! Made an appointment and when I got there me and my bridesmaids had a private room with champagne and chocolate. They let us browse for dresses and at the end she asked my style and she picked a few on her own. They take the bride to a different room to change. That way you make an entrance every time you try on a new dress. It was really fun!!! Turns out I found the perfect wedding dress for me. I wanted a dress that would not be too flashy since I got married at the beach, but I also wanted to feel like a bride! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. Super friendly staff and the lady who makes the alterations is a real artist. She was really real with me and thanks to her advice, my dress was fitting me like a glove. Sarah was wonderful! Weddings 826 was the first place I went to try on gowns and I could not have asked for a better experience. We were the only ones in the shop trying on so it was very low key. Sarah had excellent recommendations of what to try on based on the few that we selected. She helped me expertly into each one and knew others that I might like based on what I did and didn't like about the ones I had on. I liked Weddings 826 because they had gowns in my budget ($1000-$1750). Sarah was very patient and willing to help. She also had excellent suggestions for veils, accessories, and alterations. I loved my experience at Weddings 826. I called it my one stop shop because they have it all! Suzi and Maggie were absolutely wonderful and made sure that I was happy with everything. I bought my beautiful dress, veil, and jewelry from Weddings 826. They were very helpful by suggesting other stores and products- such as the seamless Spanx! To add, Maggie was so amazing with the alterations because she wanted my dress to be perfect and it was! My mother and close friend came with me to all 4 fittings and were treated like royalty. I haven't bought my dress here, but I intend too. This is the kind of customer service and experience that I was hoping for, and Suzi and crew went above and beyond. I'm a terrible shopper to begin with, let alone for something that will be photographed a million times, and cost more than I even thought possible on a dress. They are so easy-going yet professional, they know their stuff inside and out, and make you feel like your the only bride in the world (at least for an hour). You have the whole place to yourself, they let you take photos, and they get that it's an important day. It's off the rack, but they also can order the dress for you. I need to agree with Amanda's posting about the illegal practices of this store. I purchased a dress here that they assured me was one of a kind, and was likely done by a small designer here in Chicago. They told me they couldn't possibly know who designed it as they get dresses "directly from the manufacturer and can't keep track". Reality is that they cut tags out of their dresses (read: illegal) and then lie about them being "originals". The dress I bought that I thought was "one of a kind" was actually an Allure dress. They charged me $1800 for a sample that retails for $1000 brand new. Incredibly shady. I would avoid this store. read more

I have had absolutely wonderful experiences at Weddings 826. My consultant was honest and helpful. She even assisted me with accessories for the gown I chose at the end of the appointment! All of the other girls seemed genuinely happy I had found my dress and asked lots of questions about my wedding. I have just started alterations and found Maggie to be delightful. She seemed incredibly knowledgeable and understood my concerns and requests. I am really looking forward to the rest of the process with Weddings 826. read more

I had a wonderful experience at Weddings 826. I did not buy my dress from them, I wish I did. I had my alterations done with them. Maggie was great! She worked around my schedule, she listen and always made me feel comfortable during my appointments. Even with all the changes I made, it was much more affordable and well worth it. Absolutely loved my experience here! Kayla was an absolutely phenomenal consultant, and she really helped me find my style as we went through the appointment. It was such a fun and empowering experience because she fit the samples on me really well, and she listened to us critique each dress and adjusted which dresses she was choosing for me expertly. Weddings 826 will schedule an hour long appointment for you with your dress so that you can try on veils to match your dress. I found this to be very helpful because I didn't realize that I wanted a veil until I purchased my dress. While it is possible to get a veil slightly cheaper online, I feel that the customer service was well worth it. Besides, I was able to wear my dress again! I would highly recommend. read more

If you like small boutique places with unique selections, which i do. This is the place to find a wedding dress or bride's maid dress. If you like big selections and have to try on 50+ dresses. This is not your place. One of the girls helping me try on dresses made one of the dresses by hand herself. It is a one-of-a-kind and I found that to be really cool.
