(THIS WAS A COUPLE MONTHS AGO) Went in to get help after struggling with some sort of illness for a week. Symptoms including: Post Nasal Drip, Extreme Fatigue, Sore Throat, Clogged Ears, Intense Shivers all throughout my body, ETC. Was taking Ibuprofen and Tylenol whenever I could due to how much pain I was in. Got tested for strep and COVID. No other tests were done. Sat waiting in the room for over an hour. Nurse came into the room and told us we were free to leave half an hour ago and both tests came back negative. After returning once more a couple days later literally only getting tested for strep (they already did this not even 3 days ago), I finally made an appointment and went to my doctor. Turns out I had a severe sinus infection and was immediately put on antibiotics. Suffered for about another month with the after effects of it. A little more tests would have been nice. read more

So I went and made appointments for both of my girls. The receptionist was the most rude and inconsiderate person. If you have an issue with someone voice level coming in being rude and making whatever smart comments you want because I didn't parent the way you think I should? How dare someone who isn't even someone i came to bring my girls in to see walk into room 1 and threaten me telling me there are other patients yeah i get that but i can hear every single thing you are saying through the door... maybe you should shut your mouth also. And because i stated i was calling my worker she had the nerve to tell me to have her come here then... who the fuck are you to say that? You have zero right to put your opinion or assumption about anything to do with me my children or my parenting... last time i checked the receptionist isnt someone i have to listen to about how to parent my children. read more

Here is my review: I would recommend the entire staff especially the doctor. I was made comfortable from the moment I walked in to the minute I walked out the door. Very attentive. I was a person and not a number. The facility was bright and clean. They even had a slushy machine. What a great idea!! I was recommending WellNow as soon as I got back in my car and again when I got home. They get a solid 10 from me and if I could give them a 100 I would. All smiles. Virginia M read more

Today I visited the Well Now in Rome NY. This was truly the worst medical experience ive ever had, and ive gone through life with nothing but military Healthcare up until this point, which is notoriously bad. I try to be pretty lenient and understanding when it comes to my public dealings, but today was simply unacceptable for a medical office operating in the midst of a worldwide pandemic. For starters, I'd had a preset appointment at 11AM. After checking in and sitting in the car for 30 mins past my appointment time, i decided to call in to make sure i hadn't been forgotten, and was told there had been a few emergencies, but they would get me back when they could. I waited another 30, and still heard nothing, so called in again. I was told they were still dealing with emergiencies and again would get me back when they could. I was finally seen at 1230, an hour and a half past my appointment time. As they'd stated there was emergencies, i decided not to complain about the wait, and give them the benefit of the doubt, and just get through my appointment and go home. Upon getting called back, i watched the nurse that did my triage write my medical information on a paper towel. I am hoping my privacy and HIPPA was not violated, and this paper towel was shredded, but this of course has made me more on edge. During the appointment the doctor decided to do a pelvic exam. The doc was professional, and i have zero complaints in the care i was given on his end, though the cleanliness of the office was appalling. They had just the lower part of the seat covered in paper, and the paper slipped during the exam and gel from the speculum ended up getting on the seat. They had disinfectant on the counter, and though its not my job to clean, i decided to wipe it up the gel on the seat. Upon doing so the tissue i used was covered in dirt. We are in a pandemic, and this is the chair every patient sits in. Why are there no coverings on the seats ? Why are they not properly disinfecting and wiping the seats down between each patient ?? If they were, the cloths simply wouldnt have picked up this much dirt. I will never be going back. I encourage those who are seeking, safe, clean healthcare in the Rome NY area to avoid this place as well. read more

My daughter was seen on 3/24/19 for a sore throat. We were in the room less than 15 minutes and told that we would be contacted about her throat culture results. No one ever called me with those results. Fast forward to today (4/15/19) and I just received a bill in the mail for $287. $207 for the "new patient visit", $50 "weekend or holiday charge" and $30 for the rapid strep test. We have two insurance companies. Neither were billed, though both are listed on the bill as valid policies. The guy at the desk copied both cards before she was even seen. AND I called before we went and asked if they took the two types of insurance that we have. I was told yes. And guess what? No one is ever available to talk to about the bill. You get a voicemail message every time you try to call to get a resolution. Never again. We've NEVER received a bill from the Urgent Care at the old Faxton Hospital. Not once. So much for trying to not have to drive so far to be seen. read more

If I could give no stars I would. One of the worst experiences I have had in an urgent care. Went for a simple pre surgical covid test. Was outside most of the 2hour wait.The office was filled, NO social distancing, masks not being worn properly or not at all, patient after patient complaining of covid symptoms. Spoke with the ladies at the front desk to express my concerns and they did nothing. SHAME ON YOU!!!! I can't imagine how many people are being exposed to covid in this office. 4/27/2022 Came as walk-in and expected a long wait but was seen in less than an hour. Reason for visit was chest congestion and sinus problems persisting for several days. Also answered yes to some shortness of breath sometimes. Duh chest congestion. Immediate EKG and Chest Xray both negative. Now all discussion is about possible heart problems. Recommends go to ER for further testing with ambulance or go by my transportation. Thats the end of their involvement. Get to St E's no problems found and was told they get this all the time from Wellcare. So my take is if you have any shortness of breath , no matter how short period of time . Don't go here . they just play CYA. Also gave me co vid test but no info to access results read more

My husband waited all day for his appointment at 7:30 to be seen. When he arrived on time, the receptionist rudely told him he could not be seen as they were 3 hours behind. No one called or sent a text message to let him know they essentially cancelled his appointment. Moral of this story, just show up, do not bother making an appointment. Woke up at Midnight to make an appointment for a rapid COVID test, due to travel out of state, for that morning. Showed up early and waited over an hour past my scheduled appointment time to be called in for my test. They gave me the standard test despite their advertised rapid test and my insistence that I needed it for work and school for my kids. The nurse was also extremely rude when I informed her I am also an essential worker. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AND WILL NEVER GO TO ONE OF THESE LOCATIONS AGAIN. read more

Awful. I went early 730am. There was three people checking in and I was told 40 minutes to get in with me and two other people checking in. i asked "Really? 40 minutes for 3 of us?". To which I was told they only have on provider and are very short staffed. Okay fine whatever. Then I wait another hour on top of an hour already in the room for someone to come in. At this point I will take anyone who can give me a script. I went in for a very simple, non-urgent issue that should have been in and out. The five minute visit when they finally came in 2 hours from arriving was stupid. Asking questions like have you been seen for this? Why would I be here if I was getting treatment for a little infected pimple? They have become an ER where you don't go in and out. The pick who they see when they see them. Every time I go in all I ever see is people sitting doing nothing. They didn't appreciate my clipped Attitude. Well I don't appreciated waiting 2 hours why you saw everyone else you deemed more important than my basic problem. Again speaking of Rome location. I've gone to Oneida and LOVE it. Rome should go and shadows them to learn how to do it right.!!! read more

They tell you show up 10 min prior to appointment just to wait another hr so if you have one just show up late safe yourself the headache

Love the save your time feature! From the front desk to the nurses and the NPs, everyone was great. Everything is clean and comfortable for the people waiting. I was shocked at how efficient they were. Really impressive. I hope the quality remains the same, because I would not hesitate to drive the 25 minutes to get there. read more

Phenomenal!!! Can't say anything bad - they were FULL! So many people to be seen and we were still out within 30 minutes. Staff was superior - all very nice and accommodating. Can't say enough great things. My kids said they want to go there everyday!!! (Hopefully we won't have to). Recommended for everyone!!! read more

Don't bother waiting the hour it takes to see the doctor just to have a general antibiotic and nose spray prescribed without any testing. I'm extremely prone to strep throat and went in thinking I would get tested. Now, instead of better I got significantly more ill. Not worth the visit and not worth the time. The north utica location is SLIGHTLY better. At least they test their patients. read more

The wait to get into WellNow had taken quite a while but it was also very busy especially with the recent spike in positive Covid cases. Today I had to go to WellNow because of a situation with work. I was seen by a wonderful MA, Jess and NP, Svetlana Baluk. I had been in a very stressful situation regarding work and they listened to me while I embarrassingly cried. They were so incredibly patient and kind. Even with the wait, the experience I had was better than anywhere else I have been. They were so great and I HIGHLY recommend WellNow in Rome, NY. read more

Have now been there three times. Twice with family members and once now for myself. The facility is very nice. The support staff seemed competent. The providers were nice but in all 3 situations they were dead wrong with their diagnosis, and additional care and different tratment was needed. We will not be going back. I don't recommend anyone else does either. read more

Worst place to be seen if you actually need results and follow up. Went there for the COVID-19 antibody testing. System was safely set up, staff appeared friendly. Was advised to follow up for lab results online (through Boston Heart), kept checking, no results. After 1 week called WellNow, was told that Boston Heart is backed up and to just keep checking the website for the results. After another week and still no lab results, called back to the practice. Brittany told me that she heard that something happened to the COVID antibody tests taken by WellCare on the date my blood was drawn. I asked what? She had no answer. I asked to speak with a manager. She placed me on hold, came back on the line and said that the manager was the practitioner and he was in with a patient. That they couldn't help me and I should call the lab (Boston Heart) myself to follow up. I said I don't even have the tracking information as to how my test was sent; I don't know that it actually reached Boston Heart and if it did reach them, who signed for it? I said it would be impossible for me to follow up on where my test is when I don't have the proper information and I am the patient and WellCare is my physician in this matter. She said she didn't know what to tell me...she couldn't help! That is just flat out horrific service! And this was the second bad experience that I had at this place. Very disappointed. I took my 7 month old son there when I noticed he was sick. He was coughing had a fever. I was told the fever was from him teething and there was nothing to worry about. Two days later I woke up to my son having trouble breathing! I took him to the emergency room and found out my son had croup!! read more
