I was introduced to Drew through the UCI women's basketball program because I was having a rotator cuff/SLAP tear issue that required some physical therapy. Prior to meeting Drew, I spent six months with a different physical therapy team and had yet to see much progress. Drew did an initial assessment and workout with me and recommended a course of action. He assigned me to a fantastic therapist named Emily. What I like about Emily and the whole Motus team is that I get to spend the entire session with a physical therapist. This is such a refreshing change from seeing the PT for 10 minutes and then working with an assistant for the whole time. Moreover, I learned from talking to Emily about the very high standards that Drew has for hiring his team and the advanced education that he requires to qualify for an interview. His team has a lot of experience working with college and pro athletes, which tells me they are outstanding. My experience has been fantastic! I went from not being able to do a push-up due to my rotator cuff to being able to complete a full-body workout with no pain. At the same time, I have a very unique program that I can do with me when my time ends, and I was being pushed every workout that I had. Since I'm an old dude trying to live like a young dude, I occasionally run into some nagging injuries. My daughter (dancer) was diagnosed with 2 herniated discs at 17 years old and was told by the orthopedic surgeon said she would never dance again. Our first concern was getting her out of pain, but we were also hoping she would be able to dance again one day. We were referred to MOTUS and she started working with Ally who is not only knowledgeable, but incredibly caring and understanding of our daughter's diagnosis and goal to dance again. After my first visit with Dr. Drew, the mobility in my shoulder was smoother then it has ever been in my life. He spent the entire hour appointment working with me on various stretches, manual therapy, utilizing tech equipment, as well as teaching me how to activate specific muscles to begin correcting an imbalance. By far the best PT you can get. My back has been hurting me for the past two years and a couple different PT's gave me different exercises to do after going to see them a couple times a month and it was pretty much a waste of time. I recently injured my quad playing soccer and I didn't think it was that bad until the following day. I could not walk at all. A friend recommended Drew Morcos and his staff at Motus. They were beyond incredible and their staff were friendly. They identified the problem and started treating me right away. The following day I was able to work and walk normally. Drew Morcos began treating my 8th grade daughter in fall '16 for chronic heel pain that we had attributed to Seviers Disease. It was keeping her from playing soccer and running track and XC. Motus was great. I called them up after spraining my ankle pretty bad during a basketball game. I thought I was at least out for a couple months because I was on crutches and couldn't put any pressure for two weeks.
