Helped me print my referral, helped find the fax number and was so patient having to re-register my son. Dasiah, and Monique were so helpful getting everything ready and drawing his blood. All of this was twenty minutes before they closed. We didn't leave until 5min after they closed. I was still having major issues and wanted to speak to the PA that I saw. She called me back before the end of the day and called in a new prescription for me. She cared.... If they aren't going to help you between 330-4 pm they should close at 330 pm. We went up Olde Keene Mill and found Inova urgent care which was perfect as their hours are 8-8 pm. My husband had a bad experience when he went to get help and was told there weren't any doctors on duty. He had to leave and find another urgent care. The waiting room was silent and the workers in the lab were chitchatting waaay too loud. When I returned there was an elderly man being told he would be let in next because of his condition. The tech said they were understaffed and closed the door to the lab. The old man complained under his breath he was spending his whole day there. However, there were several concerns during the draw: - He did not wash or sanitize his hands even though hand sanitizer was available on the side table and I offered it verbally. - He brought only one pair of gloves and used them after touching a non-sterile pillow, with no clean pair to switch into. - After using alcohol to prep the site, he wiped the site with a rough gauze that accidentally scratched my skin. (Past phlebotomists just let it air dry.) - The pressure wrap applied afterward wasn't even looped around my arm twice, so it didn't stay in place.

When he arrived, he was well prepared and checked over the test kit and noticed that the mailing bag was missing which I was able to easily find. He was very quick and it was very obvious he has a lot of experience. He explained what the test required running it through a centrifuge before he can mail it to the lab. He was done very quickly and was out the door in only a few minutes. This was so convenient that I plan to check with him for my future lab work.
