I love Wegman's In this area it is hard to find some off-the-wall ingredients and luckily Wegman's usually has them. Atmosphere is nice and reminds me of the nicer supermarkets in other areas of the country. Also, the hoagies are wonderful. I usually end up there once a week to get lunch. I try to time it with my house running out of beer. Their beer selection is also great and some of the local places tend to have some higher prices and less of a selection. read more

Wegman's is fantastic. The service is stellar and the groceries are the best of the best. There are so many options and products you wouldn't be able to find at your standard grocery store that are guaranteed to be here. There is an organic option for almost everything, the bakery is very impressive, and the beer selection is extensive. They have a nice selection of different ethnic foods as well. My only complaint is that it can get crowded at times, but it's not Wegman's fault that every housewife in the Scranton area decides to do their shopping at exactly 11:30 am every day. read more

For those of you who think Wegman's is more expensive, check again. Family pack meats are way less expensive than other stores. Their own brand is excellent quality, and priced well. Specialty items are expensive; ie: specialty sauces, prepared food etc. worth it, but will increase your bill. My only complaint? Having moved here from DC, where they have new stores, this one needs a facelift. Badly. read more

Well it appears Wegmans did a little remodeling by moving isles around. As you walk in the produce area is much more wide open. Not a problem here. But the real problem is when you start going down the dry food isles. They completely screwed this up. When they first did this back in the summer I was told that they are still in the process of getting things straighten out. This is because I couldn't find common items. Now I just returned this past weekend and it's no better. Very frustrating. I mean they have the isles where you walk down and there is your common assorted beans in the can. Then it goes into Peanut butter and Jelly. Really? Then they have pasta sauce and sardines. So I went looking for tuna fish. Not sure where they moved it. I did notice another isle for Latino Beans. This place is so disorganized I don't think I will be going back. Especially having to go up and down every isle and still not finding basic items you normally find. I know I'm not the only one that has this problem. I saw several other people doing the same as me. Another funny thing is years ago they stopped selling cigarettes for a more healthier appearance. But they still cater to, to other vices. The Lottery (gambling) and alcohol. So much for the sales of alcohol that they actually took away from the food court to add more beer that you can actually drink on site and then drive. I'm done. read more

I didn't have an extensive time here since we are visiting from out of state, but the store seemed clean and well taken care of. I appreciated the large floral section and the quick and friendly way the cashier took care of us. This is a pretty nice store from what I could see. read more

After not going to a grocery store for over 10 days, I braved going out to Wegman's this morning. It was terrifying! I arrived by 8 am, and the store was already reasonably crowded. Wegman's has made no attempt to enforce or even encourage social distancing. People need to go to the grocery store, but they should not have to risk transmitting or contracting a life-threatening disease to do so. I washed my hands and put on gloves before going in; but few other customers or employees had gloves on. There are signs everywhere about limits on what you can buy, but no signs reminding people to keep their distance and to avoid touching merchandise they do not intend to buy. While I waited for another customer to finish choosing his purchase from the self-serve deli case, I stood 6 feet away --only to have another customer push in front of me and start pawing the packages of cold cuts! When I finally did get up to the case, another customer came right up beside me less than a foot away, and once again, started touching all of the packages. Also as I stood at the head of an aisle waiting for people to clear out, I saw a woman pick up at least 5 jars of olives, look at them and put them back on the shelf!! Wegman's and all other grocery stores need to post frequent and big signs telling people to stand back and only touch merchandise they intend to buy. They also need to enforce limits on the number of people who can come into the store at once so that people can keep their distance. We all need to presume that we are contagious and act accordingly. I probably won't be going back to Wegmans anytime soon. read more

If you appreciate a good grocery store and you haven't visited a Wegmans then you seriously need to get off your a$$ and find one. We drive about an hour to this Wegmans as it's the closest one to our house. We don't go all the time but every couple of weeks we go and stock up on stuff and make a day of it. We took a trip out here today. We always kick it off with some lunch at the Market Cafe. Today DW had a mix of Indian \ Chinese food from the hot buffet and I had a sub from the sandwhich shop. You should never grocery shop on an empty stomach!! Anyway I order the 14" Meatball sub thinking that it will be slightly bigger than it's 12" cousin that I am used to getting from Subway... Wrong answer... This sandwhich was seriously like an entire loaf of Italian Bread jammed full with homemade meatballs, delicious marinara and mozz cheese. I honestly don't think I'll have to eat for 2 days after plowing that puppy back. There's some crazy laws in PA that prevent them from selling beer in the regular part of the store so you have to purchase your beer seperately in the Market Cafe. No big deal, they have a simply awesome variety of beer esp. for a super market. They claim to carry 500+ beers, unfortunately I didn't have time to count. As for the grocery part of the store, the aisles are laid out well and nice and wide. They have plenty of staff members around to help you find your way if you become overwhelmed. Unlike many other grocery stores, the Wegman home brand products are easily on par with most of your name brand stuff at a fraction of the price. We seem to find something new each time we go. Today's great find was the bakery... I don't think we ever wandered down this aisle in the past. DW picked up a loaf of fresh made "European Bread" This may sound silly but this bread may have made the BEST toast that I have ever tasted. At the time of this review I've put back 6 slices of toast. DW is telling me that I'll have to make the return trip to Wegmans to get her another loaf. Prices are on par with Wal-Mart on most products which is hard to beleive since this is a privately owned regional grocery store. I'm really not sure how they pull it off but all of the employees that you interact with are super friendly and go out of their way to assist. I just wish we'd get a Wegmans that was a little closer to us! read more

Definitely the best meat and produce around. Clean and modern. Shciffs is the only other that comes close with the quality of their meat. The bakery food is so good, but overpriced for sure. I do most of my shopping here, but when I need a cake or French bread for a party, I head to Sam's Club, as it's about half the price for those things. Still, the prices here on regular grocery items is good. read more

Large white open oils in the great selection overall especially produce and organic selections. Sometimes the drive is A turn-off from Scranton. Very helpful staff. Cafe is super convenient. Never shop hungary! read more

They have an excellent bakery with a variety of breads and dessert type pastries. The store is always clean. We like the fruits and vegetables. There is a Cafe to sit and relax with TV or Wireless hot spot. The coffee is excellent. The Pharmacy folks are very efficient. We enjoy shopping there.Even the shopping carts were well managed. read more

Clean, friendly, prices par for the area. They have a great selection on items you would probably not find in most grocery stores.

What can I say - I come here and I feel like I never left California. The other grocery stores in the area simply do not compare. Wegman's has almost everything that you could find in a store back home - except for sourdough bread, (my personal favorite, ubiquitous in the SF Bay Area but strangely impossible to find in NEPA), and decently spicy pickled peppers. read more

A spacious store that is very clean with an upscale feel. The Sub Shoppe is amazing, subs are made to order with a generous amount of fresh ingredients on a delicious roll. The meats and seafood are always fresh, seafood department has variety. The deli is awesome, even the Wegmans brand meats/cheeses are top notch. Produce department has everything under the sun .The employees are extremely professional and well groomed/dressed and the departments are always well adequately, never long checkout lines. Private label products are high in quality and low in price. read more

Overall I really love shopping here, the food is amazing quality, lots of variety, open all night, and it's really not overpriced. It can, however, be extremely crowded in the store to the point where I feel like I'm always in someone's way. Also I've had a few times where employees will block an entire isle and completely ignore me when I say excuse me and try to pass by. Hi my name is erin overholtz. And i never took the time to write a review for anyone before but i just had to for the bakery at wegmans in scranton pa. I had called a bunch of places on a friday looking for a cupcake cake and needed it for sat. The next day and many places i called before said it was too short notice, and called wegmans and the lady said no problem. Im so glad no one else could take the time because who ever made it it was great. I asked for 30 cupcakes and to just put the together and draw a peace sign on it. At that point i didnt care what i got. When i picked it up the next day it was awasome who ever made it actually took the time to really make it cool. They actually formed the cupcakes into a big peace sign and then iced it something i never expeted. It was the talk of the party. Thanks for taking the extra time to make my daughters cake awasome in my daughters words. Good job cause now a days people really dont care just get the job done! read more
