I have been using Dr. Weisenfeld for over 25 years. He is the best. Great dentist! Explains everything and cares about his patients.

DO NOT go to these people. I only chose to go to this dental office because it's near my job. All…read morethe ladies at the front desk are rude and they talk about you in another language right in front of you. Their office is small, cramped, and there's always way too many people there. The actual dentists that work there are nice and they're the OnLy reason this place gets two stars. I went there a couple weeks ago for a 1:30 filling appointment. I went to sign in, and at 1:50 I was told "the doctor isn't here". I was dumfounded because I couldn't figure why I wasn't informed not to come there. I understand that people get sick and call out from work. That's not a problem. My issue with this place is that they never told me to not come. Not only that, but when they told me he wasn't in they were nasty about it. I thought I made a mistake so I asked when my appointment was and the girl said " today at 1:30, but the doctor's not here." They were just rude and unapologetic when they were the ones that wasted my time and travel expense by not informing my of his absence early on. I only needed one my gilling do I went back a week later. When I was done I asked for my records. And now all of a sudden they want to be nice. Saying things like " we can fax over anything to any specialist if you Need us to" and "what do u need them for? Is it for you?" " you need to come back for a root canal " " the records are 25 dollars " .... Sigh At this point I'm saying in my head " they're my records, it doesn't matter why or what I need them for. They're mine. Give em to me. The fcuk." Lol Needless to say I'm not going back and I'm telling anyone reading this to run farrrrrrrr away.

I wouldn't trust my family's dental care with anyone else! We travel quite a bit to get there and it is always worth it. Highly recommended!

I came in for pain in a tooth that lasted 1 day and resolved before my appointment…read more *After taking X-rays the first thing Dr Cisternas did was immediately chastise me for not coming in for a checkup since my last visit. I told him I lost 3 people during Covid and left his office several messages in May of 2020 but never received a call back. He told me I still needed to take care of my health, no I'm sorry for your loss, nothing! Sorry, but teeth which will eventually all fall out for everyone does not trump the life and death situations we all faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a nurse I can assure you that dealing with stress of covid in the hospital and all the deaths made my routine dental checkup less than a priority. *He told me I needed two root canals and a cap and that one of the two, a pre-molar needed treatment promptly and he could not drill and fill it per the appropriate ADA established treatment guidelines. I didn't even have pain in that tooth so it was quite a surprise. *He then conducted a pulp vitality test which based on my research was normal "a)Normal Response: Healthy pulps are expected to respond to sensitivity testing by eliciting a short, sharp pain which subsides when the stimulus is removed, indicating that the nerve fibres are present and responsive". Dr Cisternas told me that the pain I experienced confirmed I needed a root canal. Besides being inaccurate, I scarcely needed more pain from the electrical shocks when I came in because of pain in a lower molar. *Dr Cisternas advised me that he could see on the X-ray that a nerve was wrapped around the root of lower molar, this is the tooth that had brought me into his office. I worked in radiology for 9 years and as far as I know X-ray's cannot see the soft tissue of nerves. The fact of this I confirmed with another dentist. *When I told Cisternas I wasn't interested in a root canal for a tooth that wasn't hurting me, and asked for alternatives. He very condescendingly said I had two options, he could pull the pre-molar (not related to the tooth with pain that brought me in) or do a root canal and a cap. I said I would think about it and be in touch. *I was told my copay was $45, which I paid and left. 2 weeks later I called the office after I received the EOB (explanation of insurance benefits) stating I had no copayment or fees that I was responsible for. The secretary/manager told me it was for the pulp vitality test which wasn't covered. As a participating dentist his agreement with the insurance company prohibits him from passing on these charges as they considered it to be part of another procedure that was billed for. I had to contact my insurance company to obtain my refund! Later in the day I receive a call from the secretary/manager that they will issue me a refund but that they will no longer accept Aetna PPO my insurance. Who cares! Like I would go back there again! HA! I got my tooth fixed by another dentist in SI (with all 5 star reviews) without any problems at all and I am as happy as a clam. In fact, my new dentist is hands down the best dentist I have ever seen in my life! His injection skills were beyond excellent and hardly detectable. The results are perfect!
