Unfortunately the horror stories about the service department are true. These guys screwed me out of $5,000. I was on a road trip and broke down in Benton due to shifting issues on the highway. I brought my vehicle in to Weeks and they told me the transmission was in bad shape and needed to be replaced. Pretty surprising considering it's a 2016 vehicle with less than 100k miles. I asked if there was any additional troubleshooting they could do and they told me nope, they were confident that was it. $3800 later I picked up the vehicle. Within an hour I broke down with the EXACT SAME issues I had when I brought it in. And the computer was even throwing the exact same code as before. Not only was I out the $3800, but I was stranded far from home. I had to find a place to stay, pay for a rental car, find a competent dealership to do the proper fix, and I ended up missing two days of work. Once at a dealership that actually knew what they were doing, they found an issue with the Powertrain Control Module, which is completely separate from the transmission and of course not covered by the new transmission's warranty. Ultimately this was a $600 repair and the vehicle has been fine ever since. I notified Weeks of everything that happened and they didn't offer anything more than an insincere "sorry for your inconvenience". They did not apologize for missing the PCM, choosing an extremely expensive repair without thorough diagnosis, or the additional $1k in costs I incurred by being stranded on the highway far from home. They did not offer a single cent to help pay for the costs I incurred due to their failures. They just kept repeating that they're "confident in their analysis." Who cares if you're confident in your analysis if the analysis is obviously wrong? My symptoms were literally unchanged after giving them $3800. I'd stay far away unless you also want to pay for expensive, unnecessary repairs and any additional costs that come from that. read more

Terrible service dept- go elsewhere for service! Service advisor very rude and needs to find a job that is not customer facing. My first time at this dealer. I pulled in front of service garage in front of dealer. Keep in mind the sign said service above garage - didn't say exit or entrance, but directly in front of dealer. The service adviser came out sarcastically and very rude unprofessional and said this is not a walk up service and was sarcastically laughing like I was an idiot. He could have easily said I was at was wrong entrance (need to put signs up for exit in the front, like most dealers). There was no reason for that kind of treatment. Have never experienced this before at any dealer. On the flip side your parts department very professional and courteous. I am here to have a part installed that I had ordered from the parts dept. Please train your service advisors to be customer focused and not rude or degrading when you don't have the proper signage. I will not be back to this dealer. I am in the market for a new Silverado that I am getting ready to order. Will not be here, which is ashame since I am local here in Benton now. I would not recommend to anyone to buy a vehicle that has poor customer service in the service dept. Also- I suggest to clearly mark your signs exit and entrance!- especially for people that haven't been here before. read more

Showed me a truck with 3 very low tires and a check engine light on. Refuses to fill up tires or read code before the test drive with a 7 month pregnant woman. Said they would accept a offer then calls back saying they wouldn't accept anything less than x amount $1,000 higher than previous offer plus TTL. Truck has several issues between wiper motor that doesnt work, check engine light, interior lights dont work, 3 tires going flat, and that just covers the safety side of it........... read more

WINS THE RECORD FOR WORST ATTITUDE, CUSTOMER SERVICE, MECHANICAL COMPETENCY, AND INTERNAL COMMUNICATION. TRUE STORY. Driving through Benton in our Sprinter Van we broke a serpentine belt. The dealer agreed to install one and upon analysis the tensioner was also broken and they didn't have one in stock but would be tomorrow morning before their parts supplier shipped one. I inquired about a non OEM part and they called back and said they could have one in a few hours and have us up and running. Great, I thought, until I picked up the car. The price had nearly doubled! I was trying not to be rude or too questioning but was informed the NON OEM part was much more expensive which I know NEVER HAPPENS. So after leaving I was a little annoyed and called the supply house that they got the part from only to find that they marked up the part 60% from factory list! Hosed! The worst thing is that it was NOT the right part! They ordered the cheaper inexpensive one for a vehicle without Air Conditioning, rather than the Heavy Duty one that my vehicle required. After the run around from the service manager I called WILL ZETLER the GENERAL MANAGER two times that afternoon to inquire for an explanation / remedy. NO RETURN PHONE CALL! Two days later I get home and look under the hood and my FAN SHROUD IS HANGING LOOSE IN THERE AND THE COVER IS MISSING! I call WILL ZETTLER the GENERAL MANAGER and he is totally rude and completely condescending. He says "with all those miles on that vehicle are you sure you even had a fan shroud on there when you brought it here?" He says "We are going to do NOTHING for you!" I'm in unbelief at being treated so condescendingly. He further says "What incentive do I have to even look for your fan shroud cover?" I can't believe I am actually hearing this form a general manager! Bottom line, their reputation is worth less than a hundred bucks. When I asked him why he never called me back when I left two messages he said, "Why should I call you back to listen to you complain!" I am not making this up. Don't go here - I was shopping for a new vehicle recently and left my vehicle to be checked out by them while I took home a Jeep Grand Cherokee overnight to test drive. The sales manager agreed to look at my vehicle so they could give me a trade in value. When I returned the next day, I indicated to the salesman that waited on me that I really liked the vehicle but still had not decided whether to purchase a Jeep Grand Cherokee or a Lincoln MKC from another dealer. The salesman told me he would prefer that I come back to Weeks last because they would give me a better deal than everyone else. I would never share any pricing from another dealer anyway, but found his comment to be ridiculous as the 2 vehicles I was considering were totally different. I ask him if I could get some pricing on the Jeep Grand Cherokee with a trade in value on my car - which is a very nice Lincoln MKX in mint condition. He then proceeded to tell me he didn't think he could give me any pricing without my commitment to actually buy from them. I told him that I could not commit at this point and that if I couldn't get pricing that day, I would not be back. He told me he would see if the sales manager would give him some pricing but he wouldn't promise anything. By the way, there was not one single other customer in the dealership and the Jeep I was interested in only had 48 miles on it and had been on their lot for a long time. He then went into to the sales manager's office along with 3 or 4 other salesmen where they seemed to be in conversation about this matter. The manger's office was viewable through glass windows. My husband was with me and we were both astounded that they might not give us any pricing. We are in our 50's and have bought many new vehicles but have never had a dealership hesitate to price a vehicle or give us a trade in value. These out of date sales gimmicks are insulting at the least. While everyone was in a huddle in the sales manager's office, we retrieved my vehicle keys and left. My husband was furious at the treatment we received and let them know as we left. It was an extremely strange experience. Little did they know, that I am President of a company that buys about 3 vehicles a year. We were looking for a new dealership to work with and thought that if it went well with Weeks, we might begin to purchase some of our business vehicles from them. Although we are not from Benton/West Frankfort, we are from a small town nearby in Southern Illinois and like to shop from local establishments. I have never been treated this badly at a car dealership and therefore, would never go back. Weeks sold me a used car in which I paid cash. The purchasing experience was great, helpful and friendly people. The day after I took the vehicle home the check engine light came on, I took the vehicle back and was told that there was nothing wrong. When the light came on again I took it to my mechanic and he told me what was wrong to which Weeks said that his equipment was faulty. I asked to speak to the manager and when I did he asked me "what did I expect, I did buy a used car". I told him I didn't expect a check engine light to come on the next day. He said they would check it out again. Again I was told that there was nothing wrong. I have been driving with "nothing wrong" for several months. Now I find out that the nothing wrong is something that has been going wrong for sometime but is costly and they did not want to have to pay for it and try to recoup it in sales. I would not buy another used car from this dealership. In fact, I would not take a free used car from this dealership. After you pay, they are done. read more
