We were having issues with our garage again, and called a different company. They came out and…read moregave us an extremely high quote, so we decided to order the part and replace ourselves. Well the part came and we installed, but we still had the same issue. My husband originally wanted the company to come back out and not charge us again to diagnose the issue. They agreed but could not come out until 5 days later. In the meantime while my husband was venting, I was e-mailing Michael who was quickly responding (on a Saturday). I told my husband if the other company didn't know what they were doing and were price gauging us, why should we trust them this time again? He agreed and was willing for me to find someone else. Michael had already agreed to come out the next day, but my husband wanted to confirm he wouldn't charge extra for a Sunday. He did not, so we booked! Michael came out on Sunday as promised and met with my husband in the garage to discuss our issue. He fixed our issue at a very reasonable price. My husband was with Michael the entire time of the repair and enjoyed the conversation, which just goes to show how personable Michael is, on top of being knowledgeable with garages. I personally did not meet Michael, but just based off of his quick responses to my e-mails and my husband trusting his ability, I would highly recommend you use him for all of your garage door repairs. He also scheduled a time and was very respectful of the time factors. He also promised a military discount and was true to his word. Upon coming back to town he texted me and asked to come by for an assessment. I was going to call him for the same thing!! We scheduled a time for him to come by. During the time that he arrived my grandchildren were visiting. He took it in stride and even laughed at the grandson's jokes. It was hilarious. Just writing another recommendation for Pioneer Home Repairs!!…read more I had another small job I needed completed - and to be honest - I wasn't even sure if what I wanted existed - but Zachrey Conner came up with a great solution which not only gets the job done - but was economical because he was able to use my existing hardware instead of having to start buying a bunch of expensive stuff I didn't need! We have a screened in porch on the back of our house - and we have a medium sized dog who we like to give access to both our porch and the fenced in back yard. We keep his bed, along with his food and water bowls on the porch and our solution up to now has been to prop open the screen door so he could go in and out. But about a week ago we had a pretty windy day and the wind caught the propped open door and bent it all the way open - which damaged the mechanism on the top of the door that is used to prop the door open. I went to Lowes to price a new screen door (thinking that was our only option) and while doing so I thought to myself - why dont they make a doggy door for within a screen door?? I looked at Lowes, Home Depot and even Amazon and did not find anything like what I was thinking would be a perfect solution - because I knew even if we replaced the bent door it would likely be damaged again in the future if we continued to prop it open. So - I reached out to Zach and he literally showed up at my door to talk about what I wanted within 30 minutes of texting him (like seriously - who does that)!! He said he was finishing a job near by and so he came right over. We talked about what I was wanting and he said he thought we could modify my exisiting door without too much trouble and he then told me my original door wasn't damaged - I just needed a new part for the existing door - and that part cost less than $20!! I was thrilled. We setup an appointment for him to return to do the work and he finished the job a little earlier today. Once again I am thrilled with the outcome. He installed the new part to fix my door and customized the original door by removing two vertical slats to the right hand side of the door and created a frame to support the changes in the actual screening - which he cut and added a metal piece to the bottom of and then added magnets in the frame of the door itself so it now swings open for my dog to go through but will stay closed to prevent bugs from entering an open hole - just like a doggy door is supposed to do!! Now I can use my door but keep it closed all while allowing my dog to come and go multiple times per day without having to physically let him in and out of the porch or prop open the door!! Zach is such a wonderful handyman! I highly recommend him for any repairs or maintenance work you need done! I texted the number and got an immediate response with relevant questions and, with the pictures sent, I was given a quote. Dan came out on Friday morning, keeping his quoted time, and sending me a text when enroute, as requested. He arrived, gave it an inspection, assured that the previously quoted rate was still a go, then, got to work. Down to letting us know that cash is best because it keeps him from having to charge a credit card fee...he is a class act. We even needed one wheel, as one had been lost under some stuff in the garage...yes, our garage is adulting appropriate. He had one with him and didn't charge us for this part. Not saying that would be applicable for all, after all he is in business, this is just what he did for us, and no, I never met him before this day. More than fair, professional, and knowledgeable! He even gave us heads up on a couple of things that would likely need repaired at some point, but, was honest about us not needing to spend that money right now.
