Weird and wonderful, Weird Bro's Coffee is a busy and cool hot spot where locals enjoy coming to meet for a quick coffee, or take out some lunch and a beverage from nearby businesses. With fair prices, great staff, and a nice environment to get some paperwork done, I'd definitely recommend a try if you want something different than your typical Starbucks. Being local craft coffee roasters, being able to see the Cold Brew being made in the back of the coffeehouse is quite cool - I overheard one of the owners say that they can go through 4 kegs over a weekend, quite easily - must be good! I ordered an almond milk matcha latte, which lacked flavor - but I asked if they could make it stronger and it posed no questions or hassle. Another was made for me and brought over in no time. As a non-coffee drinker, I still like the smell of coffee and coffee shops and this little one doesn't disappoint. I ordered a mango smoothie. It was thick and creamy. Stopped in here before a long drive and am so glad I did! I got the Maggies Magic nitro cold brew drink and a cheese danish and both were delightful. In love with the place's theme, quirky decor, and fun drink names. I bought a bag of fresh roasted coffee called "Stranger Beans" and I am obsessed with it - so good! I was also so grateful for the kind staff and patrons who helped me juggle my order, my baby's carseat (with chubby baby inside), and diaper bag out the door and even offered to help me to my car. The place was busy with about 9 other customers present when we went. Ordered a large cold brew coffee with a tiny bit of heavy cream, although it was definitely more than a tiny bit. Coffee was still good and pretty strong according to my bf. I could take a nap after drinking coffee so I can neither confirm nor deny the latter. The customer service/friendliness described in other reviews wasn't as apparent which is probably due to how busy it was, but I had a good experience overall and like that the business is veteran owned. read more

One look at the menu board tells you that these folks clearly know their coffee (including _three_ sizes of cortado, each with the proper ratio of milk to shots). One taste confirms it. The long line on a Sunday morning for takeout testified to its local popularity. The speed with which that line moved testified to the efficiency of its staff. Decided to give Weird Brothers another try after my friend suggested meeting up here. I will say that I love the artwork and funky coffee bean and coffee-infused offerings that they have. Their menu has also expanded a ton since I last came here, and they don't upcharge for alternative milks which is really nice, but I believe their prices have gone up quite a bit as well. The store is pretty cramped and only has seating for about 15 people total, and it gets pretty loud and hot in there when there's a lot of people. Luckily there was no horribly unpleasant burnt smell like there was the last time I came. I ordered a small iced chai latte with almond milk. Unfortunately, the woman helping me rang me up for a medium, and when I told her I ordered a small she seemed unbothered and honestly kind of annoyed that I was even bringing it up, and didn't offer to ring me up for the correct size. She was just pretty unfriendly overall and didn't seem to want to be there. Could've been that I just got unlucky though because I saw several other employees who were much more pleasant with customers than she was. My iced chai was pretty good. It was definitely on the sugary side and a bit too sweet for me, but it was very cinnamon-y and had a great flavor to it. My drink also came out super quickly even though there was a line when I came in. They also have sip lids for their iced drinks which I appreciate. Overall I was more impressed with my experience today than I had been when I first came here, except for the fact that I've consistently had unfriendly service. read more

Jill and Yamin went out of there way to make me feel at home. I politely asked if they could make me a Mocha Nitro Cold Brew and those game planned, strategized, and did their best to make it for me. What surprised me though was their Mocha Marshmallows. I love the extensive creative menu here! Lots of good all options, with all types of coffee/tea/smoothie drinks. Employees are nice but not over the top, which I'm fine with. All that matters is that they can make a good coffee! Tight seating during rush hour, but if you can manage to get a table, you're lucky to get to look at all the cool decor inside. I am always on the lookout for a great cup of coffee. Weird Brothers exceeds my expectations. I am a coffee purist. No cream, no sugar, no room. The coffee at Weird Brothers is fresh, perfectly balanced and makes me happy at O-Dark-Hundred in the morning. Great service from a small business in our "small" town. So, if you want coffee that wasn't shipped across the country from some west coast factory, coffee that isn't playing second fiddle to donuts and coffee that isn't sold as sawdust in a tiny plastic cup, this is your place. This is locally roasted, locally brewed and locally enjoyed....by me. Oh, and a bonus. These guys are big supporters of local schools and local non-profits. Weird brothers is the real deal! This place is legit. I come here sometimes when I want a treat and have a few extra minutes to spare to drive the extra miles. It's kind of in a hidden spot in a shopping center that doesn't have much else retail wise. It's a smaller shop without much seating and it can get crowded so not the best place to meet a Group. I have only really been by in the early mornings which is the busiest time of day. Great coffee and baked goods. I am a huge fan of their iced caramel latte. The only real downfall Is that the coffee takes forever to be made. I've been in about five times now and you'll wait awhile despite a short or long line. It's worth the wait though read more

Hi 5 Paul. I treated myself to a medium Time Lord and I didn't get her name but the lady who made my order was as also very friendly. AND OMG.. what a great cup of YUM! It was hard to pick what I wanted from all the choices on the board. I did get some coffee to bring home. They were roasted in house the other day and fresh ground for me today. It's a very quirky and independent coffee shop that is really a hidden gem in Herndon. Both aesthetically pleasing and quality strong coffee (with the same price of starbucks), it is a great and refreshing coffee shop to explore. I love a place where the coffee's good (there are over twenty selections of specialty coffees and teas), a good vibe, and a reputation for quality so high that even it's awkward location can't stop the crowd. My blueberry muffin was huge but more importantly the blueberries were moist as was the muffin. My medium roast coffee was so delicious that a dash of creamer was sufficient (no bitterness just flavor). A pleasant retreat if you can snag a seat upstairs or 'grab n go'. read more

Their coffee is ok, many flavors to choose from, but overly sweet. What was disappointing was the advertised chocolate croissants. What we got was in fact not a croissant, but dry bread. We told the person at the counter and he said they are aware that there is an issue with the vendor, but if so...why would you continue to sell the croissants when they're really just dry bread? We recommend to stop selling the croissants or any products not up to standard until the issue with the vendor is resolved. read more

I've yet to try their hot drinks, but their nitro brew was smooth and flavorful; I'd highly recommend it. It's in the middle of a random strip mall, so I wouldn't have found it were it not for their positive reviews on Yelp, but I'm so glad I did. One suggestion, but nothing worth more than an afterthought - more seating would be nice, or higher barstools at the table/bar against the windows. The ones that were available were quite short, while the table was quite high, making it uncomfortable to sit at. My boyfriend showed me this quirky little cafe months ago, but it wasn't until two weeks ago that I finally tried their coffee. As soon as I tried one of their specialty drinks (White Witch) I was blown away - what had I been missing out on all this time?! Weird Brothers is indeed a little weird - it has a sci-fi theme and has lots of Star Wars and fantasy themes, seen in the decor around the cafe and the names of their drinks. It's not what you'd expect - and I love it! Their specialty drinks are all lattes. I have tried all (14?) specialty lattes and love all of them save for two, which I'd say is a pretty great score. My favorites are the Wookie's Kiss (chai) and the Luck Dragon (marshmallow). One of the best things about their lattes are they are not TOO sweet. All of the added flavorings are subtle; at the end of the day you are still drinking an espresso beverage, not some mutated sugary extravaganza. They have punch cards that, once filled, you can use to redeem a free drink. Staff are all very friendly. I just love this cafe to death. Definitely my new spot! read more

This is a cute spot! It's kind of in the middle of a random strip mall, but it's cute inside. It's a pretty small shop with only three or four tables and two larger, more comfortable chairs. The walls were decorated with coffee-related art, which I think can also be purchased. I ordered the cold brew, and I loved it! It definitely got my wired, and it tasted great. The woman who worked there was also so sweet! She had great service and was so nice, even when I had to ask her for the wifi several times because I kept entering it wrong (oops).
