I'm a fan of Dr. Weisenfeld and his office. I'm active duty military and work shift work, and his office is always able to squeese me in around my crazy schedule. I've always been able to be seen the same day if I had dental pain or emergency, and the dental assistant is very professional and nice. I see Dr. Lee at his office, and she is always quick to help me. I don't know much about the prices because my insurance is free and I have no co-pay. I visited Dr. Weisenfeld's office this week for a cleaning and checkup. I was seen on time by the hygienist Melissa. She was very professional and made me feel at ease. The cleaning went well and then it was time for my checkup. Dr. Weisenfeld did a very thorough checkup, not only looking for any problems with my teeth but also checking for oral problems and cancers. All went very well. I had a terrible experience at this office. On the first day, Dr. Kind took an X-ray and said I would need a root canal and that the procedure might take about 2 hours to find all the nerves. I made an appointment, took a day off, lost my money, and when I came to the appointment she told me that the X-ray wasn't clear and gave me a referral to another office to get an X-ray with a microscope. I didn't have any issues with the doctor himself. Dealing with his staff, however, made me leave and look for another dentist. Very rude, unprofessional and incompetent. They will talk over you, interrupt and lie. Taking no responsibility for their own mistakes. The catch phrase from the office manager: "I cannot change the past". It took me three weeks and multiple follow ups to make an initial appointment. I needed to repair a tooth, but was called for a check-up. Per my demand, they switched and did the emergency repair first. After that, doctor came up with the treatment plan, including some serious work. I was really looking forward to my treatment. However, most of the request they sent to my insurance returned unapproved, even for such a thing as a deep cleaning. I have been not called for the approved jobs but was called for the cleaning that insurance didn't approve. They misinformed me, saying that I only owe a small co-pay. So, I got stuck with the charge, after all. I cannot trust this office with any future scheduling, and, honestly, have no desire to interact with any of them ever again. read more

They tried to contacting me multiple times after screwing me over but I already made an appointment with another dental practice after this incident. I was originally planning to get my larger procedure and the entire family to come here but not now. If a patient can't trust their the staff to handle minor issues then how can they handle larger ones. Andrea which works in appointments/Receptionist/Biller is awful and rude. She was very argumentative with me. She should not be working with the public. She doesn't let you speak when you are on the phone, she interrupts me when I'm trying to explain myself to her. It's her way! and when you tell her she's being rude she flips it and tells you that you're the one being rude. She refuses to give me an appointment to see Dr Weisenfeld. The nerve of her. So now I know only to call on Thursday's and Saturday's when she is off. That's so bad for a Dr's office. The rest of the staff members are nice, especially Dolores, Ana, & Vickie they are wonderful. I so wish I could put ZERO stars. This office has the absolute nastiest receptionists I've ever met in my life. Not to mention that I've reached out to them over 5 times in regards to a serious matter where I thought my root canal became infected due to an UNFINISHED job, and every time I called they told me I had to call back another time. This office sucks!!! The girls are nasty and get annoyed and inconvenienced when you call to ask a question. I left this shitty office and went to Oakwood dental who treats me with respect and squeezes me in for emergency situations. Don't see the oral surgeon here. They only have one oral surgeon on staff. He's unreliable! Only there once a week and frequently cancels appointments. Oh and also tried to rip me off. He was charging me $800 for sedation for wisdom teeth removal and I ended up looking for different oral surgeon because I was tired of my canceled appointments. I only noticed he was overpricing me for sedation when I stubbed upon a different oral surgeon that charged me $400 for sedation. I suggest you shop around because this guys is a waste of time and money. P.s. We never made it to the office. We called for an appointment. We explained that we are a husband and wife & switching to Dentcare and selected Weisenfeld as our new dentist. We wanted to schedule a first visit for a light cleaning and get to know him. We were told we had to wait several weeks and only one of us could see him on that visit...lol. During the course of this conversation we were put on hold twice - very long holds. We spent more time on hold than in conversation. Today that changed for me because from calling for an appointment, being greeted by reception, accommodated by needs, hygienist the most awesome ever, down to the dentist who provided the anesthesia which I did not really even feel I had the most amazing experience ever! Dr. Weisenfeld was my family dentist for quite some time. We live a few minutes walk away, so it was prime location and they accepted our insurance, which was perfect. Whenever I had an appointment, I'd walk on over and wait in the waiting room (it's pretty nice here, everything is new). There's a nice big window looking out the front and it gives the waiting room a lot of sunshine. The wait is pretty standard for a dentists' office. When you're called, you are escorted into a hallway of rooms and they take you into one of the exam rooms. I remember the staff here always being friendly and helpful. My appointments here were always nice and easy and pretty quick. read more

This is the worst place for dental care...they seem to only care about money, drilling teeth that have no cavities and the fillings are so bad that my daughter almost lost her tooth, she was seen by another dentist and he said it was the worst job he's ever seen...he saved the tooth and prevented her from eventually needing a root canal.. and this was a baby cavity!!!!!!!!! They also messed up my sons teeth, so many fillings...every 6 months they said he had a new cavity and he doesn't eat candy or even drink soda. Stay away from them, for your teeth's sake. read more

This practice has issues. The only reason I go is because of Dr. Naskow. He's good. But for a long time, dentists kept leaving so every time I'd go, I'd get a new dentist who would need to do a whole new "treatment plan" and then he'd leave, and the treatment plan process would start all over again. Dr. Naskow's hygenist left and that was awful because she was great, put me at easy (I am a serious denta-phobe) They seem to care an awful lot about the dollar in this place. Also, if you show up early for your appointment they make you go home!!!!! And if you show up even ten minutes late you get serious attitude thrown your way, so dont be late.....or early. read more

Waiting now for 35 minutes for my appointment and when asked why it's taking so long, the receptionist informed me that the dental hygienist is training someone and that she is the only hygienist today. I wished they would have informed me and not make me waste my time. Their service is also not top notch and they are always trying to find a way to slap you with extra fees. I've not only been a patient here but also worked for dr Harry Weisnfeld over 25 years ago. Knowing his work ethics I wouldn't let anyone else touch my teeth. And even though I am fortunate to have good teeth I had an emergency with a broken tooth. I didn't let on who I was when I called and yet still got perfect care both on the phone and when I got there. A very scary day turned into a very happy one! Painless and compassionate care. I have been going to Dr. Weisenfeld for years, I was missing both my adult canines and once i reached the age of 18 i was able to finally get the work done. He fixed my top 8 teeth, giving me a bridge on both sides and veneers on my two front teeth. It took two visits and both visits went very smooth he carefully explained the whole procedure before performing it. I was a patient of Dr. Weisenfeld in HS and recently returned as an emergency patient. He remembered me after all these years and was like being reunited with an old friend! I had major pain in my back molar due to a bad cavity and all the local dentists near my office in Manhattan, including my primary, wouldn't see me. Dr. W's office thankfully squeezed me in. The root canal was quick and painless. More importantly I was comfortable, which I never am at the dentist. I highly recommend and will definitely be switching dentists now. read more

This is the worst dentist that I have ever been too. I went there for an emergency as my bridge broke in the front of my mouth. I went there from a recommendation from a friend (need to think about this friendship). The oral surgeon, the dentist, the receptionists (Especially the one who looks and sounds like Roz from Monster Inc.) are all disgustingly rude. I did not go there to be treated like they were doing this job for free. DON'T EVER GO TO THIS DENTIST!!! My work is not even done and I rather go around without any teeth in my mouth than go to that sadist ever again. During the surgery, my Novocaine wore off and the surgeon told he could not stop and continued to drill the post into my bone; it was the most painful experience I have ever felt. I came out of the surgery to be met by this nasty Roz looking billing woman (I use the term woman loosely) who is telling me that my coverage is not covering my procedure; she did not even put anything through. This place wants to over charge on all their work. Also, while I was there the first time, a billing person comes in and she starts spewing out numbers telling me that my insurance will not cover any of the procedures (again no one checked) and she is rattling off numbers. At this time I am laying there in the chair and I could feel myself going into a rage that I wound up having an anxiety attack. This was the first time that I wanted to get up and hit someone while in the dentist office. Again, do not go to this dentist office. They seriously need to be put out of business! read more

My second appointment, first was a cleaning in which Michelle the assistant was awesome this time around for a filling assistant Bernadette was very unprofessional she made need assistant Michelle to teach some somethings which include Customer Service. If you Bernadette as your assistant I suggest you request someone else or your experience will not be a good one. I was waiting to be seen she comes out calls my name and this was the only time I heard say anything. When we got to the room she was not welcoming did not say have a seat, how are you nothing not 1 word. It felt very uncomfortable. When the dentist himself came in he was nice gave me my 2 needles said it would take about 10 mins before I get numb. He leaves and come back in 10 mins as he begins to work on my teeth I gag not only because he has his 2 hands in my mouth so does this Bernadette lady I just couldnt understand for a filling and a numb mouth I needed all these hands in my mouth I gagged several times when the dentist tells me when have to cancel this appointment you need to be sedated? I need to be sedated?, or you need to work with just your 2 hands? I got up and left, numb mouth for no reason. Im so excited and happy about my teeth that i have to share my story. I never in my life thought i would be posting a review regarding my teeth. All my life i hid my teeth i was embarassed and never SMILED in any of my photos or even interacting with my friends and family. They were crowded on the top and crooked on the bottom. I had a fear of dentist since childhood and refuse to get braces. As a grown up, I visited many Dentists I had no options and was told i have to wear metal braces for many years. I felt at my age I did not want to wear braces. I use to switched dentist frequently since i did not trust them and was still facing my fear. I finally went to Dr. Weisenfelds office for a check up when he saw my teeth, i had to explain my fears and how i succumb to the reality that my teeth could never be repaired. He then explained that he can fix and straighten my teeth. He explain he can straighten my teeth so that i can SMILE and i would not have to use metal braces. i was very skeptical and untrusting. I just could not believe what he said. I thought about it and I felt if i dont do it, ill never be able to smile at my sons Weddings, my grandkids birthdays and on my vacation pics. WTH, i DID IT and I havent stop SMILING since. I can eat a pizza and bite a sandwich without it slipping out of my mouth. I love looking at my bite now on my pizzas and sandwiches,lol.
