It's rare that anyone is there at Customer Service, and it's rare that any employee nearby gets someone to arrive at Customer Service within a reasonable wait. The head of Customer Service needs remedial training and attitude adjustment. We would NOT give that person any positive recommendation. That individual claimed to be the manager, when asked, which was a misleading answer to a direct question. Due to poor Customer Service we received from Customer Service and the Acting Store Manager, we decided to leave and shopped down the street at Giant Food. We had a wonderful shopping trip there. Too bad Weis lost out on a big order. Time for our allegiance to change. Isn't it funny that due to two subpar "management" employees that a customer switches to buying groceries from a neighboring store. Our conclusion is that Weis must have low standards in selecting and hiring management employees, including promoting current Weis employees into management positions. read more

Normally not a WEIS shopper. I was in the area waiting for my daughter to finish a activity after dropping her off. Since I have some time to kill I figured I would head up the street to grab some fruit from WEIS. I have never been to this location before but you pretty much know what to expect from a chain grocery store. This location seemed a bit smaller than most others I have been two. I noticed they didn't have too many carts by the entrance. It didn't really bother because I was o my getting a few things that I could carry by hand but I could see how it would be inconvenient if I had a big shopping trip. Selection of fruit was so so. Not many strawberries out and what they had didn't look all that great. They were on sale but two get one free but I was only able to find one back that was acceptable. I grabbed some blue berries as well then I was out. There was only one cashier available and that line had three people waiting. Lucky 5 out of their 6 self check out registers were open. I had no issue scanning my items and leaving within a few minutes. I noticed on my receipt that I earned 21 rewards points. However there rewards program is not easy to use and I haven't never redeemed any points. I do t even know what I can redeem for. They do need to do a better job explaining the program. Over the store was average at best. May stop back to kill time again but wouldn't make it my regular grocery store. read more

They are racist. When you enter the store and are a african american male , they will make a customer needs help in the aisle that you have walked down. I have observe them call the police in response to me walking in the store with a baseball cap on . The police did not do anything after being pointed out by the manager . I am in my 60's. read more

I'm not big into leaving reviews but I've had it with this store. It's overpriced and they've turned all the checkouts into self checkouts (screw the elderly and disabled, right?), and they sell expired and improperly stored food. I bought some chicken broth, used some and was looking at the date and thought, dang this is expired by a week or so, until I saw that the year was 2021, making it a whole year and a couple weeks expired! And I just went shopping, bought the store brand half and half because it was the only one available...it's supposed to be good through February and went bad after being open a couple of days and barely used. I have been shopping at the Weiss in Greenmount for about 5 years now. As a diabetic, one of the things I really liked was that they carried a store brand oatmeal that was sugar free and tasted just as good as any of the sugar added varieties (store brand or name brand). Unfortunately they have discontinued this product and none of the other suppliers on the shelf's have an equivalent product for sale. Neither I nor the clerk at the service deck know if it was a supplier issue or a management decision but I do hope that an alternate source of a similar product will be found. read more

I went to the Reisterstown Weis on Tuesday November 14,2023. I believed it was Senior discount day and I wanted to stock up on Weis alkaline water. I could not fimd the water where it nomally was. The store was not busy . It was about 8:15 Pm. I approached the customer service desk. It was hard to get the attention of the young lady working there because she was busy coloring in the letters on one of the Weis circulars and not looking up. She finally looked up. I asked if they still carried the Weis Alkaline Water. She told me I would have to call back at 10 am the next day. Then I went to pick up a bag of bagels. None of the registers except for self service were open. I saw a woman with a dark jacket on holding some kind of Weis card in her hand.She had to be about 3 feet from me. I was not sure if she was a customer or an employee. I looked her staright in the face and asked "Do you work here?" She did not speak. I asked again and she ever so slightly moved her head. I asked again and she finally shook her head to indicate "yes". I said how to I put my senior discount in. She said just put your card in. I put in my phone number and the discount did not appear. She told me to try it again. Still no discount. She called the person who was coloring at the customer service desk and they conclude that senior day was Thursday, not Tuesday. I walked out without buying anything. I their website. It still shows senior discount day as Tuesday. The website also shows the Alkaline water in stock. This store is the worst. The employees stand around doing nothing. If you have a question, they act as if you are annoying them. There is always work to be done in a store that size other than coloring and talking on the phone or engaging in personal conversations. read more

My first letter to Weis Market August 13, 2019 RE: Treatment 2019/06/08 Store #295 11 Village Road Reisterstown, MD 21136 Dear Customer Service Department, On Tuesday last, (2019/06/08), against my better judgment I decided to visit the neighborhood Weiss store for I was running out of time and this shop is closer and less expensive than the other shops in the area. I stopped anyway hoping to get what I needed without any unnecessary drama. I retrieved the few things I needed and headed for the cashier. The man in front of me had just paid for his purchases, placed his money in his wallet and began to walk away. Clearly his transaction was completed. I had just placed my items on the belt and the cashier asked me to scan my bonus card. No worries, I did. At that same time he asked the cashier if the store sold propane, she said "yes" and directed him to a manager next her. The cashier was in the process to ring up my first purchase when the manager said, "Ring this up for me real quick." The cashier replied, "I have ready scanned her number," with that the manager overrode the transaction and made the cashier ring up the man's purchase. I did not hear, "excuse me, do you find if I ring this up?" Or, "if you're not in a hurry would you mind terribly if we ring this up quickly?" Or any type of courtesy. The man knew this was rude and he kept apologizing, something your manager refused to do or even acknowledge. She kept on going as if I was not there, when she finished she just simply walked away. I have had issues with this manager on several occasions and she is the primary reason I go out of my way to shop at different shops that are farther and more expensive. Not that I can afford it, I do not like being treated irreverently. The best I can remember is it all started when she used to work for the Food Lion in the same location. I remember going to the help desk for something, she was there and I asked for her assistance. After rolling her eyes at me, she did assist me, however; with the distain and resentment on her face it was plain to see had had bothered her. I called the store and asked if I had done something. I was told they would look into it. A few months later, I visited your shop again, we passed in an aisle, I spoke, she did not. I am enclosing a copy of the register tally for my purchases on Tuesday last. Not much as you can see, bit of a rush. I find it deeply troubling, this woman who does not know of me nor anything about me, whose job is to assist customers, treats me as if I have stolen something. We have some things in common, we are both women of colour, we both work hard, there it ends. I treat each of my clients with respect and dignity. I greet each with a welcoming smile and a genuine willingness to assist. I am not saying she does not do this, all I can say is, she does not show/do it to me. I apologize I had to write a letter about this, I waited a week to write, I wanted the situation to pass, hoping I would forget it and move on. Pity, this one employee has made it necessary to have a customer write in and complain. I was given a gift card for my "trouble", not that I was looking for anything. I just wanted Weis to be aware what goes on in their store. It took me two weeks you pick up the card and another two to actually use it. It appears each time I visit this store there is some type of drama. I wrote to this store again a bit more than two months after the first. I went detail to describe exactly what happen, because of this went over the allotted space Yelp allows. Perhaps in a few days I may be able to share with you how this store treated a customer whose first language wasn't English and how the cashier belittled her in front of a dozen other customers, basically calling her ignorant because she was unfamiliar on how to insert her debt card. I can't tell you where to shop nor can I tell you where to spend your money. I can tell you, you have choices where to spend your hard earned dollars. There are many shops in Reisterstown who value, respect and are grateful for their customers. After going to pickup something for lunch while at work or going to grab dinner to make when I get off. I have noticed people watch you like stalkers like your gonna steal. I even approached a employee outside and told her how I felt she told me yes they do, do that. As a paying customer I will not spend my money there. I didn't think it could get any worse than Food Lion, but I was wrong. Product has been rearranged to different categories of food with no notice of where that product has been moved to. Organic produce is slim pickings, frequently product is out of stock, and many of the new cashiers have an attitude. I asked cashier/asst manager(?) I've been a 'valued' customer a long, long, time at this particular Weis. In fact, I have two cashiers that are good friends of mine. Despite this, there are some things that don't sit well with me. Other then my friends, the other cashiers/management team could use a boost. I can get most needed items here, but they are higher priced than the Giant down the road. Product selection could be a bit more vast. I hear the employees in the produce department complaining about this problem and that problem. Deli personal take a long time to even notice you except for the gentleman that is there. I don't even bother anymore, I just go to Santoni's. Please check your receipts because sometimes the sale price doesn't match the price that is rung up. I'd hope this little store would have had a better grade, but having a cashier (that I didn't know) not even tell you how much you owed and handed money back without saying anything at all put me over that happy side to a sad side. read more

Used to be a good place to shop. Employees just hang out in isles or upfront in groups. Most cashiers don't talk to you. One came in today at 6:00 with his red shirt off and was just wearing a beater undershirt behind the register for about 3 minutes. Finally put his uniform on. Very unprofessional and disgusting. I didn't think I could go any longer without fresh and affordable food at fair hours. Since Food Lion has transformed into Weis, the locations of products can still be quickly navigated, and if you can't find it, you fucking ask somebody. The food tastes good and is healthy. The workers are extremely respectful, knowledgeable, hard working, and always determined to do the best job they can. When you actually work for a living, it changes your perspective. read more
