Been coming here for a few months and dr. Jane is super sweet. Hayley and Dianna are nice too. The chiropractic services are great but some times you have to wait awhile to get your adjustment. I went to see Dr. Nona Djavid for my neck and she provided an invaluable service to me. She was very thorough in acquiring information about my symptoms and past medical history. I started out with many faints while running miles during my junior year. It became a problem once they became frequent. My mother notice that my back was crooked one day and that it was not "normal". I went to get my back checked up and I was diagnosed with a severe scoliosis. The doctors decided that I should be wearing a brace for my back to be corrected. However, I did not want to be going around wearing something uncomfortable everyday. It was then decided that I get transferred to another place where they took an x-Ray of my back. They decided it was best if I come back another year to see how my back is and surgery would be the only option. Of course having surgery may correct my spine but in a unhealthy and unsafe way. You do not realize the things you have until it is gone. When I was little I fell out of a moving car and received a concussion. Yelp let me down on this referral. I had tweaked my siattic and was in dire need of an adjustment. When I made the appointment I was clear that my intention was to get some immediate relief. This chiropractor does not do adjustments during the initial visit. My feeling is that information should have been given to me up front since I had indicated that I was seeking immediate relief. So there I was at the end of the consultation - still in pain and leaving town on business the following day. I felt I was ripped off! My advice - look elsewhere! This chiropractor is more interested in clients that want long term treatments and will subscribe to their diet products. You are also treated more like an "applicant" instead of a patient as numerous times I heard the phrase "if accepted" or "after we review and accept your application". HOGWASH! UPDATE to the below post: I've thus far lost 40lbs! Wellness Choice has an EXCELLENT weight-loss program/coach. From May 18-Aug 14-- I've lost thus far: 25lbs (ie averaging 2.6 lbs per week) and most of it is FAT and NOT any of it is muscle! I searched high-and -low looking for a great weight loss program in Orange County. I was looking for the best. I took my time finding the best weight-loss coach in my area by calling & talking to various weight-loss coaches, and also going to their websites, Facebook pages, etc. I'm THANKFUL to say I found the best weight loss program. The coach I worked with is an RN, MSN, MSME and has been for 43 yrs in nutrition/weight loss and wellness. There are MANY things I like about him being my coach. First off he is thin himself-- ie I personally don't want anyone mentoring me that isn't discipline themself and he indeed is. Also his clinic is clean and nice too. Some of the various coaches (from the various clinics that I was interviewing) that I talked to sounded great on the phone-- but by looking at various online photos of them you could see some of them looked either a Lil' disheveled, no picture of them, and/or a little overweight themselves or a bit too busy being a chiropractor in their clinic. Another thing I like is that they also have one of those $12,000 BODY COMPOSITION ANALYSIS SCALES/MACHINES and having that particular scale/machine is extremely helpful in your weightless!!! It tells you everything that's going on inside you as far as how much fat you have, water-in-take etc. When looking for a coach it's important you have a coach that has modern technology like this--- You want to get the most for your money. My weight loss coach is also caring, non-judgmental, very cordial, thoughtful, consistent, a family man (he has a beautiful wife & family.. his one daughter is a chiropractor at one of the clinics), always there (so to speak), always returns a call or text, always encouraging, and believe it or not he's good at math when figuring out calories and weight loss scenarios :) ... and he slowly explains MANY of my questions that I've had about weight-loss by talking and jotting those notes down to for me as well -- talking too about such terms (and the background behind) the word KETOSIS. Getting to what is called "Ketosis" is an important key to weight-loss -- and this Diet is a Low Carb/ Low Fat Diet. The weight-loss program is superior to Ideal Protein Diet and or any other weight-loss program. They take it to the next level. Variety of foods is great. Lots of recipes and ideas. Surprisingly I've done ZERO exercise -- and I'm slowly MELTING away day-by-day-- pound by pound-- ounce by ounce!! I'm eating a good amount of protein (Half my bodyweight in Protein)-- and lots of veggies (certain kinds) which all combined together is a RECIPE for you to BURN FAT-- and do so too while you sleep. Because I'm in "Ketosis" I find myself, for the most part, constantly satisfied and my appetite is for the most part suppressed. It's a miracle that I've lost weight-- I've got some seriously tough fat but now I feel like I know the secret to losing weight-- and like I said day-by-day my fat is literally melting off. :) And if I happen to go some days or 1 week of plateauing my weight loss coach explains what's happening and he can tell what's happening by looking at my: Body Composition Analysis Reading. The first 2-3 days of this diet are the toughest-- and then it gets much easier and very encouraging as you see yourself dropping the pounds-- and you start LOVING this diet as you lose 7-10lbs in the first 7-14 days? Right now I'm averaging around 2.6 lbs a week. The weight-loss coach is only focused on weight-loss or should I say fat loss. He is not focused on being a Chiropractor or other things. He is only interested and invested in your weight-loss success and not selling anything else to you. Actually his daughter is a Chiropractor at this clinic but she is focused on her patients only-- and he is focused on weight-loss only. They are the dynamic duo and seem to work well around one another -- along with the other chiropractors around. I have taken so many notes in two months and have learned a lot from him. He has a good amount of food (protein / low carb food as variety is important. I go to the clinic once a week for a weigh-in and to talk about any questions I might have and I usually leave every-other-week with two weeks of food and vitamins/supplements. One time I had to bring a couple kids with me and it was so nice that they have a special room just for kids-- for them to color and play with toys-- & he's just great with kids himself-- being a dad and youngish grandpa himself. As far as money goes-- I'd say don't be afraid to pay into something like this-- when you pay money you are placing more value on it-- and you (we) will be focused on not wanting to mess up. I was referred to Dr. Nona by a couple of good friends after being in an accident. I was nervous at first about seeing a Chiropractor because I had never been to one before. I made my appointment and went in and immediately felt comfortable. The entire staff was so friendly each and every visit. I started corrective care and was there so often and Dr. Nona & her staff made it feel like an extension of home. They were all curious about how things in my life were going and I am always greeted by name. The scheduling is pretty flexible and the care I have received has been so helpful. From day one, my experience with the Wellness choice center was amazing! Dr. Nona and her staff are skilled and compassionate people and I am so grateful for all of their help!! I went to Dr. Nona because of tightness and limited range of motion in my thoracic spine. I've had issues with my thoracic spine for as long as I can remember and being a lifelong fitness enthusiast I was limited by the types of activities I could perform. A few years ago I decided to broaden my weightlifting skills and had taken up the sports of Olympic Weightlifting and Strong Man. Unfortunately due to the nature of my kyphotic thoracic spine I was severely limited in my ability to participate in these sports especially on all the overhead motions. I spent the next two years doing everything I possibly could including working with other professionals to correct my spine and increase my range of motion. In the two years I'd made some good improvements on my range of motion and I was actually able to perform some of the overhead movements but unfortunately I was still very limited by my spine. Then I met Dr. Nona and started at the Wellness Choice center. I spent the next few months doing exactly what Nona told me including getting regular massages and everything changed! Within a few weeks I started to notice a slight difference and now a few months later I am completely amazed.
