Weinstein's pharmacy is amazing, The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. Haris fills prescriptions at lightning speed (so rare). I love the large variety of items they carry, whoever does the ordering has impeccable taste. After my second trip to pick up a prescription, they knew my name. I work in Bedford Hills but live in Brookfield, CT and thought this might be a problem, they always have my medication ready by Friday. I needed wrapping paper for a gift for a child's birth. I asked if they had baby themed wrapping paper and they were out of stock. The owner was so nice and gave me some their wrapping paper as they wrap presents and had a cute roll of paper perfect for babies. It was so kind of him and he was so nice and refused to take any money. It made my life easier and made me happy that someone took the time to problem solve, be generous and help me! This is hands down the best pharmacy in the area whether you are picking up medication for your child or for yourself. The service here is exceptionally quick, and my scripts are sometimes filled within five minutes. If any medication is not in stock, it is always available early the following day. Haris, the owner, is incredibly passionate about what he does, and I truly appreciate his professionalism and thoughtfulness when it comes to his customers. A friend yelper just jogged my memory of this homey small pharmacy. A minor medical incident (probably brought on by a lunch with a relative), occurred just as I was walking by their doors. They provided tissues and other customers provided solace. Holiday windows (year round actually) were chock full lovely goodies especially clever needlepoint pillows. Stumbled across this pharmacy on my trip upstate, great staff who was very helpful with solving a medication issue. The best drugstore you I've seen. It's an old-fashioned place where the aisles are jammed with chachkas the air scented with perfume and soap and the customer service is great. Oh sure the guys behind the counter can seem a bit aloof but don't be fooled: they are consummate professionals who will bend over backwards to make sure you get the right stuff at the right time. More than once when I could not make it into the store on time they made sure that I got what I needed on time. Nowadays drugstores like Weinstein's are an anomaly. Chain stores wherein anonymous strangers mete pills into bottles which are then put into plastic bags, hung like dry cleaning and dispensed by a cashier rule the day. But after a couple of trips to Weinstein's you will know everyone's name and they will know yours. And you will consider yourself lucky (as I certainly did) to be their customer. read more

3 stars just for the history of the pharmacy the rest is just flazeedah prices are outrageous and customer service lacking a lot of the products are leaning towards the old spectrum if you have a lot of money come here but I will be happy to stick with CVS read more

In the 60s and 70s my folks were friendly with the then proprietor Lionel Weinstein and his family. I was so impressed to know someone who had their own business! Now I read (in the NY Times, July 4, 2015) that Katonah is struggling to preserve it's small town feel and keep out big soulless chains (in this case CVS). I confess to not having been to Weinstein's in about 50 years, but I hope all who are within reach of its threshold will make a point to patronize the store and help preserve a fading glimmer of our history. read more

Great location, great customer care with one big negative that takes away from all of that, the head pharmacist. Over all these years I can never understand why they would still employ such a snotty, arrogant and unfriendly person to run their store. Every other person there is kind, caring and attentive especially the other pharmacists and all of the employees at the gift counter and pharmacy techs. When I go to a pharmacy I expect professional and helpful information from a Pharmacist, and Charlie is not professional, not attentive, not kind and made myself and my daughter very upset by the attitude we received due to an insurance discrepancy which I was not knowledgeable of. He is not only cold towards customers, but his employees alike I have seen a lot of him in the last 6 years I have been going to Weinstein's. Find another head pharmacist until then my family and friends will go to Cross River Pharmacy from now on. read more

These guys saved me from a misprescribed, massive overdose of nitroglycerine ointment that would have knocked me out cold the instant it was applied. They were persistent in calling the prescribing doctor's office to get the formula revised. You can't buy this kind of service. read more
