I did not have time to see a dermatologist as the earlier appointment was well after my time in California. I needed immediate relief. I was in Fort Wayne and decided to go to Physicians Urgent Care as it was listed on my insurance plan. I came in and asked to see a doctor. After filling out some paperwork, i waited my turn. I noticed most of the people in the urgent care that day were people to do mandatory testing for work. After about 20 minutes, I was taken inside and spoke with a nurse and told her my issue. She saw the problem and said a doc would come in a bit. Another 15 minutes later, spoke with the doctor and explained the situation. He prescribed me some doxycycline and prednisone. After a few days of taking the meds, I was in good shape. If you need to see a doc quickly but its not something for the ER, go to Physicians Urgent Care!

Instead of receiving an answer, I was transferred between departments multiple times, eventually required to create a patient chart, and then told to wait several days for a response. When I called back, I discovered that my question had not even been communicated correctly. The staff insisted that I schedule an appointment so their providers could recommend a course of treatment. However, I already knew the treatment I wanted to pursue and was simply trying to determine whether the clinic offered it before spending time and money on an appointment. After multiple calls, someone finally sent my question to the providers, and I was informed that the treatment I was seeking was not available. However, without being able to speak directly with a provider, I had no way of knowing whether they lacked the specific brand of laser I had asked about or whether they did not offer that type of laser treatment at all. When I then asked what laser treatments they do offer, I was met with a rude and dismissive response that this was not the question I had originally asked, and no effort was made to help further. Patients should not have to jump through hoops simply to find out whether a clinic offers a specific treatment. The lack of communication, poor customer service, and unwillingness to provide basic information convinced me to cancel my appointment and seek care elsewhere.

I called over and over to try to get it on the the issue. But I got another bill today in September saying that I owe $200. I called them and they told me to call my insurance so I did my insurance says that I didn't owe them any money and that I was not responsible for this. I called them back and they told me that they can only had my insurance . So I did do that, and then I came into the office to make sure that this could get handled. When I came in here, the girl was super unhelpful and very rude to me and she was laughing and smiling when obviously this is already a frustrating situation. Did an okay to pretty good job. $165 for first visit and had to come back a few days later and it was $40 follow up. Tri care is a real piece of work, they did some shady stuff to cancel insurance in first place. So here we are and the wait was long. And it helps to register online and pre register. But the care was okay.

I'm trying to have a small procedure done that requires surgical prowess but not the overhead of a full hospital. They can handle that here (I hope). This is my second go through with this, so I'm not as happy as I would be if it was settled the first time, but whatever. When is anything ever cured after just one time?? Lol, a joke, obviously.... Anyway, Kelly was my physician, and she was kind and patient. I'm just hoping not to see her again, though, even though she was nice.... It's expensive, but not bad if you are really in a bind.
