I contacted them about an upcoming move and asked if in addition to moving most of my stuff, they could also haul away some furniture and other items I did not want to take with me to my new apartment. The fee for the junk removal was significantly less than other junk removal companies, plus it meant that I could get everything done at once rather than having to shuffle between different companies. On the morning of the move Dave was available via text to respond to last minute questions and the team called me to provide updates about traffic conditions and their arrival time. Even with bad traffic, they still arrived within the expected arrival window. The team was incredibly professional and friendly. They listened carefully to which items were junk and which should go to the new place and were able to keep track of everything. Plus, they got done way under the quoted time frame. These guys are amazing. I just used them for the second time. They helped me move into my new home awhile back and then a few months later I called them again to help get some things moved from a friend's house into mine. They have impressed me both times and I will without a doubt use them in the future. Very easy to get them scheduled with Dave. They arrive either right on time or a few minutes early. My stuff was handled with great care and they made everything so easy. My place is definitely hard to get to, but they navigated stairs and sharp corners without any issues. The guys are also just fun and have a good personality, which makes moving (already a stressful activity) a little more pleasant. Update: I just used WeHaul again, this time for a more involved move from DC to Virginia and a furniture haul away. Dave responds to emails quickly and even suggested starting earlier than the original plan because it would work better with my loading dock contraints. The rate is very good and upfront, no hidden last minute fees. Once again the movers showed up on time and moved my things very efficiently and were just pleasant people to interact with. I moved today for the first time without the assistance of Mom and Dad so I needed some movers, and was fully prepared for the entire experience to be a debacle. I recently moved from DC to NY, and WeHaul made my move stress free and pleasant. I reviewed companies on Yelp and selected WeHaul based on reviews. My last move was pretty horrendous so I felt nervous about the moving process. Dave was excellent, and responded to all my questions. There were no switch ups or anything of that nature. Garry and Will were the two men who moved my things, loading everything from my studio apartment in just over an hour's time. They were courteous, professional, timely, and even before their arrival, made sure to communicate their whereabouts and timing with me. I've used WeHaulDC three times now (in building move in 2015, D.C. to Odenton in 2016, Odenton to Silver Spring in 2017) and I could not recommend them enough. Each phase, from booking to unloading is easy and fast. Dave is very responsive so getting my desired day/time has never been a problem. Steve, Gary, Bryan and Brandon came to my rescue! After a stressful process of trying to relocate from one state to another, these guys helped me feel so much better. They called me at around 9:15am and said that they would be at my apartment around 11am. At 11am they were knocking. Upon entering my apartment they informed me that they were going to take good care of me. They asked where I wanted every item they brought in the door. They were very friendly and personable me. This was my second time using WeHaul DC and they were just as great as ever. Gary and Steve were so professional, efficient, patient, and fun to chat with while I moved. They showed up early and even assembled my bar stools for me as we had some time left on my reservation after moving all my stuff. My bed is sturdier because they had to take it apart and put it back together to move it (I built it the first time, without power tools...oops). They knew how to unscrew the screen from my peloton and still wrapped up many of my items even though I was moving within the same complex. I would highly recommend this company! We used WeHaulDC for an urgent move from one basement apartment to another within DC (our previous landlord needed to make emergency renovations). Dave responded almost immediately with a quote that was lower than all the other places I asked. Our movers, Gary and Will, arrived at 7:00 sharp for a 7:30-8:00 move-out time! They were fast, courteous, good humored and careful with all our stuff, including our unreasonable amount of heavy boxes of books (60+ in total). I used We Haul DC for my most recent move from a 1bdrm to a 1bdrm within the same part of town, and I cannot express how pleased I am! Purcell and Gary were friendly, careful, and timely. They wrapped most of my items - even the couch - and didn't slow down once. They took apart and reassembled my difficult headboard without protest -- and they secured it really well! I hired this company with one day notice to move one VERY HEAVY piece of industrial equipment. The challenge was BIG! Entrance steps to overcome, narrow doorways, and BIG dogs to placate. The crew analyzed the problems step by step, communicated concerns and attacked each step with knowledge, wisdom and strength. They were careful, considerate and worked hard to move this piece of equipment to its final home. They assisted me in making sure the equipment was properly placed, and secure for installation. I used WeHaul DC yesterday for a move in Bethesda. From the start it couldn't have gone better! They were half an hour early and did the whole job with a smile on their faces! Will and Tony were awesome...they were super careful with my stuff and made sure nothing was damaged during the move. Dave Moved my family cross country from Virginia to Arizona, kinda a rare move for him. He moved 2 of our extended family members long distance East Coast-all 5 star moves too. I simply can't say enough good things. The move was crazy fast despite Covid. Dave took really care of us and our stuff. We had to last minute move up our move date due to rain.
