Boss coffee
Barton D.

Lots of Asian food! Way more Korean food than Japanese which let me down a little and I wish they had a better mimetic/ bathroom item section. It was a nice surprise to see boss coffee and KitKats too!

What a perfect little gem in the middle of Centreville? I highly recommend this food court where you'll find a hearty mix of different options. For one, the hwedupbap is a pretty solid bet as you'll be able to have a quick premade meal. As for the Korean options, all of the soups are great as it is piping hot and great on a cold day. The beef bone soup is particularly great and I would say it's more like 1.5 servings than a serving. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a quick casual meal.

Most affordable Korean meals. $8 soondoobu #3 is my favorite. They close early though

One of my favorite and even those two other Asian markets are just as close. The lone food court in it serves great cheap Korean dishes under $10.

Jajangmyeon & Ojingeo Dupbap

Although the food court specifically in this H Mart is bit more underwhelming comparing to the Manassas and Fairfax one, the food here is great in quality. The prices went up, and some menu items are gone, (some of the items a year ago isn't here anymore,) but the portions sizes are pretty good for the prices right now. In the pics below are some of the visits we have gone here. The Jajangmyeon and Ojingeo Dupbap is pretty great! And also, the Jjambbong doesn't really taste like "actual" Jjambbong in Chinese-Korean restaurants-- just tastes like salt. Although, the Jeyuk Dupbap is pretty good. although comparing to other restaurants, it's pretty subpar. You should try the food court here if you're shopping here! Although, the customer service at the Food court isn't that great -- they should try to improve it. but, its ok!

CENTREVILLE, VA YEAR-ROUND GROCERIES +Wide variety of meats at much cheaper prices; e.g., ox tail, USDA Choice short ribs, L.A.-style short ribs +Wide variety of produce; especially, unique fruits and vegetables uncommonly found at regular supermarkets. +Loyalty rewards program, weekly sales, and frequent coupon promotions. +Restaurants within the supermarket so you can also eat a meal and save time, while grocery shopping. -Customer service may be subpar compared to regular supermarkets. Asian-owned supermarkets would be one of the last to remove the sale of and/or put up warnings on romaine lettuce. -The store layout and aisles can be confusing. Unfortunately, I am forced to shop at Hmart, Wegmans, and Trader Joe's on a regular basis. Why I have to shop from three different grocery chains, I don't really know but it's a must if I want to continue living my comfortable lifestyle. :|

Never bought so much meat in my life that I didn't get to enjoy.

CHECK YOUR RECEIPT!!! Came for mangoes last Friday. They didn't have any but my kids wanted cut up watermelon so we got a container and a pouch of passion fruit juice. We were rang for 10.51, paid, grabbed bag and went on our merry way. Fast forward to Monday... hubby was paying bills, happened to check on recent charges and asked what I bought at HMart for 343.99? My mind screaming FRAUD ALERT!!! I was down in the garage frantically searching every inch of my car looking for the receipt at 11pm... nothing. I did find the plastic bag but no receipt. I swear the cashier told me she put the receipt in my bag before I grabbed it. Even thought to my self, that was nice of her since she saw I was busy with 2 kids. I never got the receipt! Went to HMart the next day. Conveniently the manager was off but the costumer service lady was able to pull the transaction receipt. It was like pulling teeth to get her to get the copy of the transaction in their system. And boy, whoever came after me must have had a party, all expensive meat for free. The lady told me since I don't have the original receipt that I will have to mail the CC statement to corporate for reimbursement. Called United to dispute the charge, everything was taken care of in minutes. Whether this was an honest mistake or deliberate, the way HMart handles possible fraudulent issues like this is awful. I was told that if I had an HMart card that they would have tracked my purchase and then what? Issue a refund right there and then? Lady couldn't even explain what the store protocol is, just very dismissive and had the oh well... attitude. Left my contact info for manager to call. No one has reached out. Spare yourselves potential headaches, shop somewhere else. Lotte is on the other side of the 28.

H Mart. The H stands for Happy, Healthy, Heroic, and Horny. OK not horny, but in my head it does. Yes I'm talking about the head on my shoulders. Tsk. I have a hard time deciding whether I like this H-Mart or the one in Fairfax better. Both have really awesome Korean restaurants inside which are pretty cheap for how much delicious food you get. Both have a massive amount of various international goods and both are extremely large (that's what she said). The service is probably a little friendlier at this one, maybe? Hard to tell really. Two very similar grocery stores and both are little gems that make this tough, expensive, heavy-traffic, impersonal me-me-me part of the country (NOVA), that little bit more bearable to live in.

Food Court Menu 06/30/2023

Picked up food from the food court and got the jjajangmyun and yukgaejang. Service was super quick as we had called ahead with our order 15 minutes prior. The jjajangmyun isn't the best, but for $7 it's worth it. The yukgaejang was decent and was spicy as it should be.

Annie C.

Definitely the best Hmart in the NOVA area. I'm comparing specially with falls church, Annandale. I love coming here for lunch and shopping when heading to and from this area as it's just off 66. The prices are cheaper, the store is larger and the food court is amazing.

H Mart is one of my preferred international markets for Asian specific groceries. The food court is busy and has like 20 options of different dishes that mainly include noodles/soups and rice and meat mixtures. They also have a sushi express at a separate stand. Overall I like the variety of vegetables and fruits, meats and specific cut meats, and common Asian cooking items you can't find in regular stores.

This H Mart, located in a plaza off of Braddock, has an extensive/variety of items that they offer, especially in terms of banchans and readily-marinated meats (bulgogi, dwegi bulgogi, etc.). Similar to other H Mart locations, they have snack items, candies, produce, specialty items, houseware goods, a mini pharmacy, a Korean bread shop, as well as a food court area. For some reason, I found that they had more of a variety of rice cookers, humidifiers, as well as larger pots, pans, and bowls in the kitchenware/houseware section, even compared to Super H Mart. What really makes this location my preferred spot is that on the weekends, they have hodduk - Korean-style flat donuts that is made with wheat and flour, and filled with a mixture of brown sugar, honey, nuts, and cinnamon. The wonderfully friendly couple that runs this little stand inside the grocery store (near the food court and in front of the sushi place) are super sweet, and the husband makes literally one of the best hodduks I've had in quite some time!!! The key is that you get them right off the grill, and seat yourself at the handful of tables at the food court area to consume them right away!!! These hodduks had a slight crisp on the outside, and the filling inside was super magical - perfectly cooked, not too grainy at all, a perfect amount of nuts, and I believe this also had a hint of ginger. It was super hot, super delicious, and super satisfying! YUM. The check-out lines also seemed to be quick and efficient. While this location is a bit further out for me, a trip to get them hodduks is totally worth it! :D +hodduks!!! (on weekends) :D :D :D :D +weekend samplings +larger houseware/kitchenware section +parking in shared plaza lot

They need to control all their quality. We found lots of worms in a pack of rice we bought here and threw it away as soon as we opened.

From the "Sometimes Yelpers Be Basic" Review series…read more.. I love fried chicken. I always have and probably always will. I don't eat it all the time since it's not the healthiest food out there, but I have been known to indulge every so often. Fans of this treat have their favorite purveyor to satisfy their deep fried craving. Some people swear by KFC, Popeyes, Church's, while other's are more new school choosing Chik-Fil-A, Raising Cane's, or Zaxby's. While I've sampled some iteration of "fried chicken" at all of these places, do you know where my favorite fried chicken in the DMV is prepared? The Giant Food deli. Sounds crazy, I know; and even I wouldn't have believed it until I picked up an 8-piece order (I prefer the dark meat) and became a believer. This "conversion," if you will happened in early-2021 during the pandemic and almost purely by accident. I actually drove to KFC and then to Popeyes and couldn't get any chicken due to labor and supply chain issues (you remember those fun times, right?). So I popped in my local Giant Food and saw that an 8 piece order was on sale for $5.99 . I figured, the price was right and the food smelled good, so what did I have to lose? And when I got home and had my first bite, it was an enlightenment. The skin was perfectly GBD (golden/brown/delicious) and crispy, and the meat was moist and seasoned with just enough salt and spices. While I was only intending to consume 1-2 pieces and save the rest for the next day, I "may have" had 3-4 pieces since it was so tasty. As for any leftovers, I find popping them into an air fryer at 300 for about 10-15 minutes is perfect; an oven at 325 for about the same time also works well, but the skin won't be as crispy unless you use the broiler feature for the last 5 minutes of reheating. When I went back the next week to get another order, I was chatting with the guy at the deli who explained that all of the fried chicken is hand dipped and battered in each store, and fried constantly throughout the day. Explains why it taste so good. But admittedly, the trick is you have to time your visit when the chicken is fresh out of the fryer. Usually most of the deli's put their first batches into the fryer around 11:30am, so it's done at 12:15-12:30pm for the lunch rush / and then again around 4:30pm so the next batch is ready around 5:30pm. These are approximate times, so I'd check with your local Giant deli for their preparation schedule. As of this review, an 8-piece container is $7.99, which is still a heck of a good deal. There are usually combo deals available, where with the purchase of an 8-piece, you can also add a few "heat and serve" sides, and have a meal for less than $20.

I'm not sure why this place has such negative reviews. It's a typical grocery store. A bit ancient…read morelooking, especially when Wegmans is down the street. But it does the job and they have anything anyone is generally looking for. They also encourage self check out as there might be 1 normal register open.

This is not an exact translation of the above, but I just want to express my appreciation again to WOW (Centreville location) for a truly impressive presentation of Korean food for my grandson's 1st birthday party. I chose the set menu, which was extremely convenient. I knew I could count on the food being delicious as I have ordered their weekly set menu in the recent past (roughly 4 servings included with a different menu each week). The food arrived ahead of schedule. WOW also prepared a warmer set so that the galbi would be warm when it was served. All the serving utensils were provided and the labeled containers were set out on the table by their staff. I left the dessert portion to the discretion of the owner and she matched her selection to the occasion. Everything was not only aesthetically pleasing (I received lots of compliments and questions about where to order) but also the food brought back childhood memories of my own mom's cooking - that was the best! Thank you again for your excellent service and for helping me to express my love to my daughter, my son-in-law and my grandson through your deliciously prepared food!

However after recently going, they raised their price of the meats by $7-8 which does not justify the 1-2 pounds of meat that you get in the bag. Moreover, since there's no price markings, I was even more thrown off when my total came out to $32 instead of $24. Meat also tasted different than usual. Not sure what's been going on but I don't think I'll be coming back again.

I've had to return a bad package of lamb before and the CSR told me that it was that shipment. I had a similar experience with spoiled chicken one time, so It does happen here. Just keep your receipt and they will make it right for you. I've had to get medicine three minutes before they close at 11pm, and the store manager walked me to each product and did not rush me. Their organic products under their store brand are of great quality, and they sell green tomatillo sauce that's made in Mexico. They usually have stocked shelves. I would love to see more Kosher and organic foods, especially beef, steaks, fish, challah bread, and produce. Their seafood is more reasonably priced than most other competitors and is fresh. Note: their prices are on the higher side for some items such as wine, ice cream, and packaged foods. They do charge for bags, so bring your own reusable ones. You definitely want to use your Bonus discount card. The atmosphere is usually chilled and the area feels safe although one hears of crime activity in the area within a mile of the store. I was happy to learn that Giant financially supports Holiday Wreaths at Arlington Cemetery for our fallen veterans every year, so I try to buy their store brand whenever I can.
