The customer service is exceptional! While I'm often there for the typical hardware items for home projects, I can't visit the store without checking out the home area where they often have really nice decor like dish towels, candles and kitchen gadgets. The garden area is also a must visit for whimsical yard art, glass hummingbirds and healthy indoor plants. Parking lot is huge! I love everything about this store.

I was slowly freezing to death. I called True Value and asked if there was any way possible to bring a space heater to the campground for me as I was already hooked up to water and electricity and had no real way of driving into town. They took my number to check if they could and called me back in five minutes offering to bring the heater to me!! And they did!!! I wish I could remember the nice young man who drove it to me. I will be forever grateful. Service like this should be rewarded and I give them my highest recommendation.

I went into the store looking to buy another replacement and hopefully get some plumbing opinions and knowledge or tips. As soon as I came in I asked for help and got it. Several employees listened and assisted with my problem. One gentleman suggested using a screw to help remove the current stuck cartridge. Then he found the correct screw and gave it to me for free. He then said that if the cartridge didn't solve the problem, he would refund my money. I also had an issue with a toilet seat I had bought a year or so ago. The screws that held it on had basically shredded and disintegrated. They gave me a brand new toilet seat as a replacement for the defect for free! They went above and beyond my hopes and expectations. I am so proud to have them as a home improvement store in my own town. Thank you True Value for your excellent customer service!

Had to stop what I'm doing to leave a review--that helpful. Not a contractor, so he had to listen to me describe a part poorly. He deciphered what I meant, and even went so far as to research a photo a contractor sent me of what we needed. Although everyone we spoke with earlier was also unfamiliar with the item, Bill took the time to understand the project and why we may have been told to source this item.
