Alison and her team are aces! They've groomed lots of Whitmer dogs over the years, and most recently they transformed a Maltese who spent a week with us. They're esp. great with our nearly 17-yr-old mutt, making accommodations for his (lack of) mobility and always returning him looking great. How lucky of us to have some skilled pet groomers nearby. Our mutt of a so- called "shorkie", but could be a "chorkie" (the breeder might have decieved us), has this naturally scruffy look to her. Each time she comes back from Well Groomed, she almost looks dainty, lol. Her coat feels a lot softer, and of course, she smells clean; paw nails trimmed and her ears, odorless. I still give her a bath in between her grooming days, but beside smelling better, she'd still look unkempt. Poor Haru. So thank heavens for Well Groomed. The groomers here work hard. This place is quite busy, so making an appointment is recommended. read more

Wonderful local business. We've been going here for several years now and have always been extremely happy with our dogs cuts. They are easy to work with and we haven't had any issues with scheduling (as current customers- I'm not sure if they are taking on new clients at this point). I have been bringing my Goldens to Well Groomed for over 6 years. They do a consistently terrific job and are fairly priced. Goldens could be very anxious when being groomed but I've never had an issue here. I recommend them without thinking twice. read more

Here to backup Lauren F's review. New to town with a cavachon puppy and just called asking about a first groom appt. Was told they're not taking any more clients (great to be busy!), however when I asked for any local recommendations, she said she didn't know any other groomers. That's a bit of a red flag for me- if I were a business owner, I'd feel like it was a positive thing to recommend another local business, if you weren't able to take that client. So, anyone know of any local to SPF area groomers who are accepting new clients? I don't want to get her groomed at the vet. Thanks! read more

My pup needed her nails cut (so i thought) and owner said walk in fine for nails. I came, she took pup right away and assessed her nails and let me know they don't actually need to be cut because she is so active. Filed and made them nice and said no charge. Everywhere else has just been cutting her nails when they didn't need it! Also have heard wonderful things about her grooming. We'll be back. read more

I have been taking my dog to Well Groomed since he was a puppy. On January 30, 2021 he was hit by a car and killed at the age of 15 1/2. Our hearts were broken in a million pieces, the worst day of our lives. Through all this pain I sat down and wrote a heartfelt letter to Alison and Barbara telling them what happened to Beemer and why I would not be returning. I thanked them for their 15 years of service. NOTHING, no response, text, card or phone call. After 15 years I got Nothing, it broke my heart to think we were just a paying customer-nothing more. Barbara always did a good job grooming Beemer but their true colors came out. My friend lost her dog and her groomer sent her a beautiful card. It's great that businesses are busy and can't handle any more than they currently have. But when you have an attitude about it on the phone, are standoffish and rude, one can only hope your business continues to thrive and you don't need us later on. When someone calls asking if you are taking new clientele, try to be flattered and appreciative rather than rude and have no time. Again, you may need new customers one day and it takes very little time to ruin your reputation. read more

They have been grooming my dog for years and we don't go anywhere else, he is a shih tzu bichon mix and we are there faithfully every few months. I would have gave 5 stars as I have been coming here for a few years now but the last time I went my dog did came home with a tick on his face. The moment we left the store I noticed it but I thought it was a mole but when I got home I quickly realized it wasn't and immediately plucked it off with tweezers. However, I did blame myself because I did remove his flee collar days prior to his appointment. Although this situation scared me, I decided to make a appointment to come back because I believe it was a one-off occurrence. I will update my review after! read more
