Wegmens is THE SUPER supermarket. The great thing is that its more than a grocery store, they offer top quality hot/cold foods from pizza to sushi to make your own nachos. Their sub shop is my favorite, they give you quality ingredients and they don't skimp on the meat. I also loooveee the cookies and cream shake from the coffee shop. They use oreos and alot of it! Love coming here but I absolutely hate it. It's so busy I try to avoid anytime from 9am-9pm. And if I do come I have to take 3 deep breaths and say "woo saa" before entering the parking lot. Basically weekends are the worst times unless you go when they open because you'll lose your mind. Prices are expensive here compared to a Giant or Safeway but there are alot of unique items here. But all items here are fresh, top quality in veggies, produce, bakery, seafood, wine etc. I really come here for the buffet and food area but not so much grocery shopping. read more

I love wegmans because of its huge selection of food, beer and wine. I have always came here and walked away with more than I came in for. Sort of like Target but for grocery stores. I highly recommend checking out the precooked meal area. They have many great things to get and my husband and I will sometimes come here if we can't decide what to eat. That way I can get sushi and he can get pizza. I love the wide variety of beer selection that is offered so when I buy my dinner here I don't have to go to another store to get some decent beer. Also not there is a mini bar downstairs where you can buy more beer and wine. read more

Wegmans is a fabulous place to shop! WHATEVER you want, it's here. Well, not clothes. It's not a clothes store! But food-wise, it's as close to Harrods as we get here in the USA. Ok, maybe there's someplace more like Harrods the more elitist know about, but for mainstream America, it's da bomb! :-) The thing that set this Wegmans apart from others I've been to is they have underground parking. Boy, I wish I knew this when I schlepped from my car to the store in the pouring rain! Now I do. Next time I'm on the east coast, and shopping there, I'll park below. :-) Go! It's great! read more

This review is for the FLORAL department ONLY. I was happy to see that Wegman's Floral Department delivered within 15 miles (?) for orders under $500 for free. The florist department reschedule me with a couple times because of the winter snow dump we had a week earlier. They were friendly and helpful. When i arrived for my appointment, I was trying to keep it relatively cheap but was convinced that roses were better than carnations (sure.. i can see that) Whatever, i ordered the more expensive flowers anyway thinking that the pics i gave as reference points would work out... I had 2 tall arrangements with lilies, Hydrangeas and roses and some extra fillers and 4 short arrangements done (all white with some pink). I was somewhat disappointed in the results. Smaller arrangements (will post pics soon) looked like something I could do on my own - like hydrangea bombs spiked with lilies and roses - NOT very creative or floral. All priced for $470+. my additional flowers I purchased at Trader joes were hydrangeas and roses which actually looked better than what was made -- aka bombs with spikes.. Not thrilled with the arrangements and costs, but thrilled with the delivery - made my life SO easy. read more

I went to college in Rochester, NY and always shopped at Wegmans when I had money - this place is expensive for broke college kids. What I love about Wegmans is the Marketplace Cafe - the hot and cold food bar, pizza and wings. It puts Whole Foods to shame. This location has great beer and wine selections. I wish they had a store map in the grocery carts as this place is huge. Can't wait for the Germantown location to open next month. read more

I love Wegmans and am looking forward to seeing a new one open in Gainesville, VA. The funny thing about Wegmans is that it's kind of a Rorschach Test for people. How you see it reflects on how you see yourself and the world. Some people describe it as the "Disney Land of Food" and mean it in a pejorative sense and others mean it in glowing terms. If you are scarcity-minded and see the world in terms of lack then, you might not even want to go into Wegmans. You'll be focused on the milk being $0.05 more than some other store. If you love food and see it as the center of the best parts every culture on Earth has to offer then, Wegmans is like a giant art store waiting for you to express yourself through food. For me, this particular Wegmans has a nice layout. The flow is great and I've always found the staff to be upbeat, full of energy and very helpful. Don't know what a piece of produce is, or what to do with it? Ask! The food bars are great. I used to eat a big plate from their Asian food bar, but lately I've been on more of a French food kick and they can handle that as well. There are also great sandwiches and heat and eat items to take home as well. The butchery has a great selection and their assortment of sausages will make your grill say thank you! The cheese selection is very good. They have a great Mediterranean bar and oh yeah, they have staple goods too. Ok, so I've never bought Mac&Cheese here, but I don't buy that anyway. If all you want to do is load your cart with boxes and cans of "food," then maybe another grocery store is a better match for you. But if you'd like to accent your table with some great tastes, then this is the place for you. read more

Well the real test was having my brother tell me to pick up some mushrooms for Chinese food ....so I called when i got there....umm...there are only maybe only 2 types to pick from in AZ...here isles full of everything! As unglamourous as it sounds, one of my favourite hobbies is browsing stuff in Supermarkets. Yep, I love hanging out in Supermarkets. The bf introduced me to this place a few weeks back and to date, it is still my favourite supermarket (if only I didn't get lost so much trying to drive to it - the GPS is a little laggy sometimes)! After countless supermarkets, I finally found Digestive Biscuits & President Unsalted Butter at Wegmans! I had to restrain myself from doing a happy dance in the aisles. Most of the butter on the shelves here are of the Sweet Cream variety...which is well, sweet, and I prefer not to have sweet butter. PS: I recently found Digestive Biscuits in Giant too. Try these biscuits instead of Graham Crackers for your cheesecake base, you just might fall in love with them. read more

I love Wegmans there are so many great foods they sell from all over the place. Their cashiers and floor staff are helpful and provide assistance with moving heavy packages to the front of the store. The store is clean and well organized as well so you can get in and out. The food court is also a definite plus with a variety of choices at your disposal. There are only two things I don't like about Wegmans - the crowds and the parking. Unfortunately, I don't live as close to Wegmans as I used to so the only times I can really get there are on weekends - which is, of course, when everyone else goes. However, on to the positive... One of the things I LOVE about Wegmans is that it is literally the once place I can go and find everything on my list. Case in point - on Friday, I went to Whole Foods and Giant and neither had what I was looking for. Went to Wegmans and found everything I needed. Other times, I have to go to both Giant and Whole Foods to get everything I need. No matter what, in any case, I know I can go to Wegmans and get everything! I also love the wine shop - great selection. I personally like that it's down in the basement area, but they are actually now remodeling and it will be moved upstairs to the regular store area. I really hope that they find enough room in the main part of the store for all of the wine - I admit, I'm a bit skeptical so hopefully it'll be great (like everything else Wegmans)! read more

This biz is still growing on me, but one thing I love: the fresh cut produce section. I'm talking about bagged, pre-cut, and pre-washed veggies. These packages are lifesavers, especially on busy weeknights. My greatest find: ready-to-go leeks! As you know, leeks are an absolute pain to clean so this is just awesome. And they're good for quick stir fries and soups! Their spiralized veggies are still on the steep side, some costing as much as $7(!), so I would stick to just the pre-washed and cut stuff. This place is insane. I've never seen so much food in a grocery store in my life. Fairfax Wegmans is like the Las Vegas of grocery stores. There's just an obscene amount and variety of food there. There was an entire CANNOLI section filled with cannolis, cannoli chips, cannoli chips and dip, cannoli dip by itself- I mean how many versions of cannoli could a human being possibly need? And that's just one food item. Imagine this for practically every food item you can think of (within the American stratosphere of course). I became so overwhelmed that I walked around and around with an empty basket and couldn't figure out what on earth to buy. There was a Chinese New Years celebration on that day, complete with a fashion show, cooking demos, live dim sum and other Chinese food made fresh. The whole place is just a feast for the senses. I was excited but also annoyed because I wanted to buy the entire store but my stomach was too small for it. I ended up getting a chicken and mushroom dim sum bun, freshly made tortillas, coconut milk, and a slice of garlic white pizza (diverse enough?). Oh! And Shilla bakery was there handing out samples so I couldn't miss the almond buttercream bun!!! read more

This is a dangerously good place. Came here twice during my lunch break and each time spent about $15 because I couldn't pick and choose what I want from the hot bar. Since my last review several years ago, not much has changed here except prices and the continuing lack of a salad bar....which they eliminated during the epidemic and never replaced. Actually, compared to its rivals, most prices in the store aren't that bad, but the prepared-foods-section prices have simply become absurd. I saw a whole frozen turkey, just before Thanksgiving, for $96.00.....a number of prepared items sell for $40.00 a pound or more. And the Hot-Foods bar is up to $15.99 a pound now....as I remember, it was from $7.99 to $9.99 until last year. read more

This is more than a grocery store, it's an experience! They have an expansive to go deli area with hot & cold options, salad bar, & sushi bar. The sushi chef on hand was vet knowledgeable about which kinds were gluten free (the soy sauce packs are not FYI) and the sushi labeling clearly stated which ones contained wheat as an allergen. A helpful and friendly pharmacist, and good, not great, gluten free sections. The prices are higher, but if you have to expect that at a place like this. read more

The salad bar is a bit pricey, 8.99/lb. Some of the food is delicious but it's best to get it when they change the dishes to the fresh dishes. This store has great selection of organic products from food to household products. If you want to shop on the weekends, I recommend coming early in the morning and parking in the garage below. I despise this particular store in fairfax, mainly because of their customer service department. If you visit at 8.30am, even though it's the opening time listed on the back wall, they do not care to serve you, their staff are too layed back, wondering aimlessly around the store, telling me, that they are going to visit the restroom, while I'm waiting, soo annoying. I walked in for a refund, instead of giving me a refund, they charged me again, now they tell me that I need to come back into the store to sort things out, they have a new trainee there who can't do anything, and the manager is also useless. So have stopped visiting and am taking my business elsewhere. read more

Absolutely fantastic grocery store that I wouldn't mind driving the distance for. Wegmans surpasses my expectations in customer service, variety of produce along with a delicious hot food bar with plethora of options from bbq, asian, soups and salads. I absolutely love the quality of ingredients here and not to mention, everything is well priced unlike Whole Foods! They have both branded and generic items to choose from so it's unlike Trader Joe's. The layout is fairly simple, typical of many chain grocery stores but I find that Wegman's lures you in with the hot food bar to the left, the produce upon walking in and the right side of the store in typically where all the frozen, dairy and dry ingredients are located. Hot bar: Said this already, fantastic and very tasty! Not to mention they also have fresh sushi and sashimi on deck. Dessert Bar: My favorite of them all and please try the fruit tarts! I drive over 30 minutes just to grab their fruit tarts so I typically buy the large size since I go through it fairly quickly. Since this section is quite large you'll also find other specialty cakes, cookies and other baked pastries. Meat Section: They always have seasonal items such as kabobs in the spring/summer or dry aged meats. Flower Section a.k.a 'in house florists': Did you know you can ask them to make you a custom bouquet or arrangement....FREE OR CHARGE? The tulips are very cheap along with large orchids that go for around $20ish a plant (that's a steal if you ask me). Wine Section: Think of a mini total wine Customer Service: A1 and if you find you don't like an item, bring it back for a full refund! No questions asked. read more

I've been going to Wegmans for ten years now. It's by far the best grocery store in the area beating Whole Foods, Giant, Safeway and other stores! You cannot exchange the shopping experience here with any other. Also, I have done my homework and compared prices with nearby giant and Safeway. Prices are high and crowds can be rough, especially given a lot of Wegmans' patrons are completely oblivious to others, but you can't really blame them for their aggravating clientele (please don't park your cart sideways in the aisle as you peruse the salad dressing options for five minutes). Love Wegmans and never more so when I am too lazy to drive the extra five minutes to get to one in lieu of my local grocery store with its pathetic selection and lack luster service. I find everything I need at Wegmans at competitive prices with friendly folks there to help me out. Tops on my list are their bakery and produce sections. My favorite is their Marathon bread which I religiously consume for breakfast. If it was good enough for guys running 26 miles, it should be able to get me to work. My only complaints are that the place is mobbed on Saturdays and the ATT cell coverage inside is terrible although this last visit I was pulling four bars inside so maybe something improved. read more

If I'm in Wegmans around meal time I like to get a sub sandwich from their sub counter. They have various predesigned subs and also will make subs to custom order. You can choose from three different types of roles, meats, cheeses, a large assortment of toppings (e.g., lettuce, tomato, onions, mushrooms, hot peppers, pickles), mustards, dressings, and sauces. My favorite is the Wegmans Assorted Sub which has ham, beef, and turkey. I usually get the combo meal which adds a bag of chips and a drink. The have recently added a Coca-Cola Freestyle soft drink dispenser that allows you to choose virtually any Coke soft drink. I recommend the Wegmans Sub counter to anyone interested in a good, reasonably priced sub. read more

This store has everything I want and need, some prices are higher but that means you're getting quality organic and gluten free. Prices are higher at other local markets. Be careful if you go into this store hungry, you may end up spending a lot more money than you anticipated. I love their marketplace cafe and their sushi. I've gone in many a times and gotten lunch or dinner before commencing with my grocery shopping. This store literally has everything. Me and my fiancé we're working(we don't work for the store) tand sometimes it gets intense. We had a little argument and the manager came up to him and asked "is everything okay? Someone has said there was someone and his gf arguing". This blew my mind. Are people really that sensitive and can't mind their own DAMN business that they have to report it? You need to try Wegmans. I do almost all my grocery shopping at Wegmans and I am rarely dissatisfied. The store brand food is as good as anything on probably 80% of the items. The store is always clean and the staff is typically friendly. This particular Wegmans is often very busy- probably because it is so good. The biggest downfall I will say for this Wegmans is that their avocados are all usually pretty hard and not close to ripe. This makes it difficult when I want to make some last minute guacamole. I give this Wegmans 4 stars because of their produce being just not quite as good as some competitors. But otherwise, the prices are on point for me. read more

Although I love Wegmans, this review is about Instacart. Lately they have been offering emails with $10 off your grocery order. Yesterday I picked up over $100 of food from Wegmans that included 2 bottles of wine. Instacart refused to give me the $10 credit because there was alcohol in my order. They didn't seem to care about the other $80 of food! So do two separate orders if you plan to buy both. We cannot go into a grocery store because we are at high risk for Covid. I wish I didn't have to use Instacart to shop at Wegmans. They charge so much more for the same food I know is less if I could just go in myself. I know safety has its price but over time it has gotten to be a lot. read more
