The doctor I went to before (Dr. RIcke) told me I'd be fine getting dysport about twice a year. Dr. Weiss tried a hard upsale telling me I needed at least twice as much dysport and do it every three months. I've gone twice now. The second time was by accident when I didn't realize the living social deal was for the same doctor. It looks like they have moved around quite a bit. I love my weekly appointments with Ruth and Lesha. They really know how to make you feel welcomed! I came in originally with a groupon for B12 shots and once my package was done, I continued. Both Ruth and Lesha are super friendly, they know how to treat you like they've known you for years. They are so sweet and caring, always concerned about how you are, how your feeling, if any of the shots are working, how's life, etc. I once ran into them outside of the office and they treated me like I was family, which I think is important when building client relationships. I also am part of the Relay For Life of La Jolla - they are actively assisting me in spreading the word at their office, around town, and during expos they have been participants in...I know because I got contacted a few times from other La Jolla residents and businesses. They take pride in what they do and aren't afraid to tell you (or someone like me who thinks I need everything being offered) what you need, what you don't need and what helps better. I used to go to Spa 858 when they advertised in the SD Reader. I had some Juvederm on my labal nasial fold in 2008 and it has lasted there since, it still looks alot better there. That big triangle between the nose and mouth is gone. I also had Juvederm done on my upper lip and was very pleased with the results. I don't want to go anywhere else for Juvederm injections and take the chance of not liking results. Dr Weiss gave me the exact look I was going for. I live in San Francisco and Texas and plan to get my Juvederm done here again when I am in the area. This is the physician who once owned Spa 858 in La Jolla and most recently the Center for Longevity in Carlsbad. I don't have anything against him personally, I've never even met him. I'm sure that he is well qualified and skilled at what he does. But his office staff is unprofessional and have poor customer service skills. My girlfriend was given a $250 gift certificate to Spa 858 (Dr. Weiss's former business in La Jolla). However, she wasn't able to use the gift certificate in a timely manner due to work constraints. But a gift certificate to a spa shouldn't expire, right? And on the gift certificate there was no expiration date listed. I attempted to call Dr. Weiss's office staff since Spa 858 closed. His office staff was very difficult to reach and frequently they did not return my calls. When I reached his office staff,they had moved to Carlsbad. His office manager asked me to fax the original gift certificate which I did. She never called back or confirmed that she had received the fax. When I called back the following week she told me that she never received it. So once again I faxed it to the same number. I called immediately afterwards to confirm that she ha received it. She stated that she had, and that was the last I heard from her and that was two weeks ago. She never called back to tell us that they would honor the gift ceritifcate that was purchased in GOOD faith from Dr Weiss business. Dealing with Dr. Weiss office staff has been an excercise in frustration. They have been very evasive and they need to improve their customer servie skills. Don't waste your money. I've disputed my charge with this heinous office. I've gotten Botox before, just to get rid of my 11's, it usually only takes 15 units. I saw a deal come across my email, and decided to call the office directly so they wouldn't have to split it with the company blasting their deal. I got an appointment right away and drove up to La Jolla, where I waited for almost 35 mins to be seen. This doctor was unprofessional, and looked like a creeper. He told me I need 20 units and that he was going to use a new product, because he liked it better. I asked him to stick with Botox please, but he insisted, and then poked my face and sent me away. Victim of the living social deal 50 units of Dysport or 20 units of Botox. I just wanted my frown lines done between my eyes. I have researched this deal before I bought it and even called to verify this amount would be enough for the area I was interested in. The receptionist said it would because that is the amount she and most people require. The coupon also states that if you don't need the whole amount you can use over multiple visits. So, Dr. Weiss comes in and immediately begins telling me that I would need 40 to 50 more units at 4.00 a unit. I about fell out of my chair. I told him that was not what was stated to me over the phone and that it is stated over multiple uses that he denied was on the deal. Luckily I had printed the offer and showed him the multiple uses and how missleading that clearly was. I told him I would just take what I paid for and cut my losses if it didn't work. Well it was about 4 pokes worth and everything looks good. I am 40 years old and my face doesn't look it at all. Just trying to get rid of the frown line. He really wanted to do my entire face. I left after my initial appointment feeling totally taken advantage of! I bought a deal for 60 units of Dysport and was told that would only do the space between my eyes. This was fine with me but the Dr. convinced me to do my forehead, and and around my eyes which was a lot more than I wanted to do. I ended up spending an additional $500 because the receptionist said they double the units when adding up the charges, which made no sense to me but being a newbie to this procedure I didn't have any reference point. Dr. Weiss has horrible bed side manor. He was rude from the get go when I told him I only wanted as much Dysport as my Living Social would allow. This is not my first time, and I knew it would be enough. He was obviously annoyed, and kept saying it wasn't going to work. I needed to purchase more to see results. I explained to him, I hadn't gotten any injections in a while, but I knew this would be enough. I humored him, and asked how much more he thought I needed. He said approximately 40 more units. I asked how much, and he said almost $200(round about figures). He acted like $200 was nothing, and kept repeating that it was still way under cost. Basically like he was losing money with this deal. I told him these deals are good bc if we like you, we could become regular customers which in turn makes him business. He did not agree, and kept pushing me to buy more. Bought 50 units of dysport on a living social deal back in march. I read the reviews first however generally like to give people the benefit of the doubt. Making my appt was easy and quick seeing as how the receptionist was both organized and friendly. When I got there the receptionist was just as friendly and helpful. I did have to wait for the doctor a bit and he did try to sell me on more units. At the same time he is running a business, what business doesn't try to upsell? I was firm in getting only to 50 I came in with and he was fine with that saying I could always come in and get more if needed. In the past year I significantly increased my involvement in fitness and health and as a result got closer to achieving my dream body but I struggled with the last couple pounds I wanted to lose. I met Dr.Weiss through my Gym (The boxing club, also highly recommend) and he started giving me fitness and diet tips, which completely changed my view on food and how it affects your body. He basically gave me the proper knowledge to reach my goal weight and fitness level and as a result I feel so much better and therefore happier. Other than being a fantastic doctor with numerous qualifications, (seriously Dr.Weiss and Lesha offer sooo many amazing services) Dr.Weiss is also one of the most down to Earth and personable doctors I know, and I know a lot since I'm a pre-med student and have interned in the surgical field. He is very approachable, knowledgable and he has a very "real" sense of humor, which I find hilarious but according to some of the other reviews I guess not all of his patients understand him. I think it's great that he tries to really connect with his patients and not advertise the typical "superior doctor" personality type. A doctor who is personable allows patients to more comfortably relate to them and it becomes easier to explain their problems, which allows the doctor to offer better treatment and advice to further improve the patient's health. The way Wellness and Longevity medical group is run is different from any other medical practice and I enjoy the comfortable, fun and relaxed environment that made it okay to talk about eating disorders, medication, sexual activity and really anything with Lesha and Dr.Weiss and therefore allowed me to really look and feel amazing inside and out. I now come into the office twice a week to get vitamin injections and a weekly weigh in to track my body fat percentage and muscle mass since I never want to fall off track and lose my "new self" ever again. Dr. Weiss also gave me a deal on his dysport injections for my Birthday recently and I must say he is very talented with needles and injections as it was painless and I definitely don't look frozen or overdone but am wrinkle free, which is obviously the goal. Also Lesha's vitamin injections are the best! I swear they boost your immunity, energy and stamina and the pricing on the different vitamin cocktails is beyond reasonable for the quality. I've tried out almost all of the vitamin cocktails and have felt great after each of them (although the heavy hitter is my favorite since I'm a gym/work out freak). There were only 2 people counting myself in waiting room & they took almost 2 HOURS ...We both walked up to say we werent waiting longer when they said well the doctor can take one of you now... Very disappointed. I bought a KGB deal for 50 units of Dysport, thinking that it would be enough for my forehead, since it only took 40 units the last time I had it with a different doctor, which lasted 4 months(also my 1st time). I sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes after my appointment and the doctor seemed all about money and he kept telling me that is not possible for it to work with only 40 units. He made me feel like I was crazy and I was making it up. Feeling intimidated and small, I listened and let him put 84 units, plus 60 for my glabbella, and I still had to go back because it was uneven and looked funny when I raised my eyebrows(which i still could, a lot) and I could still frown completely. He said that most guys take about 100 units for the glabella. I just wanted it to work, so I let him con me into 138 more units!! I couldn't believe that he was doing this in front of me, like i wouldn't notice, but he was diluting the already liquid Dysport with bacteriostatic sodium chloride. I read that Dysport comes in a powder form and is only reconstitued with this at 0.9 mg of sodium chloride. It has been a month and I am already having movement. Total scam. I feel like I was totally taken advantage of. I know that it can work properly with about 40 units per area. Mad that I let him intimidate me and that I wasted that much money. read more

I have received Botox several times and Dr. Weiss seemed like he didn't know what he was doing. He took a long time to figure out how much he was putting in my forehead. It looked like to me he was diluting the Dysport but kept mentioning how he makes it more concentrated than other doctors. Which leads me I believe he is lying. I have had Botox and Dysport several times now and he was the MOST unprofessional doctor I have ever come across. And I am not a super high maintenance women when it comes to this stuff. Although I had some problems finding the place because of my GPS, ugh!! I was able to make it to the office. I filled out my paperwork, and was taken back to see the Doctor. The Nurse who talked to me first was very friendly and knowledgeable and let me know what to expect and if I wanted additional units it would be four dollars per unit. I waited about 15min for Dr. Weiss to come in the room, which for a Doctor is pretty quick. Dr. Weiss was very funny, but thorough and very professional throughout the whole procedure. He let me know I needed additional units, which I was expecting. He also asked what my budget was and was willing to work with me. I was very impressed with how he opened the bottle and mixed it in front of me, which let me know it was fresh and wasn't diluted. I just went for 50 units of Dysport on a Reader City Deal. I even brought a friend so we could go to a nice happy hour after. First, after filling out paperwork they say they are out of Dysport . I had to ask if they would substitute Botox rather than lose the entire afternoon off work. This doctor, George Weiss M.D., said the money I just spent on this deal was worthless unless I bought more Botox. I didn't tell him that he charges 35% more than my regular doctor, because frankly he seemed so pushy about upselling me I didn't trust him to buy more. More importantly, he diluted the Botox vile to what extent was unclear, jabbed me 3 times and then finally said I probably wouldn't see any results. He was right. This is definitely the place to go for Vitamin B injections. I've been getting them here for a month and my stress has gone down and overall I feel amazing! I've gotten Vitamin injections at other places but have never felt the level of energy I do when I get them from Lesha. They have all different kinds of amino acids and special "cocktail shots" they customize for you depending on your symptoms. Most recently, Lesha did a micro-needling treatment on me and WOW what a difference that has made with my skin with only one treatment!
