Although I didn't buy my truck from them they were very nice and didn't pressure me and even tried to find the truck I was looking for. They did find a couple but the miles were a little higher than I was looking for as I was looking for a truly "new used" truck with only a few thousand miles on it. That's not to say they don't have vehicles like that there on the lot, it's just I was looking for a very specific type of truck in one color so that makes it tough. Would definitely consider them in the future. They left me with a good feeling. Wish I could say that about other dealers I've been to. read more

Purchased a used 2017 Fusion from Weedekend motors. I went shortly before closing on a Monday, met with David Mannato and told him which cars I was interested in. My wife and I went back the next day, and he had those cars lined up outside so we can compare them side by side! We test drove them, and chose the 2017 Fusion. On Wednesday, we drove the car home. This dealership advertises card that are already sold on the website to generate interest in a vehicle and the dealership they they try to talk you Into another vehicle that they actually have. Also they play games with in house loans to secure financing. I was to be a co-signor for my niece but they wrote paperwork with me being primary to secure a low interest rate so they could meet the payment needs of my niece. When I questioned them about that at the signing I was told I was the co-signor and it was just the way the paperwork needed to be filled out. I am rarely this positive. I have just bought my second car from Joe Galuski at Wedekind Motors in Schenectady. The first car, a pretty red Sunfire, was a great ride, but it developed some undercarriage corrosion, and it made more sense, given the value of the car, to replace it. That was already in the cards and planned for; it happened a couple months earlier than planned. My working relationship with Wedekind, from initial purchase through maintenance work was entirely satisfactory. "Due diligence" pre-shopping made it clear that Wedekind's cars represented value -- more, better at competitive prices. And, I like the people there. So my wife and I ankled on 'round to visit with Joe. Says he, "How much do you want to spend?" Says I, "Better, I want a TCO per annum of X-amount." Joe runs down the inventory list, and his best-pick was on my (at that point, undisclosed) short list from checking the Wedekind website -- a Kia Optima. We took it for a test drive, and this stodgy looking middle class family car proved to be plenty zippy and a comfy ride. This was the beginning of a great deal. It continued. I had the old car to trade in; I was given substantially more than I had expected. I recovered more from the maintenance insurance than I had expected. In short, the final cost to buy the car was kept right on budget. What could be a nightmare -- buying a car, especially a used car -- has been made easy twice by going to Wedekind Motors. From initial sales through the whole buying process, I have the sense that my needs were understood and met. Based on previous aftermarket experiences, and the couple things I've had done to the new(er) car, I am reasonably assured my ongoing service needs will get that same attention. read more

I brought my car into Rich at the body shop, and was really impressed with his knowledge and approach to some body work. Instead of replacing a bumper ( the same bumper that two dealership body shops said absolutely needed to be replaced), he used incredible skill to make my car look like new. He was reasonable with price, and delivered nothing short of a great service. I highly recommend him and the body shop! read more

I have read other reviews of Wedekind Motors. Almost all were laudatory and mirror my own experience. I needed a car on a budget. From first contact with Joe Galuski through the handover of the car a couple days later -- all spiffed up and looking pretty; here I am getting juiced over a 10 year old compact -- this was an easy deal, made easier by a whole lot of people clearly dedicated to the principles of getting things done right and flawless customer service. It gets better: I had left the car in its new home while I went back to town to engineer the rest of this move; I came back to find the parking brake frozen in the "on" position. This turned out to be a mere nuisance, not a Big Problem, and the fix was no-cost. Wedekind Motors merits the appellation "Finest Kind". read more
