Pham took the time to understand my situation and created a personalized rehabilitation program that truly worked. His attention to detail, depth of knowledge, and commitment to my recovery were exceptional. Week after week, Pham guided me through a thoughtful progression that not only restored my strength but built my confidence. Thanks to him, I'm now able to sprint, cut, and--most importantly--play with my kids again pain-free. After my knee surgery, I needed physical therapy, and I was so glad to get an appointment quickly at Pro Sports Physical Therapy. My main therapist, Sam, was wonderful--very professional, fun to work with, and always encouraging. She really helped me recover smoothly. I also had a few sessions with Mr. Tao and Chris, who were both great, and the assistant Zola was very helpful too. The whole team works efficiently, and the way they run the program makes it easy to get appointments without a long wait. I've been to a lot of physical therapists for all kinds of injuries over the years, ProSport, and specifically DPT Pham, were very attentive to my needs and progression, and helped me to build a plan to make progress on my injury outside of the clinic. This is not the kind of place where you come in to get a massage and sent on your way - they give you homework on how to make your injury better, and provide progressions week to week as your symptoms improve. If you want quality physical therapy tailored to the concept of actually making things better over time and not just short term relief of symptoms, ProSport is a great choice. I worked with them after suffering a brutal back injury and over the course of the year, I received care from the entire PT staff and I can wholeheartedly say the whole PT staff is compromised of consummate caring professionals focused on getting you healed. Everyone on staff is chill. I have been seeing this facility since December and had reasonable results. Much of the success has been the consistent any of seeing the same group of therapists and the awesome record keeping to keep progressing forward. Not going to name favorites, but PTs - Stacey, Sydney Sammy, Paul, and Chris are fantastic! I know I missed a name or two...sorry. My experience at Prosport Costa Mesa was extremely disappointing. At this facility, patients are only allotted 15-20 minutes with a licensed physical therapist for manual therapy and consultation. The remaining time is spent with an unlicensed assistant, many of whom have not completed or even started PT school. These assistants are tasked with modeling exercises. However, they do not remain with the patient during the session as they are juggling multiple patients at once, or are simply inattentive and socialize among themselves. In my experience, the assistant was absent while I performed my exercises and did not check in to see how I was doing or ensure that I was performing the exercises accurately. To charge $336-356 per hour for this level of service feels completely unethical and profit driven rather than patient centered. I have received care at other facilities such as UCI Health or Susan Samueli where a licensed therapist attends to the patient for the full duration of the session and will be returning there. read more

I will definately NOT go back nor refer this place! They had TWO days to verify my insurance from the day THEY made the appointment & still couldn't verify it when I came in for my appointment. They then tried to stall & make me wait while their incompetanxe grew by the minute. They then claimed that they could treat me if I wanted to pay FULL price as 'we' discussed. THAT was NEVER previously discussed. What WAS discussed was that they would tell me how much my insurance would cover when I came in. WTF happened to the hippocratic oath? Oh wait, these people AREN'T doctors, they're money hungry frauds who could care less about one's well being or in aiding in the road of one's recovery. EVERY business that has been in this building has always been callous. The cross fit that was there didn't care that I injured myself on their workout in their roof & this place wants to charge me before treating me....I wasn't born yesterday. BAD business model! What. A. Journey. I've been a customer since 2017 and have always enjoyed working with the PT specialists here. Last year around August I sustained a serious injury that required shoulder repair. As one can imagine I was pretty down for those six weeks in the sling, but the professionals here worked hard to get me back in shape, and I'm happy to say that I have been discharged from shoulder surgery as of today. Here are some reasons why you should have your doctor refer to ProSport, if you need physical therapy: --The PT Specialists. All the PT Specialists here will work hard to meet your needs and go the extra effort to make sure you stay on the road to recovery. I really enjoyed working with Ray who also has his own dry needle therapy business here. Scheduling can be tough with Ray, but he is an excellent conversationalist and does amazing work with massage and giving the right exercises. For the past six months (and for a period time previously) I worked with Victor, who has been my go-to man for everything. He is energetic, knowledgeable, compassionate, and patient. Every time I ask him a question about body mechanics, exercises, health, etc. he answers with confidence and articulation, but is very skilled at effectively communicating complex concepts and ideas to where I can understand and apply it to my regimen. It's no wonder why he won PT of the month this January--he definitely has my vote. Not only that, with his massage techniques and exercises, I am six months post surgery feeling better than before (see photo) and am equipped with the knowledge and exercises to continue working on my shoulder at home. --The Aides. All of the aides undergo training so that they can teach exercises to patients and make sure you are performing good technique. Juan is awesome, and Amanda is great as well. They are all very energetic and eager to help patients. --Facility. Great vibe overall. There are a lot of jerseys signed by famous athletes. Sometimes you might run into professional athletes here as well. Old school MMA Fighter Tito Ortiz has some of his gear mounted on the wall, and apparently he still visits ProSport to get some sessions in. --Results. If you come to ProSport with a good attitude and a willingness to learn the exercises they provide you, you will get results. Take the time to find a PT that fits your style and personality, and let them guide you on the journey to better posture and body mechanics that can help prevent injury. read more

I worked with Kevin Castillo for 7 months after shoulder surgery and I had a great experience. Coming off my first major surgery I wasn't sure if I'd ever recover the strength and mobility I had pre-injury but with Kevin's help I'm feeling stronger than I ever have. He was extremely focused on me as a patient and was dedicated to getting my shoulder back to 100% The entire team and office staff was great. The facilities/equipment are clean and well kept. I've been going to ProSport for just about a year now and it was one of the best decisions I've made. I've had chronic lower back pain for over a decade and my AMZING PT, Kylie N, helped me gain strength, confidence, and a sense of normalcy with the pain. I injured my ankle in the desert and had to get surgery. I am extremely active and I needed my ankle to be as healed as possible before a race I had in April. my therapist Kevin Castillo helped me out and got me fully dialed in just a few months. My first visit was with dr. Heather. I didn't like the helper, so I change doctor. My new doctor was Victor, the second visit with him introduced me to a student. From the day on I never saw VICTOR again, was there almost 2 months and the student always help me. I pay to see a doctor, not to be help by an INTERN. I told the student I'm going to stop coming, he replied let us know when you gonna stop coming to discharge you. I didn't bother. Shame on Victor never checked on my progress at all. I went to ProSport - Costa Mesa for roughly a year to rehab a herniated disc post microdiscectomy and have no complaints. Their front desk was extremely responsive and was always able to squeeze me into a therapists schedule if I had a last minute change, assistants were friendly and always checked in to make sure I was doing my exercises correctly, and therapists were very knowledgeable and gave in depth treatment. The exercises gave my back relief, were challenging enough to act as a workout, and helped me build strength and confidence. I specifically worked with Sam Baumler and would recommend seeing her if possible. Although you'd be in great hands working with any of the other therapists. read more

These guys are miracle workers. Seriously, absolute fucking wizards. My PT was a dude named Victor - I came in here with a seriously aggravated hip flexor the first time, a bulging disc in my back the second, and an unidentifiable strain in my lats the third time. Initially, I had gone nearly a year without being able to squat weight. I legitimately thought I wouldn't ever be able to squat weight again. Today I'm powerlifting without issue. 1000lb club, and a Wilks coefficient worthy of regionals. I owe these guys a tremendous deal and I don't know what I would have done without their help. The exercises can be tough as nails, but only if you're trying to drive your recovery home. And they'll help you, be there for you, every step of the way. ProSport changed my life. read more

I highly recommend ProSport. Referred by my orthopedic surgeon (Dr. Bruce Albert) after ACL reconstruction surgery. I spend the last 3 months working with physical therapist Brent Talley. My knee responded well to all the exercises he put me through. He pushed the boundaries as necessary and I have near full range of motion and no pain (except if I overdo it). I'm only 3 1/2 months into what is a 6+ rehab to full recovery. But I did just hike 23 miles with 5k gain this weekend using the proper walking techniques as shown to me by Brent. I was also impressed by all the aides who put me through the exercises. All were good but special thanks to Marissa, Austin and Juan as they were exceptional. read more

Not happy about having to undergo PT, but I must say I'm super impressed with not only the excellent service, and positive "Can Do" attitude of all the staff here - especially my wonderful PDT Dr. Patrick Everette - but the deep knowledge base I know I can depend upon to recover after my injuries. I see these folks at least twice a week, and they never fail to impress me...best part? Though I still have a long way to go, with their help, I've made huge strides, and look forward to being able to recover fully from this car accident. The facility is super clean, conveniently located, has tons of safe, well lit free parking, and the staff is friendly, professional, and flexible. You can put me down as agreeing with every single "5-star" rating here! As a 73-year-old woman who has always been one to avoid anything "medical". ProSport Therapy is the place for me. I hope they NEVER take down the football jerseys that decorate the walls of this awesome place. I think they must be jerseys of famous players who have been treated here, but just seeing them decorate the place makes me feel young and hopeful in this kind of environment. There are people of all ages at ProSport. There was a young cheerleading type teenager on the table next to me; a 20-something guy who had had knee surgery; and even a child who seemed to me to be about 10! However, above all of those positive features, it's the professionalism of each and every one of the staff members that makes this facility outstanding. ProSport was first recommended to me two years ago by my doctor. By the time I finished my sessions, I felt no pain! This year I was referred for preparation for possible hip replacement. As the orthopedic doctor started to assign me to a physical therapy center, I asked if I could go to ProSport. He didn't have to think twice. So far, this time around, I have seen Annie, Juan, and Gabe. I have also worked with Joel, Briel, and a few others whose name I forgot. (I AM 74, so there's that.) Seriously, there is no place more professional or more uplifting in atmosphere that you'll find. It's natural for a person to be a fan of someone who takes away his or her pain. It's a bigger place than usual. I start off with the same trainer, Kylie, every time and she listens, is very encouraging and gets me through a variety of exercises. I was sure I needed surgery for a torn meniscus but the surgeon recommended PT. It seems to be working. My legs are definitely more stable. read more

This one star review is for the front-desk customer service/billing related service only. I will note that the PT's are knowledgeable and efficient. However, I will NEVER return to ProSports to give them business again because of the phone threats this billing lady has made to me about sending my bills (which were a result of their accounting mistakes) to the collections agencies. Here is the background story... I am a UCI student, and was referred to ProSports by my primary doctor. The experience with the PT's are great and made pretty good progress. However, due to an incident, I had to get a re-evaluation, which the PT went ahead and performed. For this new evaluation, there needed to be a separate medical referral, which the insurance billing staff should have informed the client and taken care of obtaining the appropriate document before the scheduled appointment. It was not, the evaluation took place and the billing department was desperately trying to get the client to come up with the hefty fee or doctor's referral. My doctor had faxed over the referral twice to ProSports, but for some reason their billing staff keeps calling and threatening to send me to collections because they lost the faxed referral. The whole situation was escalated by this lady who does not seem to know what she is doing but is adamant that she is in the right. I don't see how losing a faxed document containing sensitive health records is an excuse for blaming your client and threatening them. I would consider coming back if the billing staff was replaced with individuals more focused on customer service and actually resolving issues. read more

Worst outcomes for serious injuries and post op recoveries. This place is a meat market more concerned with collecting money versus providing quality PT. Staff is nice enough, but does not make up for lack of experience and poor care. In my case I visited for several weeks as they are partners with my surgery group. They were incapable of diagnosing aggressive scaring post op preventing knee from full extension, flexion. One visit to a competing PT clinic, and they noticed the need for scar removal procedure, which resulted in full ROM. Plenty of other caring competent PT clinics in area, this is not one of them. read more

ProSport has experienced, knowledgeable, and understanding physical therapists, and I would highly recommend this place. Ray has been treating me since last October and I have made significant improvements in my recovery process. For context, I am an active Ultimate Frisbee player and I value being able to play with the team and participate in other sports. I've had chronic ankle and knee injuries since last April and went to a different physical therapy place then. During that six months, I was not able to play Ultimate and it was an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience because of the ineffective manual therapy and exercises that were given. Since coming to ProSport, with the help of Ray and the aides, I was able to reduce the chronic pain, regain strength and mobility, and play Ultimate again. I also felt respected and treated like an athlete. I trust Ray's intellect and skills, and would highly recommend him to anyone who would like to recover and do the things that they love. read more

The experience I've had at Prosports Physical Therapy has been exceptional!! My 11 year old son had a stem cell procedure done on his elbow at the Andrew's Institute in Florida. To our knowledge, this was a first of its kind procedure on a child in the US, and required a top notch therapy partner to get the outcome we desire. Upon returning, it was incumbent upon me as a dad and as a Doctor of Chiropractic to locate the physical therapy and rehabilitation office in my area that could handle a unique case. Lee and Samantha have worked diligently to help my son make massive progress! They've been creative and focused. They've partnered with our surgeon all the way! I tore my ACL and Meniscus 5 months ago and have had 2 surgeries since. Previous to this injury, I have had many other injuries in the past that have led me to physical therapy at random facilities I found online. I will never go to another physical therapy facility other than Prosport again. I have never witnessed such an outgoing and intelligent staff. They are really passionate about their jobs and do what they can to get you back to 110%. I have been fortunate enough to work with Gabe Ignacio majority of the time and some others that work there as well. Had some bad slipped discs as a result of a car accident a year back. In fear of hurting my back again I'd avoid things I previously enjoyed such as snowboarding, hiking, and lifting.
