This Wegmans on Culver-Ridge is 1 of the last Mohegans in the original Wegman chain. This store is a twin to the old ones formerly on Driving park and Dewey, East ave and Mt. Hope. They offer all of the Wegmans foods and brands just much smaller. I noticed also they still have the individual can and bottle machines. All cans and bottles go in different machines. And there aren't as many machines, and smaller space. All in all they still provide good service and usually the food is good! I may add, this is one of the 2 stores which will discontinue 24 hours service starting June. read more

FYI, this Wegmans, like most that used to be open 24 hours pre-COVID, is NO LONGER open 24 hours. This location is open from 6am- midnight, with hours sometimes differing on holidays, etc. Other than that, it's a great store, everything you've come to know and love about Wegmans. It's more cramped than most of them and the floor plan is different, but overall it's just good ol' Wegmans. read more

Overall I think Wegmans is a wholesome convenient clean super market. But, I think their customer service has gotten a tad sloppy? I definitely don't feel that excellence from their staff. I would say my very first impression of Wegmans left me beyond impressed and excited to go back. That's probably why I gave them a 3/5 instead of a 2. However, as I see the hot food bar choices not only dwindling in the number of choices, but the hot food bar really focuses on serving very unhealthy things. It makes me wonder if Wegmans really cares about its clientele. I know the addition of the salad bar was a big win for many, but healthy vegetarian or even just a tad healthier hot food bar options would be so amazing. Sometimes you want something warm and nutritious. I love coming here because of its location, and I am always tempted to get a snack at the food bar because the fried items are so tempting! I'm hoping with times changing Wegmans will provide us with more options. Also, Weggies, could you bring back the regular orange juice? I wrote a letter, but I have resorted to squeezing my own juice because the cold pressed taste weird, and I rather drink Tropicana. read more

Stopped in with the bf to grab some drinks and groceries for the night and was able to find everything we needed! Friendly staff, clean environment, decent pricing.. (but we're able used to paying city pricing) There's a deli section in case you don't feel like cooking for the night! What else can you ask for? :) read more

Wow! Such friendly staff and exceptional service. I happened to stop by this Wegmans on accident, I was looking for the larger location, located down the road off 104. I ended up popping in and walking around a bit, asking a few questions before I realized I was at the wrong location. This store is a lot smaller than most, their produce area is reduced a lot, I couldn't believe have small it was, had very limited options. I came around 730am, so unfortunately the Mediterranean bar and sub area wasn't open yet. Their deli section and bakery looked very promising, I could have dove right in. I don't think they expect a high volume of customers, their bathrooms had two stalls, and their bottle can return area was 1 can deposit and 1 bottle deposit. Woah! read more

I can't stop raving about Wegman's sushi. Great portion and great quality raw tuna. Gonna have to take away one star from the rating, presentation was a little sloppy. I found an avocado pit in my roll, not sure if I purchased it like this or my ex husband is messing with me again. Either way, would recommended. 4/5 read more

A bit dated with its low ceilings and lack of windows ,kind of like a warehouse that sells food and groceries. Reminds me of being on one of those old sea going vessels back in the 70s with their low ceilings. Most items are pricey but you can get a few good deals if you look hard. The cafe area is OK with flat screen TV and censored access to websites via their free wifi . Not a bad place to grab a quick coffee and some hot food. The staff are usually very friendly and efficient. Could do with being seriously updated like its other stores in Pittsford and Greece ,probably not going to happen anytime soon here in Irondequoit. read more

I have to start off by saying that I LOVE WEGMANS--just not the Culver Ridge store. This morning 4-30-14, at 10:30 am I ran into the Culver-Ridge store to pick up a few items. I use the Wegman Ap--which I also love, makes shopping extremely easy. However--over half of the items that I wanted, on my short list were not in stock. And there were a ton of empty spaces on shelves. Wegmans is open 24 hours--they should have their shelves stocked by 10:30 am. The produce looked horrible. I wanted baby bok choy (none), I wanted the Wegmans peeled garlic (none) I wanted an assortment of mushrooms (no oyster, no shitake) they had portabella and white button only and one shrink wrapped "gourmet" selection that looked like it was sitting there since the 80's Not one person in the produce department to ask for assistance. The clerk at the deli counter gave me attitude because I did not want the already sliced cold cuts. I like my cold cuts laying flat. The already sliced ones are in a big ball of smushed together meat and hard to take apart to make a sandwich. He was so rude--I just left the deli counter--I do not need attitude when purchasing deli meat. I wanted turkey thighs--none on the shelf. I also wanted to pick up frozen broccoli spears--none in the case--only broccoli parts. Plus, a man was cleaning out a froze food case with a hose--splashing water onto other packages of frozen goods--Gross! And his hose was straight across the aisle--so you couldn't get over or around it. And the man was making a mess and rude too. I cut down the junk food aisle to get to dairy--that aisle was filled perfectly! The only aisle in the whole store that had fully stocked shelves is the junk food aisle! Then when I went to check out on check out #17, the clerk was extremely rude. I asked her if this store is closing--she said No--I told her that half of my list, was not stocked, and she didn't say another word. I looked for a name tag and she didn't even have one on. I will never go back to this Wegmans. It is dirty, limp produce, rude clerks (when you can find one) and many unstocked shelves. read more

Having to go grocery shopping can become a tedious routine! It always helps when there is a store you can count on. One that you know will have great products and excellent customer service. This Wegmans location ha become my "Go-to" store. I come here about 2-3 times a week and I must say I have yet to have a bad customer service experience. Everyone is eager to help and ready to serve! Can it be...Wegmans getting a two star from me? One of thier most loyal customers? Yup, for one reason....the service. Goodness...I don't believe I have EVER experienced such anger amongst the staff and management. I went in here a few days ago expecting for a nice little shopping trip to pick up some quick items for my girlfriend. Well as soon as I walked In and headed to the produce area to get some carrots, the employee was already there, blocking the display as he put away the vegetables. I politely waited till he moved to the left so I could grab a bag of carrots, but he only scoffed at me and gave me the "evil-eye stare" and went back to forcefully stocking vegetables. To avoid unnecessary drama, I walked away and got some organic carrots...lucky I did since there were only three bags remaining. The rest of the time I kept noticing some areas of empty spaces on some of the shelves, making the store feel empty and well...sad. I was able to find all the food I needed after a half hour of searching and went to check out. DId I get a kind cashier who was respectful? Well I would think so but this lady never even said hello and bagged my items so with such force I thought she was going to break the bag but the food was safe. Wow Wegmans...you need to hire a new staff for this branch. It all seems like they hate thier jobs and show no passion in what they do. I have owed my own home and lived here in Irondequiot for 21 years and ALWAYS shop at the Wegmans at Ridge Culver. The employees have ALWAYS been friendly, polite, helpful and go out of their way to help with what isle something is on or moving their re -stocking shelves cart to let the customers get past them. The produce department IS always stocked well and nicely with fresh vegetables. It always looks very nice and the store and EACH department is clean. I also order personalized potato skins from the prepared foods department and the employees are always nice, friendly and want to assist you with anything you need. The guys help you take out your groceries if you ask them and the check out cashiers ARE friendly and always speak with you, Who ever wrote that other negative review obviously does not shop there very often or was simply having a bad day. As a customer Wegmans on E.Ridge Ed is phenomenal! Great customer service! Always clean and neat! Always stocked! My older brother worked there for years... And from what I have heard they treat their employees really poorly! This is my neighborhood wegmans - so I'm used to the layout and don't have a hard time finding things here like some have mentioned. This is also one of the older wegmans in the area, so it seems like there is always some kind of refurbishing/rearranging going on. The employees I have dealt with in the past have always been relatively helpful - some more than others. They recently added some additional dining options in the front area of the store - but they are really running out of room. They should expand back since the library is closing! read more
