We recently closed on our home and haven't even moved in yet. When two workers came for the furnace and found water, they cancelled themselves AND THE PLUMBER, refusing to help pump out the water unless I signed a contract for $7-14K in repairs right then. They wasted valuable time knowing that an upcoming severe freeze warning could cause further damage to my home. I immediately scheduled on line to have them come and pump out the water and there was same day availability. They cancelled my service call because I hadn't signed the contract, which they never even sent out. They were greedily trying to upsell me when I was under pressure and cost me valuable time. That's unethical and it made them lose my business.

I had appointments with 3 other businesses that couldn't get to me until later in the week. It was a minor issue and the payment was a fair price. I will contact them first next time I have an issue or need a new unit. They also have a decently priced annual maintenance plan that I signed up for based on the quality and value of the service they provided.

He kept coming back to fix it but never got it right. It's now been nearly 2 years of this and I told my husband to pay someone who knows what they're doing. We spent over $700 to have them correct DJ's error. I contacted DJ and his wife in hopes that they'd reimburse me sine it was DJ's poor workmanship causing the bill, I got the run around then was finally told that they'd fix it since it was under warranty. The only way they could fix this would be to reimburse us but they refused. PLEASE pay a little more and save yourself the headache, using DJ will cost you a fortune in the long run We've had huge power bills due to our A/C being low or out of freon and us trying to use it. My parents own an A/C business in another state and had to talk me through finding some of his leaks & errors. I have NO idea what I was doing and could find some of the issues with my parents help so I'm assuming he isn't professionally trained. They were never rude or anything they just don't know what they're doing.

At first he started out strong, then he wasn't able to get to jobs while telling he was. I asked DJ to purchase a used refrigerator and new window AC unit for one of my units. He billed me for the items and I paid for the items but he never delivered them. I requested the owners money back several times and DJ ignored all my calls. I called one last time to say please return the money before I take action. He again did not return my call. DJ is not an honest man and would not trust him to handle any of your repair needs.

I reset the thermostat perhaps his instructions & it appeared to work, until the next day, Saturday, June 21, 2025. I attempted to reset the thermostat on Saturday & ended with the same result. I called them this morning, June 25, 2025, & explained I was still having an issue with the thermostat. Yard heating & cooling sent a technician out & replaced my thermostat. The technician installed a new thermostat & checked to verify the warranty status. He was experienced, thorough, professional & polite. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I hired Aire Serve Springfield, IL to furnish and install an AC condenser, coil, and fabricated box…read morefor my 950 sq. ft. mobile home. After the installation I noticed the exterior disconnect was installed behind the condenser, the line set not supported from condenser to interior unit, drain line not present, floor penetration not properly sealed, no permit. I spoke with Joe and Jill and they explained they would send the technician out to correct the deficiencies. Jill squared away the permit. The technician came out to relocate the disconnect, install two support straps for the line set, sealed the floor penetration for the line set, and a surprise pvc drainage line installed for condensation. The city of Springfield, IL inspector came out and noticed the condenser was not level and the code required safety caps were not installed on the refrigerant connectors. Apparently, code required for theft purposes. Aire Serve was very responsive with scheduling the technician back for eliminating the code violations. My suggestion to Aire Serve is to educate/retrain technicians on industry codes. Three stars for a basic installation to take three trips for code compliance and for the technicians parting words "Try to have a good day."

I was told by Air Serv that no one could pull a permit for an existing furnace, and that I would have to replace the entire furnace and air conditioner system. I told them that the inspector specifically asked me to have licensed HVAC guy pull a permit to have it repaired - it was mostly an issue of placement - and they tried, again, to sell me on a whole new system. They were polite about it, and if you want a whole new system, maybe they're great. But repair was not something they were interested in.
